Stupid Macho U.S. Electioneering Will Push Biden Into Doomed War

Predictably, Joe Biden is being flayed by the Republicans over the killing of three U.S. troops in Jordan by Iraqi militants.

The Democrat president is slammed for being weak and a coward by his political opponents.

Donald Trump, his main Republican rival, mocked Biden as a “loser” and said the attacks on U.S. troops were because of the president’s “weakness and surrender”.

Nikki Haley, the other Republican vying for the presidential election this year, also taunted Biden for showing spinelessne...

Texas Denies Federal Agents Access To Border Park at the Heart of Razor Wire Standoff

EAGLE PASS, Texas – Texas has rejected the federal government’s request for access to a border park at the center of one of the ongoing disputes between the states and the Biden administration over immigration enforcement while the union representing the U.S. Border Patrol has said agents will not be pitted against state agents working to secure America’s southern border.

Fox News reported that after the U.S. Supreme Court’s 5-4 ruling last week allowing federal border-patrol agents to cut down ...

Children at Checkout

It is a trope of many intellectuals that to stack shelves in a supermarket, or to work at a supermarket checkout, is the worst fate that can befall a human being. Such a job is regarded as the very epitome of dead-endedness, though a dead end is what we are all progressing toward anyway, and many people do not particularly want excitement on the way to that inevitable dead end. They want peace and tranquility instead: As some of my patients used to ask, “Can’t you give me something to stop me th...

Gross Misconduct — The Final Nail in the Coffin for Antidepressants

According to medical journalist Robert Whitaker, author of “Mad in America” and publisher of madinamerica.com, the widely-made claim that antidepressants work for nearly 7 out of 10 real-world patients is based on research misconduct and scientific fraud.

“If the major media picks up on this story, they will have the chance to report on what arguably is the worst — and most harmful — scandal in American medical history,” he wrote in a January 3, 2024, article.1

The STAR*D Study

The study in ques...

Iran: Good Guy – Bad Guy – A PR Campaign

For over 100 years our government has told us who are the bad guys and who are the good guys.   And we dutifully believed because our government would never lie to us – it was unfathomable.   Today, our government is caught lying daily.   About everything.   No PR campaign can undo what has been revealed.    Everything we were told was fake – is real, and everything we were told is real has been found to be fake.   Therefore, we can assume this fakery will continue unabated because it is all the...

Tripwire Tripped in Syria – Now What?

Early Sunday morning, local time, a drone successfully struck a US military facility on the Iraq/Syria/Jordan border. Three US servicemembers were killed and several dozen were injured.

The US Central Command claims that the attack hit a facility inside Jordan, but Jordan and the “Iraqi Resistance,” which took credit for the attack, say the US facility was inside Syria’s border.

Why does it matter? Jordan is a US ally and as such American troops stationed on its territory – while in our opinion...

Letter from Charlottesville

I’ve been traveling in America, that poor beleaguered superpower, for the last week or so. This is a postcard for you from the war.

I left Brooklyn, New York, a week ago. On January 10, 2024, James Madison High School, up the road from where we are staying, had been commandeered by New York City’s Mayor Eric Adams. The kids who were supposed to have been learning math and English and science, were forced to stay home — once again — for “remote learning”, as their classrooms were occupied by peop...

In Defense of Stating the Problems Facing Us

“As regards intellectual work it remains a fact, indeed, that great decisions in the realm of thought and momentous discoveries and solutions of problems are only possible to an individual, working in solitude.”

Sigmund Freud,  Group Psychology and the Analysis of the Ego

I am completely sick and tired of all those who concentrate only on pretending to have solutions for all life’s problems, mostly political problems, for large swaths of people, while condemning those of us who strive to outli...

An Open Letter to Walter E. Block

Breaking up with a person you have known for more than thirty years, with whom you have participated in countless conferences and co-authored a couple of articles, even if only in the somewhat distant past, is nothing done lightly. It is even harder, if one shares with this person a common standing as a public intellectual and both our names are mentioned frequently in one breath as prominent students of the same teacher, Murray N. Rothbard, and as leading intellectual lights of the modern liber...

You’ll Own Nothing and You’ll Be Happy

Klaus Schwab was born in Nazi Germany in 1938. Little information is available as to his upbringing – i.e., the degree to which he was educated to believe in Nazi doctrine – but whatever he was taught in his youth, he is, today, one of the most ardent believers in, and proponents of, totalitarian rule.

The term “Nazi” refers to Nationalsozialistisch, or “National Socialism,” and its overall concept was fascism – a concept that encompassed a corporatist economic system, socialist political system...
