Update

My latest book is finished and the count down to when "Dark Secrets" has started!!!!

discouragement

As a new author, sometimes not getting the amount of followers on your social media, or your books not selling well can be a huge discouragement and you really start to think maybe I'm not good at this or that you should give up. I am currently in that state of mind but I read something before that reminded me to keep going. "Many of life's failures are people who did not realize how close they were to success when they gave up." -Thomas Edison Sometimes you just have to keep going, maybe it will be tomorrow or next year but you will never succeed if you give up.

New book coming!

Last night I finished my latest book and I couldn't be happier about how it came out it is still being edited but the writing is done and I got the cover finished. I can't wait to share it with the world

When inspiration hits

So I was washing my dishes and all of a sudden this idea hit me, my daughter was using my laptop so I grabbed the closet notebook and wrote everything I could down. It's funny when an idea comes to you and you know if you don't write it down you'll forget, but I am thankful I got it down, I fell in love with the idea as soon as it hit me and it was like a waterfall, as it just started flowing out of me.

Update

Working on my new book currently! What inspires everyone? I have a storyboard on my computer and I always keep a notepad on me at all times and any time an idea hits me I write it down so I can go back to it. Sometimes I will sit near the lake or in front of my computer and close my eyes as I put myself into a different head space. Once the characters become real to me it is time to write and I may go back and change things constantly but getting the basic idea down is first its like drawing a picture, once it is all drawn you can color it in and give it more definition.

Blocked!

When I write I will work on a few stories at a time because I have always had a hard time concentrating on just one but then sometimes I get blocked on not one but multiple stories at once. I have to go back reread and look back through old notes until something strikes me and thats when I get some of my best work!
