WRITING BOOKS CAN BE LIKE ANY OTHER TALENT, SOMETIMES ONE HAS TO SORT THROUGH A LOT OF DOUBTS TO FIND THE MAGIC AUTHOR BUTTON. AMAZON HELPED DO THAT FOR ME. I WILL ALWAYS BE GRATEFUL.


ANNA PATTERSON:What inspired you to become an indie author?I think there are all sorts of things which make up a writer. Of course a writer has to be another thing to. I think writers show signs of being writers long before people take them seriously on this writing business.I myself took a few detours along the way. But one day I was sorting boxes of papers and a friend said, “Don’t you ever throw anything away.”“Actually,” I said, “I’m rather afraid I might be throwing away a Masterpiece!”As I put the boxes away, I thought of my dream of someday holding a book I wrote (myself) in my hands. I had struggled to do this for years and failed.One day a Facebook friend was talking about how she went “Indie”. I was intrigued and went looking for what this meant.One day, my husband said, “What are you waiting for?”That was in the Year 2012. It has enriched my life. I have friends all over the world. Yes, I have books all over the world. I have the most beautiful moments, talking writing with other writers, would be writers, just people who like to read and it just goes on and on. I read more, because I still love to do that.
I’d like to tell you how I loved learning how to down load an eBook and how to publish one. And I would tell you how it felt to actually publish a paperback book on Amazon and got that box of books, and saw it for the first time in my hands. I can’t explain it. I just cry.
