Tidbits You Don’t Want To Miss!

We live in an amazing universe—one we have barely begun to explore. As humans on the verge of entering our planetary adulthood, we are just now learning to get along with each other, to have enough power as individuals to reach toward the greater good, and to awaken the global heart as an organizing principle.

There is still so much to discover in the micro and macrocosmos, as we reach into bigger and smaller pieces of the big picture. Here, for your amazement, education, and entertainment, is an amazing graphic that shows the scale of what we can perceive—from the infinite cosmos, to the tiniest subatomic particles. Unfamiliar with any of the objects you see as you scroll back and forth?  Click on any object to learn more. You’ll discover “femtometers” and “zeptometers,” Pluto’s moon named after a monster, the size of the Grand Canyon compared to Rhode Island, and much, much more.  Enjoy!   In my forthcoming book,  THE GLOBAL HEART AWAKENS , I talk about how humanity is maturing  into an era ruled by the power of love more than by the love of power. Research shows that our capacity for love expands as we get older; that women care more than men, and that those who gravitate toward spirituality have more love for humanity than others. In the book, I talk about how humanity is facing an initiation into our future adulthood, in which the principles of the heart will lead the way. Check this out to see how the research plays out, with easy to view graphics. As we face this initiation, we are already seeing more and more tragedies, such as the recent tornadoes in Oklahoma, which is a microcosm of what is happening in many parts of the world that are facing food and water shortages, natural disasters, and other challenges. How do we hold compassion in the face of repeated news of these tragedies?  It is a challenge for us all as we face “compassion fatigue” at a time when our caring is most important. Here’s an article that discusses why we have more compassion for one than for many and how to improve our caring and compassion. We have the immense privilege to be co-creators in this universe. It’s all a matter of learning how. The downward current of manifestation that runs through the chakras, reflects the universe’s basic organizing strategy—the condensing of consciousness into more and more solid forms, from mental conception to physical manifestation. If you want to be a manifestor and learn more about how this process works,  we have a FREE call with visuals you can download.  Or if you want another chance to hear this call LIVE and ask your own questions, we are offering it again on June 10th. We also have a FREE call coming up on May 28th about chakras and relationships and expanding your love, so tune in, turn on, and join us in this awakening of the global heart. Love and blessings,Anodea Judith

Hooray, Hooray, it’s Finally May!

Namaste!

In the ancient Pagan calendar, the beginning of May is known as Beltane, the point halfway between spring equinox and summer solstice. This is my favorite holiday, as I love the bursting of spring, the promise of summer, and the exuberant dance into the season of light. In the Wheel of the Year, as it is called in mystery traditions, Beltane represents the Gods’ reunion day, or the Sacred Marriage of Divine Feminine and Divine Masculine. From their union is born the Divine Child that carries the seed into the future.

In celebration of Beltane, we dance around the Maypole. This obviously masculine symbol rises from Earth to Heaven, connecting the two. Within us, the Maypole represents the core, where Heaven and Earth are united through our chakras. As we come into our core, through aligning our earthly bodies and our highest spiritual aspirations, our visions, creativity, love, power, and erotic union, we become that fusion of Divine Mother and Father: we become the Divine Child. We are just now awakening to our divinity, still innocent, yet discovering we have powers beyond either parent, beyond anything that has come before.

Dancing around the Maypole, we weave colorful ribbons with song, with blessings and prayers. The circle represents the feminine field. It is the realm of connection, relationship, community, co-creation–all the possibilities that happen when we work together. It is what holds us, sustains us, nurtures us. This dance is an ancient rite, and here at home, on our Heavenly Hilltop, we have cut a Maypole from the woods for that purpose, which we will dance around this weekend.

The Sacred Marriage and the emergence of the Divine Child archetype is one of the major themes of my new book, THE GLOBAL HEART AWAKENS, which finally went off to the printer just yesterday (on the first of May!). This theme is a defining myth for our emergence into an era of the heart: ruled by the power of love, the power of joining together, balancing the archetypes of masculine and feminine, heaven and earth, mind and body, through the sacred center of the core. The book’s official release date is July 1, and you will surely hear more about it as the time approaches. I feel it is the magnum opus of my life’s work, a deep analysis of where we are on this planet, how we got here, and how to move forward, the map for our planetary awakening.

So this Beltane, however you celebrate, honor the divine in yourself, in each other, in the earth and sky. Let these forces merge together in love. Get outside and experience the miraculous rebirth of nature–the wildflowers, the melting snow, the lengthening days, the rushing streams, all the miracles of renewal that make life possible.

And know that the awakening of the divine is going on in all of us to the degree that we can tune in, turn on the Shakti, and show up as evolutionary agents as this amazing time on the planet.

Happy Beltane!

With love,
Anodea Judith

Creating Heaven on Earth

As we approach the 43rd Earth Day, we see that humanity has come a long way--and I mean that both positively and negatively. When the first Earth Day happened in 1970, people were barely beginning to wake up to environmental issues. Rachel Carson's groundbreaking book Silent Spring, had alerted us to the dangers of DDT, a pesticide with dangerous side effects to birds and other life forms. Deemed one of the best non-fiction books of the 20th century, it shocked people out of their slumber to realize our impact on the environment had a cost.

[image error]Now sustainability has become a buzzword, with hundreds of thousands of organizations formed to address some aspect of environmental damage. Awareness has risen, world conferences have happened, green technologies are well under way, recycling is taken for granted, and even corporations are beginning to green up their enterprises. Deep ecology has shown us that everything is connected. Gray industry is turning to Green innovation.

On the other hand, we've also come a long way in the level of harm to the planet. Climate is fluctuating around a dangerous edge, with carbon levels at 400 ppm, 50 more than what has been considered a precipitous point of no return, with expectations it may go up to 500ppm in the next 50 years.

Forests are disappearing; rivers are drying up; soil is turning to desert; food and water are becoming scarce; oil is running out-and so is our time to make change.

Creation and destruction have always happened simultaneously. We can't have one without the other. The difference now is that both are happening faster than ever before. Which will prevail is an open question, one that depends quite literally on what we do today. For every day that passes without making change, we lose more options for the future. Our children and grandchildren will pay the price.

Four billion years of life's evolution on Earth now rests in our hands. With power on a scale of Gods, we can change the climate, alter the gene pool, blow ourselves to bits, or create Heaven on Earth. The choice is ours.

We've been given the knowledge, through centuries of study; we've been given the tools, through advanced technologies; our infrastructure is already here--the roads and buildings and systems of coordination. We have only to determine the purpose for all that we've been given, and to get mobilized behind that purpose.

Our environment is the senior partner in the dance. We cannot survive without it. But even more, it is our lover, the sacred other in the relationship of culture and planet.

When that lover is acknowledged and honored; when both progress and sustainability are balanced; when our primary relationship with the world around us is healed from a paradigm of separation to one of co-creation and partnership, we have the capacity to create Heaven on Earth-not in some distant otherworldly place, not just on one particular day, but right here, right now, on this Earth Day, and Every Day.

Love and light.

Celebrate Humanity's Most Precious Asset: LOVE!

THE GLOBAL HEART AWAKENS!!

Well friends, we passed the dark point of the year back at Winter Solstice, 2012, and we survived. Now we are moving into the light again, rounding the bend to celebrate humanity's most precious asset: LOVE.

love-2.jpgHow fitting that I write you this note having just finished up the manuscript of my new book THE GLOBAL HEART AWAKENS. My heart is soaring!  I can't wait to share it with you, as I feel its message of hope will be an important guide in the rite of passage that humanity is facing into at this incredible time on the planet.

From my two decades of research on this book, spanning the discovery of fire to the present time, along with scads of evolutionary theory pointing to the future, I clearly see how humanity is entering an era of the heart chakra. The new organizing principles of collaboration and cooperation, empathy and compassion, non-violence and participatory democracy, gift economies and green technologies, are leading the way to the future. Top-down, power-over, dominance structures are falling, heaving with their last desperate gasps for breath. Violence has been in steady decline (despite news media that would like us to think otherwise), creativity is flourishing with more innovations than we can keep up with, and the world is learning to handle a group mind through the myriad synapses of the Internet.

Humans are smarter, more empowered, freer to create and express themselves than we have ever been at any point in history. We have more prosperity (the middle class lives better than kings and queens of old), more freedom to question and think for ourselves, more ability to organize, innovate, and propagate our ideas.

It's been a long haul through millennia of history for humans to have the maturity to enter this phase, and we still have our challenges in getting there. But the time is ripe like never before for us to celebrate all that we have together and open our hearts to the possibilities before us.

The question of today is not, "What's going to happen?" It's asking, "What are we going to create?" We who are alive today are the parents of the future, co-creating in partnership with each other and with the Divine. We are not the end of a failed experiment in evolution, we are the designers of the next iteration.

We have the capacity to design a world we can love. We can let love be our guide and our social organizing principle. We can accept the invitation to love and to live from the truth of our hearts. We can co-create heaven on earth.

This is the love story that I'm excited about.

Happy Valentines' Day!

HAPPY 2013!

Well, we made it. The fated 2012 is over and we are still here. I believe we have turned a corner that will make itself more apparent as the year unfolds.

Thirteen is actually a number of magic and a reflection of the feminine, since there are 13 moons in a year. When patriarchy took over, 13 was made into an unlucky number, but in point of fact, it signifies the unexpected and powerful. So harness those forces as we move into the year of the snake, symbol of transformation.

As we enter the next chapter of evolution, the questions are changing. No longer do we passively ask, "What's going to happen?"  Now the question becomes "What will we create?"

Once we've answered that, the next question is how.

Let 2013 be a year where you learn how to manifest your highest purpose. There is no better time to roll up your sleeves and start creating heaven on earth.

Click below to join me Kripalu Yoga Center in Lenox, MA on February 18-22 for Creating on Purpose: Manifesting through the Chakras. End of the World or its Bright Beginning?

Well, here we are folks, the moment we've all been waiting for and wondering about: Winter Solstice 2012.

We now stand at the threshold, the turning point between light and dark, old and new, as it is every year at this time. Here lies a grand gateway to the future, if we choose to make it so.

This ancient Pagan holiday of holding vigil through the darkest night and celebrating the returning light is largely overshadowed by the more popular Christmas and Hannukah celebrations. This point in the year wheel has always been an opportunity to let go of the old, to enter into the empty space of "between" and find hope in a new beginning.

This year is a little different. Whether you believe the prophecies that say the world will end, or that spaceships will emerge from alignment with the galactic center, or sinners will be lifted up in divine rapture, or new agers will suddenly be transported into another dimension, what is unarguable is that there are more people around the globe focusing energies at this one moment, than ever before on this pivotal holiday.

If our beliefs create reality, then what you believe at this time is crucial to what emerges.

Here's how I see it:

We are reaching the point where evolution becomes conscious. Rather than being passive recipients, we have the tools to be conscious co-creators of our future. In fact, our future demands it.

Here's where the initiation begins. The perfect storm of catastrophe's gathering on the horizon will meet humanity at its most intelligent, connected, technologically empowered, and creative stage of development we've ever been in. These crises will initiate a new organizing principle, which I call a change in operating systems, from the love of power to the power of love. We don't lose our power to move to the heart chakra, we stand in it, our feet reaching all the way down to the sacred earth, our spirits reaching for the stars. We are the axis mundi, the vertical channel that connects them

2012 isn't the end or the beginning, but entry into that liminal place between. It is the point where the values that have been on the fringe--such as meditation, yoga, alternative communities, organic food, peace movements, gay rights, etc.--now move just over the line to become more mainstream. It is where the effects of human civilization on things like climate instability become irreversible, and we head down the tunnel of monumental global change.

Join us in whatever way you can at humanity's birth date 2012. You can witness the Birth 2012 TV Livecast from noon on Dec. 21st to Dec. 22nd – 33 hours from 40+ locations, from Mexico’s pyramids to India to Jerusalem to Thailand – all the major events happening on the planet via The Shift Network by clicking here. I'll be featured in a live streaming interview at 8:30 P.M. PST tonight (Friday) 12/21/12!

And have a wonderful holiday, however you celebrate it.

Almost There!

Use the Player Below to Hear the Personal Meditation from Anodea

December 14, 2012.

The Winter Solstice of 2012, long prophesied as a turning point for humanity, is only a week away. Is the world going to end? Or is it just beginning?

In every transformation, there is a letting go. There are dyings and endings that take us deep into our soul to make room for the new. At this time of year it's important that we dive deep into the darkness, enter the quiet of the inner temple, empty out the internal clutter, to rise up again with the returning light.

As the stalks of summer plants now get buried underground for the winter, they release their seeds into the earth. In this journey to the underworld, what is unnecessary is stripped, what is essence remains. In that stripping we can better see what is eternal: the archetypal patterns of existence, the love we share with others, the indwelling beloved nourished by universal love.

Evolution comes in waves. Risings and fallings of eras and empires, changes in values, continual upgrades in cultural operating systems. We are carriers of that wave, and we are riders of it at the same time. To carry it forth, we must open to receiving it, open to change and transformation.

Thank you for riding this revolution around the sun with us. It's a meditation about being carriers of the wave. May you be fortified at this important time. May you open your heart and receive the infinite splendor of divine love that is the message of this time.

Reflections on the 60's

Well, it happened last weekend. Stealthily, like a thief in the night, or a mickey slipped in my drink, it crept up on me when I wasn't looking. Just the way life happens when you're busy living it. One day at a time, one more year, and now another decade marking my trips around the sun. On December 1st, 2012, I turned 60.

This isn't what 60 looked like in my parent's generation. It may not be what 60 looks like in the future, now that we no longer raise our children on bologna sandwiches made with wonder bread and send them off to their rooms unseen and unheard while watching Father Knows Best re-runs. But it's what 60 looks like for me. Loving friends and relationships, maturity in my work, beauty in my surroundings, a rich life in all the ways that matter.

What 60 really looks like is the view I see looking out at from within, honed by years of perspective. Gazing out my office window at my hilltop view, I see a new world coming into being, one that I just might live long enough to witness. I see promise and peril circling each other like a pair of dogs on the street, to see who gets fed the most. I see a generation coming of age, one that lived on the fringe for so many years, and are now becoming the elders.

We were the weird ones. We were into meditation, yoga, and having our religious experiences in circles rather than pews. We were back to the landers, with mud on our boots, planting trees in the forests and growing organic food. We were renegade do-it-yourselfers and visionaries who worked long hours on shoestring budgets with handwritten mailing lists to bring something better to the world.

And now we are taking the reins to the future. The previous elders are dying off, just as we will too when our time comes. The younger generation is more alive, dynamic, savvy, and involved than we ever were - even when we thought we were the next wave of enlightened ones.

Now we have technology to spread our messages far and wide. We are living at the time of the great cusp, the planetary birth, the global awakening, the discovery of our shared ground and collective heart.

The only thing 60 really means is that I'm old enough to remember the 60's the first time around. The promise that came alive at that amazing time never died, it just went underground while we all did our personal work of cleaning up the mess of social shrapnel left in each of our psyches. Now we have an environmental mess to clean up - but our tools are so much better.

We can create Heaven on Earth, and in time we will. It's in our hands, but fortunately, it's much too large for anyone to hold alone. We each get only a few threads to weave into this dynamic tapestry.

And what do I want for my birthday? I want for everyone to be a part of that endeavor - to live with vision and possibility, to co-create from the highest to the manifested plane, to awaken the global heart, and to join together as Evolutionaries in the emerging symphony of the future. For what else were we born?

Blessings,
Anodea
