Coming in 2010

A number of you have asked, so here's this year's list of projects as it stands now. There will probably be a couple of additions along the way -- we'll just have to see how things go. I'm planning to work at a much slower and saner pace this year.

Spec fiction novella THE DARKLING THRUSH - "Book Hunter" Colin Bliss travels to the remote Outer Hebrides of Scotland in search of a legendary witch’s grimoire despite the warnings of dour occult museum curator Septimus Dunne. That's...

Happy New Year from Josh Lanyon

I'm going to keep this simple and sincere. I wish you all health and happiness in 2010 . I still don't want to think about next year's projects, so that list will wait till next week.

Meantime, for those of you who purchased the Dark Tide playlist from iTunes, there is a cover that goes with it -- you can download it from my website news page.

As for the three winners of The Dark Tide Playlist, contact me off-list with your email address and I'll be sending your gift code along shortly. The win...

They Seek Him Here, They Seek Him There...

Come to think of it, that's NOT a Christmas song.

Anyway, I finished the edits to The Dark Tide last night. We remain on target for the 22nd. The final version is 81K and change (more than double the size of the original version of Fatal Shadows). Lots of plot, lots of relationship, lots of lots of. So you should enjoy it. At least it should keep you busy for a while.

Meanwhile I'm blogging at Jesse Wave's today. She's started this peculiar rumor that it's my last appearance on her blog, but ...

Blogging and Giving Away Books

I'm blogging over at Speak Its Name -- the historical GLBT site. http://speakitsname.com/2009/12/10/un... Post a comment and you'll be eligible for a chance to choose any e-book from my backlist.

Meanwhile, over at Teddy Pig's, http://www.teddypig.com/ your favorite GLBT authors are chiming in with the top five books that inspired them to write (six in my case because...uh...I can't count)

Stop by and share your own thoughts and favorites.

And hey! I'm still on the Top Ten over at Samhain's MBSaM.

And the angels sing...

I've got Martha Tilton singing the soundtrack to my morning. And it is a beautiful morning. The sun is shining -- which is astonishing after yesterday's downpour. The hills around us are dusted in white, but it's already melting.

The Dark Tide is finished and off to the editors. I figured you'd want to know. If the ebook makes the December 22nd release date (and it does look pretty good) it will be largely to the efforts of the folks at Loose Id -- and I'd like to thank them in advance for al...

What the Dickens?

New release yesterday and I pretty much missed it as I was still crashing through the brush and swamp that is The Dark Tide. Holy hell that's a complicated book, if I do say so myself. And I do...with my last exhausted breath.

Anyway, The Dickens with Love is out from Samhain. This is my first attempt to just write a sexy, light-hearted holiday romance. No mystery. Or at least no more mystery than one would expect from the typical contemporary romance. It is very...Christmassy. And very quirky...

Stuff and Nonsense

A brief word about a couple of things and then I must go radio silence for a time. I have an insane amount of STUFF to plow through before the end of the month -- or even Thanksgiving Day. So...hope you are enjoying the books and having a jolly weekend, and do not fret if you don't hear from me for a bit.

First...many of you have informed me that Esprit de Corps is now in print at Amazon. Thank you. No, I'm not listed as an author, but my story is in there nonetheless. "Out of the Blue," the...

Last Call

To preorder Strange Fortune. If you want the exclusive downloadable goodies -- and the free shipping -- you've got to order before Midnight (PCT) on Friday.

This is the last reminder -- just so you know.

And for those of you who've already bought the book -- thank you so much. I do appreciate it. And if you haven't already received your exclusive goodies, well...you should have. So let me know. It will be easier to fix now rather than later.

And now back to The Dark Tide. Adrien and Jake are o...

Dangerous Ground 2: Old Poison

So...I sort of lost track somewhere along the line and I was thinking this was releasing next week. But...wrong. It released a couple of minutes ago from Loose Id. This is the one about the two DSS agents (which always sounds like the start of a bar joke). Sort of my homage to a certain British crime show of the late seventies. There's something about buddy shows and popcorn that is very dear to my unsophisticated heart.

Anyway...da da!

Special Agents for the Department of Diplomatic...
