RP Delegates

Writes Eric Garris:

Last night, Ron got 4 delegates from Rhode Island based on his showing of 24%.

Ron got 5 delegates from Pennsylvania. The presidential primary last night was a non-binding beauty contest. Concurrently, unpledged delegates ran in each congressional district. It is up to the campaigns to tell the voters which delegate candidates are pledged to which presidential candidates. Ron Paul delegates won 5 of those seats. I don't know the details of how they did that.

The Green Papers now shows Ron with 85 firm delegates.

What Willard Believes in

I listened to as much of Romney's victory speech last night as I could stomach, but I did get three takeaways: he will promote federally funded school vouchers for urban areas (more spending, more welfare, and the government takeover of private schools that accept such government dough); continued low-interest student loans (more spending, more debt slavery for students, more riches for the college establishment); and "never apologizing" for US wars and interventions (more spending, more imperialism, more riches for the merchants of death, more killing, more maiming, more destroying). What a guy.

Voting Lesson

Writes Robert Kirchoff:

Learned another voting lesson today.

When Ron Paul announced his run I made sure to immediately change my NY voter registration from Independent to GOP for the sole purpose of voting for Ron in the primary.

Figured that was all I needed.  My bad.  Should have known better.

I went to vote for Ron and was turned away because in NY your registration doesn't change until the general election.
