SOPA and PIPA are two examples of recent legislation that is lethal to the internet as we know it. The internet rose up and is on its way to successfully fighting them off, but we need to stay vigilant.

The only way to prevent legislation like this from being passed in the future is to call your Congressmen and tell them. Make it clear that you don't support SOPA, you don't support PIPA, and that you won't support future legislation that damages the stability of the internet.

The Tor.com Readers Choice Awards are happening and it seems...

The Tor.com Readers Choice Awards are happening and it seems that I already have some votes for my novel Blood In The Skies. I haven't brought it up before now because I didn't really expect to get any, but since some people have thrown in their support behind it I figure I should put the information out here to see if the rest of you want to weigh in on the vote. I know that many of you have read the book and so far I have yet to hear any negative comments, so I think it's worth our trying to get it into the top ten at least.

If you want to vote, go here:

http://www.tor.com/blogs/2012/01/vote-in-the-torcom-2011-readers-choice-awards

Leave a comment with your vote. There are several categories. Blood In The Skies is eligible for Best Novel. Make sure your vote includes:

Best Novel:

Blood In The Skies by G. D. Falksen

Let's see if we can make this happen.
