Police Are Worthless

The redundant mantra of gun grabbers is “It’s the job of the police to protect us,” or “Only professional law enforcement officers are qualified to protect us,” or “Citizens should not bear arms because it’s the job of policemen to protect us,” or statements to that effect. But the mass shooting in a Parkland, Florida, school proves the absolute fallacy of the above statements.

Constitutional Attorney John Whitehead recently wrote an outstanding column entitled “Armed And Dangerous: If Police...

Shaolin Monk Smashes Pane of Glass

The ancient Chinese order of Shaolin monks are famous for many extraordinary feats of human endurance and strength. But you might be less familiar with perhaps the most incredible of all – shattering glass with a mere needle.

It may sound impossible, but the Shaolins’ logic-defying move has been captured with a powerful slow-motion camera. Appearing on an episode of the ‘Super Slow Show’ on YouTube, monks clad in the Shaolins’ distinctive orange robes displayed this ridiculous feat in front o...

The Shocking Story of How Global Warming

Why do so many apparently informed, intelligent, educated people still believe in ManBearPig?

For the same reason that the U.S. underestimated the Japanese threat before Pearl Harbor; that General MacArthur stupidly advanced north of the 38th parallel in Korea; that JFK got embroiled in the Bay of Pigs disaster; that LBJ dragged the U.S. deeper and deeper into the Vietnam War.

A phenomenon known as ‘groupthink’.

Though the name dates back to a 1952 article in Fortune magazine by William H Why...

YouTube Secretly Using SPLC

The Southern Poverty Law Center is assisting YouTube in policing content on their platform, The Daily Caller has learned.

The left-wing nonprofit — which has more recently come under fire for labeling legitimate conservative organizations as “hate groups” — is one of the more than 100 nongovernment organizations (NGOs) and government agencies in YouTube’s “Trusted Flaggers” program, a source with knowledge of the arrangement told TheDC.

The SPLC and other program members help police YouTube f...

Consensual Government?

Most people agree that sex ought to be consensual.

Put another way, they think that no one should be forced to have sex against their will. And that if someone engages in sex without the consent of the other party, then it is sexual assault – and a moral horror.

Well, what about being governed without consent?

Does it not amount to the same thing?

Another person – or persons – force themselves on you. They violate you. They – or their proxies – literally lay hands on you if you attempt to get...

It’s Around Your Neck

In Part 1 we postulated that the chart below embodies nothing less than the nightmare that will be coming to Wall Street right soon. It means, in effect, that you can climb the financial tiger’s back for an extended time, but when you reach the mane its generally impossible to get off alive.

Needless to say, we have reached the mane. What drove the US economy for the past three decades was debt expansion—-private and public— at rates far faster than GDP growth. But that entailed a steady ratc...

Red-Green Delusions

The New York Times is running a series of “Red Century” articles extolling some of the virtues of communism on the 100th anniversary of the Russian Revolution. Last August, the Times showcased a Yale University lecturer rhapsodizing about the Soviets’ environmental record in a piece headlined, “Lenin’s Eco-Warriors.” The piece hailed Lenin as “a longtime enthusiast for hiking and camping” who “agreed that protecting nature had ‘urgent value.’” The article extolled the nature preserves that th...

Don’t Believe the Media

Media coverage following the school shooting at a Florida high school earlier this month appears to imply that these types of massacres are pervasive. As one New York Times headline put it, “A ‘Mass Shooting Generation’ Cries Out for Change.”

This is life for the children of the mass shooting generation,” the Times wrote. “They were born into a world reshaped by the 1999 attack at Columbine High School in Colorado that killed 13 people, and grew up practicing active shooter drills and huddli...
