Why Hasn’t the CIA Been Abolished?

If Ron Paul were president, he would get the ball rolling immediately to abolish the CIA. That’s because he strongly disapproves of most of what the CIA does and has done in the past. He’d expend the time, energy and political costs to see the process through. He’d fight this fight with his heart in it. He’d take the risk.

However, no president, including Trump, has decided to abolish the CIA or even broached the idea in public because each one has found the agency useful and/or each did not...

Russia-gate Flops

The national Democratic Party and many liberals have bet heavily on the Russia-gate investigation as a way to oust President Trump from office and to catapult Democrats to victories this year and in 2018, but the gamble appears not to be paying off.+

The Democrats’ disappointing loss in a special election to fill a congressional seat in an affluent Atlanta suburb is just the latest indication that the strategy of demonizing Trump and blaming Russia for Hillary Clinton’s 2016 defeat may not be...

The FDA Is Cancer

The gay lobby was able to overcome the Food and Drug Administration on anti-AIDS “cocktails.” This was one of the few major triumphs of politics over bureaucracy in my lifetime.

Consider this report.

Hasini Jayatilaka was a sophomore at the Johns Hopkins University working in a lab studying cancer cells when she noticed that when the cells become too densely packed, some would break off and start spreading. She wasn’t sure what to make of it, until she attended an academic conference and heard...

When Will the Mideast Blow Up?

What a scary week in the Mideast.  The epicenter of the world’s energy resources and the land-bridge between Asia and Africa is spinning out of control as the danger of a shooting war between the US and Russia grows daily.

A US F-18 warplane shot down a Syrian Air Force SU-22 ground attack aircraft over eastern Syria.  This was a grave, reckless provocation clearly authorized by Washington.  Russia, Syria’s ally, threatened to begin targeting its supposedly deadly S-300 missiles against US wa...

The Passing of the Pelosi Era

In the first round of the special election for the House seat in Georgia’s Sixth District, 30-year-old Jon Ossoff swept 48 percent. He more than doubled the vote of his closest GOP rival, Karen Handel.

A Peach State pickup for the Democrats and a huge humiliation for President Trump seemed at hand.

But in Tuesday’s final round, Ossoff, after the most costly House race in history, got 48 percent again, and lost. If Democratic donors are grabbing pitchforks, who can blame them?

And what was Kar...

How To Fight for Peace

As I’ve traveled around the country making speeches at college campuses, I’ve noticed that very few young people want war. In fact, I’d say that 90 percent of the people I come into contact with are opposed to new wars. So, the question is this: If so few people seem to want war, why do we keep getting so many of them?

The answer lies on how politics works in Washington, DC, and it lies in what kinds of people want political power.

Thanks to public apathy, combined with aggressive politicians...

Clinton Ally Headed for Jail

Media Matters founder David Brock has pocketed over $1million in unreported lease income. Trump administration shakeup at IRS could mean jail-time for the top Clinton aide.

It might soon be David Brock’s “time in the barrel,” according to high-level sources at the IRS, who are signaling a massive firing will take place in order to clean house from the Obama-era.

Over the past eight years, the IRS has unfairly targeted conservative groups and individuals while ignoring several glaring omission...

Can the FBI Take Down Another Prez?

I was surprised last weekend when one of President Donald Trump’s lawyers told my colleague Chris Wallace twice on “Fox News Sunday” that the president is being investigated by the FBI and then told him twice that he is not. This same lawyer repeated the “not being investigated” argument on a half-dozen other Sunday shows but did not repeat the “is being investigated” remark.

This produced substantial consternation in the news media and at the White House, since the President himself had twee...
