The Coming Novus Ordo Seclorum – Change We Must; There Is No Choice!

On a visit to Oxford a few weeks ago, Josep Borrell, the EU’s High Representative, (Walter Münchau writes), made an interesting remark: “Diplomacy is the art of managing double standards”. Münchau illustrated its inherent hypocrisy by contrasting the enthusiasm with which EU leaders supported the ICC’s decision to seek an arrest warrant against Putin last year, and “yet not to accept it – when it hits a member of your team” (i.e. Netanyahu).

The most egregious example of such double ‘thinking’ c...

Having Too Much Money Leads to Catastrophe

The best thing that could happen to America would be the destruction of its credit card and a deep, prolonged recession that emptied the punch bowl of phantom bubble wealth and the illusion of endless credit.

Money being scarce saves us from many pernicious forms of mischief, and having too much money/credit leads to catastrophe. This is of course the exact opposite of the conventional belief that having lots of money makes life not just easier but expansive and, well, as perfect as human life c...

Mexico Election Bought by CIA & Drug Cartel

Mexico’s election begins today.  Gloria Sheinbaum is the preselected winner- Never Mind: her father was a communist.   Her husband went to jail for electoral fraud.  Claudia is an Ashkenazi secular Jew whose entire platform was abortion and LGBT – in a country that is 80% Catholic.   Claudia presumably pressured the University to give her daughter a free ride scholarship.  Never Mind these red flags because her preselection came from Master Soros.  I imagine like the South African election, vote...

Which Movie Will It Be?

“It’s almost as if the principals (prosecutors and judge) were performing for their political audience — with a wink, a nod and a stage whisper (“watch this!”) as they ignore yet another fundamental element of American due process.” — Jack DeVine on “X”

The ninnies of Bidenworld seem to not understand that by subjecting Mr. Trump to a kangaroo court they’ve made him the kind of outlaw that Americans revere above every other archetypal hero. He’s the new American Robin Hood, the people’s outlaw —...

Will the U.S. Proxy War in Ukraine Lead to Nuclear War?

When U.S. officials began using NATO to move eastward toward Russia’s borders after the ostensible end of the Cold War, their aim was to provoke Russia into invading Ukraine. Their hope was to embroil Russia in a forever war with Ukraine that would “degrade” Russia by bringing about the deaths of tens of thousands of Russian troops. By funneling U.S. weapons to Ukraine, another aim was to have Ukraine defeat Russia militarily in the hope that the Russian people or the Russian national-security e...

The Trump Convictions Reveal a Broken Justice System

The day that the former president was convicted of 34 felonies was the anniversary of the execution of St. Joan of Arc. She had been convicted by the judicial system of her time for an alleged series of crimes even though the reason she was on trial was about politics. Her victories were her real offenses against the system. She paid the price for challenging the powers that be of her time. In the arc of history, her loss was really a victory over her accusers whose machinations made her both a ...

Should Vladimir Putin Call His Shot on a NATO Brushback Pitch?

Whether or not it actually happened, the story of Babe Ruth’s famous “called shot” in Game 3 of the 1932 World Series has become one of the great legends of baseball’s Golden Age.

The Chicago Cubs fans in Wrigley Field had been relentlessly hectoring the renowned Yankee slugger and the cat-calls and insults intensified as he came to bat in the fifth inning with the score tied 4-4, especially after he took a first strike. At that point, the Bambino raised his hand, pointed to the bleachers, then ...

Civilization Depends Upon Economic Freedom

The BBC recently slapped a “trigger warning” on its popular 1969 series Civilisation, warning that viewers may deem the series objectionable as it presents Eurocentric perspectives. The series is now deemed to be “problematic” because it tells a “European story,” focusing on the Renaissance and the Enlightenment. This is criticized by academics—for example, the classicist Mary Beard—for excluding other cultures and also for excluding women while showcasing the achievements of men in Greece, Rome...

‘It’s Not You, It’s Me!’

A strange anti-logic is driving Washington today, and it cannot be explained solely by the military industrial complex, late-stage empire, metastasizing corruption or so-called colonial capitalism.

We see it in a bifurcated legal system that targets and punishes enemies of the “current” state – but this is not anti-logical.  The state, wherever it prevails, predictably protects its actors and players, while fending off competitors.  The health of the state is war, and not just war with other cou...

The Trump Trial and Our Injustice System

I’ve long criticized our current US justice system – on all levels – as becoming much more about political justice than blind justice. The bizarre trial and conviction of former President Donald Trump last week on 34 felonies only reinforces my concerns.

The New York District Attorney, Soros-backed Alvin Bragg, has been notorious for downgrading felony charges against others to misdemeanor charges. According to a recent article in the Daily Mail, Bragg had downgraded 60 percent of felony cases t...
