The Amazing Ron

Is this his best debate? Ron has been extraordinary tonight. And as frustrating and evil as Mitt Newtorum is, Ron has been terrific.

Ron's Favorite Moment in the NBC Debate

Four years ago, when Ron Paul took the free trade (and compassionate) position on sanctions against Cuba in the Florida debate, he was roundly booed. This time, though the audience had been instructed not to applaud, they did. The Cuban-American community--especially young people--are agreeing with Ron more and more. That anti-civilian sanctions, which seek to punish the Cuban people for their government, are immoral, and that they also strengthen the government, by enabling it to blame the failures of socialism on US hostility. As Murray Rothbard pointed out, sanctions never "work," except to do harm to the innocent. No government surrenders because of foreign sanctions, which are, under international law, an act of war. But to the US, foreign peoples who refuse to do the US's bidding by overthrowing their government and installing a US puppet regime deserve to be impoverished, sickened, and starved.

A Good Question

Paul Mulshine wants to know why Ron et al. were not asked about the TSA at the boring NBC debate.
