We Respond to Your PRIVATE Etiquette Conundrums | Ben and Jennifer Scott

Our last etiquette video was a big hit! So many of you tuned in to hear our response to your etiquette conundrums. Ben and I are back today with a video answering your private etiquette conundrums.

When I put out the call for you to send us your stories and questions, I mentioned that you could email me privately through my author website if you wished to remain anonymous in the video. I was surprised to see that I had no emails (I normally receive a notification when I receive a web site message). A few days passed and I decided to check the website internally. I had so many emails from you that it broke the system!

*Please note: I have been receiving so many emails that I am not always able to respond. Please know that I love receiving your emails and read every one!

So today, we are responding to your private etiquette queries. Everyone in this session will remain anonymous. I hope you enjoy our answers. As always, we love to hear from you! Please chime in with your input in the comment section below. Your comment could be chosen as comment of the week on the blog.

I hope you enjoy today's video.

Chic February Assignment Check-In

Hello everyone, I hope you're having a lovely weekend. I would love to hear how your Chic February assignment is coming along. Please leave your comments below with your updates. I love to hear from you.

In today's video I share my updates with you. What strange thing do I do when listening to the Beethoven Sonata? What is the one piece in my ten-item wardrobe that isn't working for me? What new natural find do I have? What have I been reading? Watch for more.

Mentioned in today's video: this is my faux flower arrangement, my candle, the LL Bean dresses (these are the new ones for spring), shampoo bars, conditioner bars, and The Private World of Tasha Tudor.

Have a lovely weekend and I'll see you Monday for part 2 of our Etiquette Conundrum video. :)

Nurysh Lyft | 7-Function Anti-Aging Skincare Device

Our skincare week continues as I try out the Lyft, a 7-function anti-aging device by Nurysh. When I reviewed the Clarisonic device many years ago many of you found my extended reviews helpful. Today's review is similar to that, but I'm trying out this new technology.

Today's video is sponsored by Nurysh. They sent me the Lyft to try and I used it over a period of three weeks, which I catalog in today's post.

I've been generally happy with my skin lately. As I mentioned in yesterday's skincare review, my skin is the best it's ever been! I used to suffer from acne and unevenness, but with the combination of natural skincare, and taking better care of my skin, I am finally seeing great results. Even though I have been pleased with my skin, I was still interested to see if the Lyft could do anything for me.

The Lyft is a really unique device. It has seven different functions and many of the functions can be combined. Here are the functions: Cleanser, deep cleanse, nutrition, nutrition plus, anti-aging, anti-acne, and face lifting. My favorite functions are the cleanser, and the face lifting massage. The Anti-aging function was what I used when treating my dark spot (see below).

Here is more information from their website.

Happy Valentine's Day, everyone! Welcome to the skincare weekend on The Daily Connoisseur. Today, I'm reviewing four different natural skincare lines for you and tomorrow I test out a new technology anti-aging skincare device.

I have been working on this skincare feature for the past few months, trying out different natural skincare lines to share with you. The lines I'm featuring today have different price points, and different features. All are natural, some more than others. Two lines are organic and three of the lines feature anti-aging benefits. I have used each of the lines for a minimum of three weeks straight (I started this back in November) to be able to report my findings to you.

Let's get started. Below, I am sharing pictures and information on the products from the manufacturers. For my opinions and insight, be sure to watch today's video.

Rebound with Me February 2019 | Jennifer L. Scott

Join me for my monthly rebound with me series. My aim was to jump on the rebounder every day in January, but I didn't quite get to that and the month seemed to fly by. I have the goal of dong 5 minutes a day now in February. I hope you enjoy jumping with me in today's video.

This is the rebounder I use for exercise.

And linked here are the jogger pants I'm exercising in, as well as my Daily Connoisseur workout sweatshirt.

I hope you enjoy jumping with me in today's video. I shot this last week and have been jumping to this same routine each night. It's been fun listening to the music and jumping along! I hope you have fun too.

Please note: this video is for entertainment purposes only. Please consult a health professional before embarking on rebounding.

Have a wonderful weekend and I'll see you on Monday for an interview with author, Fiona Ferris!

Extreme Junk Drawer Declutter | Jennifer L. Scott

Today I have some much needed junk drawer therapy for you. Clear your junk drawer (or drawers as in my case) along with me and let's get organized.

I find that my junk drawers form when I'm tidying quickly and/or trying to keep things out of my children's reach. I can have a bad habit of stuffing items in drawers so they are temporarily out of sight. This has resulted in three junk drawers in our home (or drunk drawers as I keep calling them. I can't talk in today's video! :) My children also are in the habit of putting things in our junk drawers as you will see. I find some crazy things in there!

Today's video is a collaboration with the lovely Robin from Faith and Flour. Robin has such a great YouTube channel! She has a lovely manner about her and her videos are so pleasing to watch. Show Robin some love and check out her video after you watch mine. Make sure you tell her I say hello and subscribe as well!

A few things I mention in my video today:

Rainy Day Classics This is a great classical music album, great for anyone looking for a comprehensive collection.

La Bonne Cuisine de Madame E Saint Ange is a classic French cookbook my parents gave me. I have a great idea for a series surrounding this book. Stay tuned!

I clean my drawers with my e-cloth. I love the e-cloth! It cleans with just water and picks up so much with its tightly woven bristles.

It's time for another Mrs. Meyer's review, this time of her newest scent, Rain Water.

This scent can only be found at Grove Collaborative currently. I'm passing on Grove's February special to you here:

New customers receive: Mrs. Meyer's Hand Soap, Mrs. Meyer's Dish Soap, Seedling Paper Towels, Seedling Bath Tissue, Grove Walnut Scrubber Sponges
Free Shipping & VIP Trial when you spend $20.

Existing Customer Offer:

The Seedling paper towels and bath tissue are made of bamboo. I haven't tried them yet but have an order on the way. Let me know if you like them!

Natural & Organic Makeup Tutorial | Natural Home with Jennifer

On today's Natural Home with Jennifer, I'm doing a le no makeup look tutorial using mostly natural and organic makeup. Today, I'm featuring Elina organics makeup.

Elina Organics makeup products are 100% natural, contain Pearl Powder and Zinc Oxide for all day sun protection. Products are free of Talc and other toxic chemicals. They contain very minimal ingredients, making it perfect for even the most sensitive complexion.

The makeup will not accentuate or clog your pores. It will infuse your skin with skin nourishing and protecting amino acids, vitamins, and probiotics. You are able to achieve different levels of coverage from almost translucent to complete concealing.

Here are links to the makeup used:

Sun Shelter tinted moisturizer, crushed pearl powder foundation (I used medium), anti-wrinkle eyeshadow in espresso, anti-wrinkle eyeshadow in raspberry latte, and all natural mascara.

The tinted moisturizer goes on sheer, but still has great coverage. It feels light on the skin and moisturizes well. It is truly the star of the show.

I love the eyeshadows too. They start off as a cream and finish as a powder and last all day. I even used them without applying primer first and they last all day without creasing. The crushed pearl powder foundation works beautifully and I was very pleasantly surprised by the mascara. All in all, this is an excellent organic makeup line.

Elina organics also sent me the natural lash growth serum with peptides, which reportedly aides in lash growth. I haven't used this long enough to comment on whether or not it works. I can come back and let you know.

Other makeup used in the video (not organic)
bareMinerals concealer
Mac mineralize blush in warm soul
bareMinerals lipgloss in hype (I use this over the Elina organics lip color, which is too light for me)

I hope you enjoy the tutorial in today's video. If you have any requests for future Natural Home with Jennifer videos, please let me know. If you have a great natural and organic makeup line you use, please share in the comments. Have a wonderful weekend and I'll see you on Monday.
