'My Interview With Ron Paul'
Ron Too Hot for Comedy Central?
Writes a friend:
See the "omitted clip" (MP3) from Ron Paul's recent Jon Stewart show interview. Source: Dvorak / Curry "No Agenda" podcast. Curry says the "omitted clip" (i.e. went online but not on air) was the best segment - possibly "too hot" politically for Comedy Central and it's advertisers as it directly mentioned heroin, the war on (some) drugs, and big pharma.
Ron Paul Nets $5 Million in 3rd Q?
I think this must understate it, since in his last letter for the end of quarter moneybomb, Ron said that $8 million was within striking distance. In any event, congratulations, Ron, for 100% non-special interest fundraising.

Ron Paul and the Oxbowing of Anwar Al-Awlaki
Writes Carl Spurchise:
The Oxbow Incident was a novel and Hollywood movie about townspeople in the old West who acted like vigilantes and lynched some drifters because of a circumstantial relationship with a murdered neighbor. No one defended the accused or believed their side of the story because there was no trial in a court of law. It's one of my favorite western classics because it teaches about the importance of the fifth amendment to the U.S. Constitution.
This novel reminds me of Mr. Al-Awalaki's situation. The American people will never know the truth about Al-Awalaki's alleged crimes. Even Nazis captured from WWII who were charged with crimes against humanity had trials in Nuremberg, Germany. Not Al-Awakaki. He got Oxbowed to death.
You can see what freedom and liberty in America is up against. As I see it, it comes down to Americans trusting what the federal government and the MSM (main stream media) toadies tell us or, we can analyze the situation more critically and adhere to the principles of the U.S. Constitution.
It is easy to listen to the jaded dialogue of the politico and the lack of independent critique by the corporate media and respond like a mob of rabid dogs, calling for the execution of an American living in a foreign land without benefit of due process. Anwar al-Awlaki was a citizen of the United States and a Muslim cleric who espoused hatred for the U.S. federal government. His belief in his heritage and the destruction of the Muslim way of life in the Middle East drove him and many other Muslims to respond with violence against the violence imposed by the neoconservative movement of imperialism and colonialism.
They know the petroleum corporatocracy that controls Washington wants to take over the oil supply in the Middle East. They know the U.S. government props up dictators in the region who curry favor with Washington and continue to oppress their people. Just look at the recent past with Egypt (Mubarak) , Libya (Gaddafhi) , Saudi Arabia (the royal family and where the 9/11 terrorists came from), Pakistan (Musharraf), Yemen (Saleh), etc. The neoconservatives have included Iran under a false threat of "they might build a nuclear bomb and use it against America." Why else would American oil businesses be there?
Washington with the help of the MSM has served a duel purpose for this energy agenda by fostering Muslim hatred for America and creating fear in the hearts of the American people. These masters of Orwellian thought control have decided to boldly eliminated the rule of law and have become the rulers of man. From reading the written criticism about Ron Paul condemning the murder of Anwar al-Awlaki we can see they are succeeding.
It is extremely difficult for Americans to be critical of the federal government and the military minions of the neoconservative movement during wartime. We are the guys that wear the white hats. We are the most democratic people on the globe. And in order to preserve democracy and our way of life we must kill all those who oppose us. They must submit to our will at the point of a gun and our democratic ideals, even if the concept of democracy becomes a moral ideological pawn for the more hidden agenda of conquest and power.
Congressman Ron Paul sees through the veil of corruption, war mongering and false patriotism and is trying to educate the people on the rule of law and how we are losing our principles of liberty and freedom. He clearly understands the blowback from foreign policy interventionism. He can look beyond the hyperbole of the moment and will lead America to peace and prosperity if we have the courage to open our eyes and listen to his words.
I say to all who have condemned Congressman Paul's views on the murder of an American citizen by our government; by not seeing what is really going on in Washington you have failed to protect your personal liberty, not only for yourselves but your families. This is how the government wants you to behave. They don't want you to think for yourselves. They wave our flag of red, white and blue in our faces as if it was a hypnotic finger snap and we stand straight and tall and don't question it. That is the Pavlovian behavioral response the government wants from us. If they accomplish their brainwashing then everything that Eric Blair wrote about will come true. It will be too late after that.
A vote for Ron Paul in 2012 is a vote for liberty and economic peace and prosperity. All the other candidates including the incumbent President will give us more of the same malaise the country has suffered for the last ten years. Ron Paul is the man for the job of President of the United States.

The Rev. Herman Cain, on the Jay Leno show, praised all his fellow neocons, but attacked the peace candidate Ron Paul as a "grumpy old man."
Ron Paul: I Would Try To Preserve Medicare
According to ABC News:
"Rep. Ron Paul is not going to take away your Medicare.
"That's what the Republican congressman from Texas told a room full of senior citizens in Concord, N.H. Friday night.
"'I would try to preserve it,' said Paul at a small assisted living community." Read the whole story.
