Gold’s Action Last Week Strongly Points to China

The price action on Thursday and Friday strongly hints that it was demand in China that spilled over into morning prices in Europe. Furthermore, on Friday morning Eastern time when Chinese speculators were gone for the weekend, prices fell from $2377 to close at $2360 pointing to western market-makers taking the opportunity to claw back some short positions.

Gaza

My take on the Gaza situation is “complicated,” to say the least.

I cannot reconcile what Israel is doing in Gaza with any serious application of historical notions of “just war theory” from a traditional philosophical, moral, or religious perspective. Nor can I reconcile it with modern laws of nations/laws of war. I would ultimately have to agree with Rev. Chuck Baldwin, a fundamental Baptist pastor who was the Constitution Party presidential candidate some years back, on this question.

Thoughts on Russia

The main reason that “the West” (USA/Europe/NATO) does not want a defeat or an end to the “Ukraine crisis” is that once it stops, Russia will most surely stop its “Special Operation” in Ukraine and pull out its forces (at least its “offence” forces, leaving perhaps some “defence” in strategic positions).

But the point here is that the lies and bullshit of “the West” would then be plainly exposed.
