The Ukraine Charade, Revisited

Even if country 404 is utterly defeated in 2024, once again it’s imperative to stress it: this is far from over.

Selected players scattered around the Beltway silos of power, diligently working as messengers for the people who really run the show in the Hegemon, have concluded that a no holds barred confrontation with Russia would lead to the collapse of all of NATO; undo decades of US iron grip on Europe; and ultimately cause the Empire’s downfall.

Playing brinkmanship games sooner or later wou...

Wrestling the Culture Wars: A Book Review of Tyrus’s Nuff Said

Nuff Said is the second book by Tyrus (George Murdoch), professional wrestling champion, actor, and witty regular on Gutfeld!, TV’s top-rated late night show. While his first book, 2022’s Just Tyrus: A Memoir, recounts his life story, this latest offers the 50-year-old biracial performer’s takes on many political controversies, cultural phenomena, and personal struggles.

The narrative is well organized with a chapter on each topic, and the dominant theme of libertarian conservative tough love is...

Judging a Message by Its Messenger

As I noted in our book, The Courage to Face COVID-19: Preventing Hospitalization and Death While Battling the Bio-Pharmaceutical Complex:

Long before Covid arrived, I’d joked with friends that if the ever boasting and self-promoting President Trump discovered the cure for cancer, his detractors would rather forgo the treatment than acknowledge he’d done something of value for humanity. It’s probably an inevitable outcome of America’s two-party system that any president may become the object of h...

Americans Are Fighting for Control of Federal Powers That Shouldn’t Exist

It’s no secret that politics in the United States is growing increasingly acrimonious — to the point that a 2022 poll found 43% of Americans think a civil war is a least somewhat likely in the next decade.

But here’s what few people realize: The intensity of our division springs from a federal government operating far beyond the limits of the Constitution — fueling a fight for control over powers that were never supposed to exist at the national level.

To put it another way, if the federal gover...

Bibi Rejects Palestinian Statehood, Biden Says Bombing Yemen Doesn’t Work But Will Continue Anyway

Benjamin Netanyahu said he opposes Palestinian statehood and that Israel must control everything from the river to the sea on the same day Joe Biden said the repeated bombing of Yemen isn’t deterring Ansarallah but they’re going to keep bombing anyway.

“In any future arrangement … Israel needs security control over all territory west of the Jordan River,” Netanyahu told the press on Thursday, saying he has made this position clear to the White House.

Asked by the press on Thursday if the strikes...

My Brother, My Niece, and January 20

Most regular readers of my Substack know about my brother Ricky. He was murdered in a hospital by COVID protocol two years ago. On January 20. Which happens to be my niece Denise Marcellino’s birthday. Denise was born with Down Syndrome, and she changed the way I looked at the world.

I still think of Ricky every day. He would have been 75 last year. I would undoubtedly have tried to give him a big party to celebrate the milestone. I am so glad that I threw a big party for him on his 70th birthda...

The Tradwife Tragedy

Have you heard of the Tradwife Movement yet? It’s an acronym for “Traditional Wife.” So far, it resides especially among millennial and Gen Z women. These young women would prefer being stay-at-home wives, keeping house, and raising kids as depicted in ’50s and ’60s movies, TV series — Leave it To Beaver, The Dick van Dyke Show, Dennis the Menace, The Donna Reed Show, I Love Lucy — and so forth.

At hazard of melting a few feminist, LGBTQ — and other currently uncategorized snowflakes — I would s...

Trust the Experts, If You Dare

I received quite an invitation in the mail today. It was an opportunity to hear an “internationally-renowned expert on dignity” speak at the private school in my neighborhood. The event promised to show how dignity would “unlock potential” and “transform work environments” and so on. Her “ground-breaking” book had even “established” dignity as a key component of human interaction—who knew? This must be quite humorous to God.

You might wonder what it takes to become an expert in the area of digni...

Scuzzball Newsom Digs a Much Deeper Hole for California: Free Healthcare for Illegal Aliens

ABC News:

California will welcome the new year by becoming the first state to offer health insurance for all undocumented immigrants.

Starting Jan. 1, all undocumented immigrants, regardless of age, will qualify for Medi-Cal, California’s version of the federal Medicaid program for people with low incomes.

The final expansion going into effect Jan. 1 will make approximately 700,000 undocumented residents between ages 26 and 49 eligible for full coverage, according to California State Sen. María ...
