Although quite opposite in many ways, recent information on climate change puts both polar bears and Adelie penguins in a similar state. Loss of sea ice = loss of critical habitat. Adaptations will (maybe) occur, but its a slippery slope indeed (pun intended). While wolverines are tough, and in this comic humorously hungry 'till the end, they too face critical habitat loss as late-season snowpack becomes less and less a reality. Stay tuned and stay ON IT with advocating for change. Warming is happening - how much, and whether we can arrest/reverse these alarming trends is up to you. GRRR!!!

Due to an overactive work schedule and an under-active imagination, the head wolverine at Harts Pass Comics has temporarily suspended operations. Gritty as they be, even the most diligent of the Gulo gulo can only do so much. Thanks for tuning in and come back next week!

After a LOOONG stretch of fog and grey, a few recent sunny afternoons have been simply energizing! Thankfully, we've paired that sun with some 20 degree nights again (finally) and our resilient winter will hang on just a bit longer.

Mess with that Griz when you don't have a plan or any prior experience with Griz-like situations... and your confidence may take a hit!Wrapped up a fun comics workshop with the Methow Elementary 5th graders last week. I always forget to take photos of these residencies in action, but I will post some of the student comics when I get them all collected again (we're making a book) next week!
