‘Lock Them in and Burn It Down!’

Shop all books by Tom Woods [image error]

The Jordan Peterson phenomenon continues — and everywhere he goes, he makes complete fools of the little savages who try to disrupt his presentation.

I just saw footage from a Peterson event at Queen’s University in Ontario, Canada, earlier this year, where the usual antics went on (students yelling, students holding a sign on stage opposing “bigotry,” etc.) before the protesters finally had to leave.

I must say, it amazes me that Peterson should be controversial a...

Google Was ‘Working To Get Hillary Clinton Elected’

Tucker Carlson just blew the cover off the 2016 election influence charade, after he read an internal email on Monday night’s show from a senior Google employee who admitted to using company resources to make a “silent donation” to a liberal group that was creating ads and donating funds to bus Latinos to voting stations during the 2016 election in key swing states, in an effort to help Hillary Clinton win.

The email was sent by the former head of Google’s multicultural marketing department,...

The Real Contagion Threat

“And when everyone’s special… no one is.”
— The Incredibles

The real danger to the current institutional order was just demonstrated in Sweden. While I’ve talked at length about the potential financial contagion stemming from the implosion of multiple emerging market currencies it is the growing political crisis in Europe that will shape our future.

Sweden is The Land where Socialism Works, or so I keep getting told by ignorant leftists who cling to the power fantasy that central planning is...

Ex-US Intel Officers Warn Trump Over Syria Attack

MEMORANDUM FOR: The President

FROM: Veteran Intelligence Professionals for Sanity

SUBJECT: Moscow Has Upped the Ante in Syria

Mr. President:

We are concerned that you may not have been adequately briefed on the upsurge of hostilities in northwestern Syria, where Syrian armed forces with Russian support have launched a full-out campaign to take back the al-Nusra/al-Qaeda/ISIS-infested province of Idlib.  The Syrians will almost certainly succeed, as they did in late 2016 in Aleppo.  As in Alep...

Thank Q?

On September 5th, and by its own account, The New York Times took “the rare step” of publishing an anonymous Op-ed piece. But this was not your ordinary unsigned work of art. The author was said to be a top official in the Trump administration – with a serious ax to grind against the US leader.

In the very opening line of the explosive easy, entitled “I Am Part of the Resistance Inside the Trump Administration,” the writer drops a veritable bomb by alleging: “I work for the president but like...

How Things Fall Apart

A funny thing happens on the way to stabilizing things by doing more of what’s failed: the system becomes even more unstable, brittle and fragile.

A peculiar faith in pushing extremes to new heights has taken hold in official circles over the past decade: when past extremes push the system to the breaking point and everything starts unraveling, the trendy solution in official circles is to double-down, pushing even greater extremes. If this fails, then the solution is to double-down again. An...

PC Marches On

Some of you oldies will never believe this, but London is no longer the place of The Blue Lamp and other black-and-white golden oldies that were made in the Shepperton and Elstree studios by the great Rank and Korda organizations. During the postwar years, with rationing on and the empire still unraveling, England made some of the best movies ever. They were intelligently scripted, underplayed, and beautifully acted by thespians who had learned their craft on the stage. The one thing I rememb...

Serving Two Masters

“No man can serve two masters” (Matthew 6:24).

The fine print at the bottom of the website where I signed up to receive some religious newsletters read: “From time to time you will also receive Special Offers from our partners that help us make this content free for you. You can opt out of these offers at any time.”

I never paid much attention to any “special offers” I received in my inbox until I read the subject line of a recent e-mail: “Aim High And Accept The Call To Serve Those Serving.”...

Why Is the US

Last week, I urged the Secretary of State and National Security Advisor to stop protecting al-Qaeda in Syria by demanding that the Syrian government leave Idlib under al-Qaeda control. While it may seem hard to believe that the US government is helping al-Qaeda in Syria, it’s not as strange as it may seem: our interventionist foreign policy increasingly requires Washington to partner up with “bad guys” in pursuit of its dangerous and aggressive foreign policy goals.

Does the Trump Administrat...

Lew Rockwell Wins

A little while ago, I had the pleasure to step in as an Ambassador for the Mises Institute and receive the Roland Baader Prize on behalf of Lew Rockwell, as he unfortunately wasn’t able to travel to Germany due to health issues.

He received this prestigious prize for his life-time achievements from the Institute for Austrian Asset Management, founded by my friend Steffen Krug in Hamburg. The commendation speech was given by another old friend, Rahim Taghizadegan, who founded a “real academy”...
