Evolutionist Sees AiG as a Threat
A writer for the journal Nature recently wrote an item that accused an AiG writer of misrepresenting a paper in Nature. When I read it, I asked AiG researcher Steve Golden to help me write a blog post about it. I believe this situation in academia shows clearly that many ardent evolutionists just don’t want people to know if another secularist disagrees with what they are saying. In fact, we’ve found that many evolutionists get upset when creationists use their own arguments against them—and then they claim we misrepresented what they said. See for yourself as you read this item that Steve Golden and I have written.
The “Creationist Threat”
Looks like we’ve struck a nerve with the evolutionists! In the April 5 issue of Nature it was announced that China is the home to a fossil of an alleged “feathered” dinosaur. Dr. Elizabeth Mitchell, an AiG writer, offered a response to this article in our weekly web publication, News to Note.
In her response, Dr. Mitchell pointed out that, “Despite the tendency of the media and many evolutionists to continually refer to the existence of feathered dinosaurs as an established fact, not all evolutionists agree with that claim.” Dr. Mitchell goes on to make the point that “calling a genuinely feathered fossil a dinosaur does not make that creature a dinosaur,” and that the same is true of what may look like fossilized feather structures.
It looks like a writer with Nature saw AiG’s stand on the supposed feathered dinosaur, and he decided to give a response of his own titled “Reach out to defend evolution.” Russell Garwood, a paleontologist at the University of Manchester in the UK, claimed that there is “widespread agreement” that dinosaurs evolved from birds, with the exception of a few skeptical scientists. Furthermore, he wrote that Answers in Genesis “exploited this disagreement.”
What seems to be the problem here, however, is not that Dr. Mitchell “exploited” any disagreement with evolutionary ideas—she simply pointed out that there is disagreement. Rather, it seems that the problem is that she mentioned any disagreement at all. Indeed, Garwood treated the feathered dinosaur belief as though it is settled. “[AiG] had presented an exciting discovery and a genuine scientific debate (albeit one that has almost run its course) as evidence against evolution, rather than as attempts to refine knowledge in this interesting area.”
Garwood continued, claiming that Dr. Mitchell “misrepresented the Nature paper and disagreement about the equivalence of dinosaur feathers and bird feathers.” Yet Dr. Mitchell quoted the findings directly from the paper. She also directly quoted Alan Feduccia, a paleontologist at the University of North Carolina, who disagrees with the feathered dinosaur idea, saying it is based on “unsound and misleading information.”
Garwood addressed some other arguments against evolution in his column and finally closed his response by saying, “Ignoring the creationist threat will not make it go away. As scientists, we owe it to the schoolchildren of Tennessee and elsewhere to find another way to beat it.”
The question that always comes to mind when we read statements like that from evolutionists is this. If you believe creationism is false and evolutionary ideas are correct, then creationism isn’t a threat, so why treat it like it is?
It’s amazing to us that so many evolutionists downplay the disagreement among their own peers on ideas like dinosaurs evolving into birds, as though there is no doubt about the truth of these claims. Of course, we know from Genesis 1:21 that God created “every winged bird according to its kind.” God’s Word is our authority. Viewing this discovery through the lens of Scripture means we see that dinosaurs could not have evolved into birds. It also means that fossils like the one described in Nature require a non-evolutionary explanation. In fact, all the evidence we find in paleontology, archaeology, and other areas of science only serves to confirm the Bible’s account of Creation, the Flood, and rest of history.
Dr. Mitchell has written an article responding to Garwood’s claims. You can read it on the Answers in Genesis website.
Transit of Venus Today!
The transit of planet Venus—when Venus crosses between the sun and Earth—begins around 3:00pm Pacific time and will last for a few hours. This is a rare but exciting event—it won’t happen again until 2117! I encourage you to watch it.
An important reminder: You must wear solar glasses or use a telescope with solar filters to view the transit. (For safety information, read this article.)
If you don’t have access to solar glasses or a telescope with solar filters, you can watch the transit on a live NASA webcast.

Special Great Speaker Added to Our Branson Conference
I am pleased to announce that Dr. Voddie Baucham, pastor of Grace Family Baptist Church in Spring, Texas, will be joining me for our national conference in Branson, Missouri, next month. He will be one of the keynoters for AiG’s “Proclaiming the Faith” family conference! Voddie was one of our favorite speakers with us two years ago at our family conference in Sevierville, Tennessee, which drew over 2,500 people.
The following quote from Grace Family Baptist website describes Dr. Baucham’s unique style of teaching:
Voddie makes the Bible clear and demonstrates the relevance of God’s word to everyday life. However, he does so without compromising the centrality of Christ and the gospel. Those who hear him preach find themselves both challenged and encouraged.Voddie’s area of emphasis is Cultural Apologetics. Whether teaching on classical apologetic issues like the validity and historicity of the Bible, or the resurrection of Christ; or teaching on biblical manhood/womanhood, marriage and family, he helps ordinary people understand the significance of thinking and living biblically in every area of life.
Joining Dr. Baucham and me will be Todd Friel from Wretched Radio, Mark Spence of Ray Comfort’s School of Biblical Evangelism (Ray appeared with me Thursday evening on TBN TV to defend the historicity of Genesis), and your favorite AiG speakers.
This is a summer experience you don’t want to miss! Bring your whole family for a week of fun in a spot that is well known for great family activities. You’ll receive some wonderful Bible teaching and a challenge to proclaim your faith with boldness.
Register online today at www.proclaimingthefaith.org, and I will see you there!
Thousands Reached in California
Yesterday I spoke to a few thousand people in Downey, California, near Los Angeles. Here is a photograph taken at one of the services.
Today I am speaking at two school assemblies, then the final night of the conference will begin at 6:00 PM. For details, go to the events page.
Thanks for stopping by and thanks for praying,

Over 6,000 and Rising
As we are publishing this blog post, the number of video plays of what ended up being a two-hour TV debate with Hugh Ross on TBN was over 6,000—and rising! I have received comments from people all over the world who have watched this debate, which took place Thursday evening in California. Hundreds of people commented on my Facebook page. If you haven’t seen this debate, then I urge you to do so—and also urge you to get your pastors to watch it. It’s really the first time I have ever been able to engage Hugh Ross the way I did and so openly. How this interview program turned out was totally unplanned. The Lord just orchestrated this in a way we never envisioned, and I think the passion I have for biblical authority certainly came through. Go to this link to watch.
Museum Tickets Good for Two Days
In an effort to provide what I would describe as “enhanced value” for families wanting to come at the Creation Museum, we are letting people know that a ticket purchased for admittance to the museum is now good for two consecutive days!
Over the past five years we’ve added several exciting exhibits and programs at the Creation Museum, and we have heard from our ministry friends that there is just too much to do and experience in one day. We have listened to their feedback.
Also, as a way to further lower the cost to families who are contemplating a visit to the Creation Museum, a $5 discount is being offered on an adult ticket that is purchased for use on a Tuesday or Wednesday and used the next day. (That discount is only available when tickets are obtained at the museum itself, not through the web or on the phone; days of visiting the museum must be consecutive.)
There are other ways to save. For example, if you have a large family, be sure to talk to one of our Guest Services representatives about affordable membership options that can actually reduce the cost of your initial visit.
I hope you will visit the Creation Museum this summer, and please stay for two days!
Thanks for stopping by and thanks for praying,

The National Campaign Begins
Yesterday (June 1), AiG began a unique national campaign to publicize the Creation Museum.
Each year, our marketing agents (JDA—Joseph David Advertising) work with AiG to come up with a unique, powerful way to make people across the nation aware of the Creation Museum, located near Cincinnati. We do this because the more people who come to the Creation Museum, (1) the more Christians we can equip to defend the Christian faith, and (2) the more non-Christians we can challenge concerning the message of the gospel.
This year, JDA came up with a unique (and I consider to be brilliant) idea for a national billboard campaign. We have posted billboards in our local area before, and have utilized TV advertising and other means of placing ads for the Creation Museum. But beginning yesterday, billboards (with 20 different styles to choose from) are being put up all across the nation on major Interstates. We will even have some billboards in California.
I have included here just six of the 20 different billboards that JDA designed for us. We have never seen billboards like this before. They were designed using a comic book style that we believe will really cause people to want to look at them. We will also be encouraging people to sponsor billboards near their church or other spots in the locality where they live. And because the response from those who have seen these billboards has been so positive, we will also have some T-shirts and other items available at the museum’s Dragon Hall bookstore using some of the billboard illustrations. Here are six to give you an idea of what these are like:
If you are interested in sponsoring a billboard in your area, please contact us at www.answersingenesis.org/feedback, and we will put you in contact with our marketing agents at JDA.
And please pray that these billboards will be used to bring many people to the God-honoring and Bible-upholding Creation Museum. We will also be sending out press releases, as not only are these billboards unique, but this is a national campaign. Did you know that almost two thirds of Americans (190 million people) live within a day’s drive of the museum? And besides, even just having illustrations of dinosaurs associated with the Creation Museum is in itself sending a message to the public, so that even a person living in California who sees one of these billboards might go to the web to find out something about our ministry and the creation/gospel message, and we hope one day they will plan a trip to the Creation Museum (in fact, we have many visitors from California coming to the museum).
In California for an AiG Conference
This Sunday through Monday, Dr. Gary Parker and I are speaking at an AiG conference in Downey, California (we’re really not that far from Disneyland). For details, go to the event page.

KGB Visits the Museum—But Not Under Cover!
Football fans will recognize the initials of KGB, which represent the well-known defensive end Kabeer Gbaja-Biamila—who played for several years with the NFL’s Green Bay Packers in Wisconsin. He spent two days here with his wife and children at our Creation Museum this week. He made the Pro-Bowl in 2003, and he is the team’s all-time leader in “sacks” (i.e., tackling the other team’s quarterback), having even more sacks than the late Hall of Famer and Christian Reggie White. While he was known for being an outstanding football player, Kabeer is now known as a high-profile, strong Christian in his community. In 2004, he was best known for leading the entire National Football Conference in sacks, and today, there is a different reason Kabeer is so well known in his area.
You may wonder about his last name. His parents were Muslims and of Nigerian descent, although his mother later became a Christian. While a young player with the Packers, he met Gil Byrd, a former player on the San Diego Chargers, and Gil led Kabeer to the Lord.
As his family toured the museum over two days and heard me give talks in our museum’s Legacy Hall, Kabeer was asked: knowing that you grew up in the Los Angeles area and also went to school at San Diego State University, why did you end up staying in the colder climate of Wisconsin and not retire to sunny California? He told us that Green Bay was much more family friendly than LA or San Diego, and even with the cold winters in Wisconsin, he doesn’t miss southern California too much.
It’s encouraging to know that Kabeer is well-known in Wisconsin for his Christian witness (and also throughout his career in the NFL). This is certainly a KGB who is not “under cover!”
Find out more about him (including seeing his photo) at this link.
Georgia Pastor Visits
Another special visitor was here this past week. Pastor Bucky Kennedy of First Baptist Church of Vidalia, Georgia, spoke at our staff chapel on Wednesday, and I had the opportunity to spend some time with Pastor Kennedy and to show him our Ark design studio.
I met with Pastor Kennedy as I was preparing to leave for California for a TV interview and speaking engagements. For information about our meetings at Calvary Chapel church in Downey (near LA) on Sunday and Monday, go to the event page.
Hugh Ross and I Debate for Two Hours on TBN
Last night, a two-hour television program involving six guests in reality turned into mostly a two-hour debate between Dr. Hugh Ross and me. Frankly, I just couldn’t sit there and let God’s Word be compromised as was happening with Dr. Ross’s reinterpretation of Genesis in order to fit in the ideas of fallible scientists. Actually, there were three of us who stood on the authority of God’s Word and a straightforward reading of Genesis (Ray Comfort, Eric Hovind, and I) and three who believed in millions of years (Hugh Ross, Sean McDowell, and John Bloom).
You can watch the entire two hours online at this link.
For more on the topic of the age of the earth, read our book Old Earth Creation On Trial and this article on Dr. Ross’s belief in progressive creation.

Twisting and Distorting the Scriptures
Normally I would not respond to the kind of diatribe I read on anti-Christian websites like www.rightwingwatch.org. But I thought one recent piece found at that website could act as a good teaching lesson for Christians.
Last week, I spoke at the “Watchman on the Wall” conference (headed by Christian activist and ministry friend Tony Perkins) in Washington, DC. As just one part of my message, I dealt with the fact that Jesus in Matthew 19 defines marriage, by quoting from Genesis, as a male and a female—one man and one woman. Thus, anything else (e.g., “gay” marriage, etc.) that goes against this biblical teaching is wrong and therefore sin.
Well, an excerpt of the section where I discussed marriage (and referenced President Obama’s recent pronouncement about his endorsement of “gay” marriage) was put on the internet. It wasn’t long before secularists were linking to the video and spouting forth their usual hate speech against Christians who stand on God’s Word and define marriage the way God does!
On one such website we read:
As luck would have it, just last week I bought a copy of “The One Year Chronological Bible” and had begun reading through it in conjunction with my copy of The ESV Study Bible. Ham’s assertion that a literal interpretation was required in order to understand the true nature of biblical marriage was in the forefront of my mind as I began working my way through Genesis, especially once I realized how much polygamy and incest the book contained.
In fact, outside of Adam and Eve, and Noah and his wife, just about every major patriarch engaged in either polygamy or some form of incest, and often both.
According to Genesis 16, Abraham slept with and married his wife’s Sarah’s slave because Sarah was was unable to bear children. On top of that, according to Genesis 20, Sarah was also Abraham’s half-sister and he later took at least one more wife.
Abraham’s son Issac was married to Rebekah, who, according to Genesis 24, was the daughter of the son of Abraham’s brother, which would make Rebekah the daughter of Issac’s cousin, or Issac’s first cousin, once removed.
Rebekah then gave birth to Esau and Jacob. According to Genesis 26, Esau married two Hittite women and then later took a third wife while Jacob married the daughters of his mother’s brother, his first cousins, named Leah and Rachel. Rachel was unable to bear children and so gave Jacob her servant to sleep with and take as a wife, to which Leah responded by likewise giving Jacob her servant for a wife.
In addition to these arrangements, Genesis 38 tells the story of Judah sleeping with and impregnating his daughter-in-law while Genesis 19 tells the story of God’s destruction of Sodom and Gomorrah where only Lot and his two daughters were saved … after which Lot’s daughters got their father drunk and slept with him and became pregnant.
One of the arguments we hear most often from the Religious Right is that changing “the biblical definition of marriage” by allowing gay marriage will lead to things like polygamy and incest … which is odd considering that, according to the Book of Genesis, polygamy and incest were predominant forms of marriage.
Just a few comments about the above:
1. I find it interesting that the author attempts to make moral judgements about polygamy and “incest ” but without believing in an absolute authority for determining what is right and wrong. Of course, this is inconsistent. Now, the author may claim they are making such judgments using the Christians’ own basis: the Bible. But by doing so, they are distorting the truth and misquoting the Scriptures—showing their gross ignorance of the Bible (or deliberate attempts at deception).
2. The word “incest” is a modern, invented word. Now there are a lot of issues that today we include under the term “incest” but some would only be included since the time of Moses. For instance, it wasn’t until Moses (as we read in Leviticus) that God said no longer should close relatives marry. When a man and a woman marry today, did you know they were related before they were married, as all people are descendants of the same one man and one woman? As long as marriage is one man for one woman, originally there was no problem with close relations marrying. But because of the mistakes that have accumulated in our genes over time, if close relatives married today, it would be a problem—and God changed the rules (because sin changes things, like genes) in regard to marriage at the time of Moses. You can read more about this topic on our website.
3. Yes, the Bible does record events of polygamy—and adultery—and many other sins. But the Scriptures plainly teach that marriage is between one man and one woman (e.g., Matthew 19). However, one of the hallmarks of the Bible’s authenticity is that it does not hide the failures of people who were even great men and women of God yet lapsed on occasion. David’s adultery is recorded for everyone to read about—and to see the devastating consequences. On the basis of the logic used in the article quote above, then the Bible is endorsing adultery! This of course is nonsense. Also, the negative consequences of polygamous relationships are obvious from the text in Scripture (including all sorts of family issues like jealousy). The point is that anything other than God’s created order for marriage (male and female) is a sin against the holy God of the Bible—whether that sin be polygamy, adultery, fornication, or homosexual behavior. Yes, Lot’s daughters obviously did what was recorded, but it was sin—the Bible is not endorsing such willfully rebellious behavior. For more information on polygamy and the Bible, read this AiG article.
4. The article states, “One of the arguments we hear most often from the Religious Right is that changing ‘the biblical definition of marriage’ by allowing gay marriage will lead to things like polygamy and incest … which is odd considering that, according to the Book of Genesis, polygamy and incest were predominant forms of marriage.” But, it has nothing to do with “changing the biblical definition of marriage.” The point is without an absolute authority, there is really no such thing as marriage, and thus one could define any relationship as marriage—it would all be totally subjective. Only on the basis of the absolute authority of the Word of God can one have a definition of marriage that must be adhered to—and the biblical definition is one man for one woman for life, according to Genesis.
I had to smile when I read another blogger who quoted the item on the Right Wing Watch website and then stated, “As I’ve said before, whenever a ‘godly Christian’ is making pronouncements, the safest course of action is to assume that they are lying. Rarely will such not be the case.”
So who then determines what “lying” is? Who decides there is an absolute standard of truth? Of course, such inconsistencies abound because ultimately, the secularists have to borrow from he Christian worldview to claim an absolute moral standard in their inconsistent attempts to judge matters!

Influence Science Education Standards—Participate by Friday!
Next Generation Science Standards is a project to develop K–12 science education standards for the next generation of U.S. students. The NGSS has posted a draft of the proposed standards online—and they’re asking for public’s input!
Now is your opportunity to potentially influence public school science standards in America. Dr. Elizabeth Mitchell of AiG has written about this project twice already. You can read a more complete description of the science standards on our website.
While we at AiG don’t advocate the mandating of the teaching of creationism in public schools, we do believe that students should have the opportunity to think critically about science, particularly non-repeatable historical science (e.g., evolutionary ideas). The draft of the standards does not allow for critical thought regarding the assumptions that evolutionary ideas are based upon—students will be taught these beliefs as though they are fact!
I urge you to make your voice heard and participate in the survey by Friday, June 1! You can access the survey at this link. Click the link in the center of the page to access the draft standards. Read through the standards and when you’re ready to register for and take the survey, click “Go to the NGSS Survey/PDF” on the left-hand side of the screen.
I have been given some tips about taking the survey: 1. You will need to register with a valid email address and create a password. 2. Tell the system you are not registered for a survey; it will direct you to the “Public Survey.” 3. You can flip back and forth between tabs to evaluate the search features and the standards themselves as you take the survey.
You will be given the opportunity to provide open feedback on the search features (near the beginning of the survey) and on the standards in general (near the end of the survey). I encourage you to give your thoughts on the draft standards.
Thanks for stopping by and thanks for praying,
Ken

Most Exciting Adventure
Recently, AiG board member Dan Wooster took his two sons on a Grand Canyon raft trip down the Colorado River in northern Arizona. AiG works closely with our good friend Tom Vail of Canyon Ministries so that AiG supporters and others can experience the Grand Canyon’s formation from a creationist perspective. On this recent trip, AiG staff member and astronomer Dr. Danny Faulkner provided creationist teaching as part of the experience.
I thought you would like to read Dan’s blog post about this exciting trip, and I hope that you plan to go on one of the future trips. There are only about three spaces left on the remaining AiG raft for this year. (Go to the raft trip event page for details.)
Here is Dan’s blog post about his trip:
Here’s a brief summary of one of the most exciting adventure trips I have ever been on. A four day Grand Canyon tour with Tom Vail of Canyon Ministries down the Colorado River with my amazing sons, Jonathan and Joseph!
We just got back to “civilization”, which for me means text messages, emails, and voice mails. 219 emails, 10 texts, 5 voice mails. So I am capturing my impression of the trip on the 2.5 hour bus ride back to Vegas. Now there’s a culture contrast—Vegas after 4 days wandering thru the vast canyon wilderness.
The first thing that comes to mind which best summarizes this trip is “no pain, no gain“. While the rigors of survival without that aid of much modern technology is a bit of a pain, the overwhelming benefits of seeing with your own eyes the beauty that exists, though marred by the affects of the Curse, are great gain!
Here is a list, only in the order they occurred to me, of my immediate take always from the trip. …
The supposed benefits of no Internet access are grossly overrated! Every time our tour guide, Tom Vail, shared information about the canyon, I instinctively wanted to do some googling or see where we were on google earth or share a photo with my wonderful wife.
Seeing the canyon from the rim or the air is nothing compared to the view from the river. No other experience can provide such spectacular views. No digital capture devices can begin to provide the sensory input that being there provides. The colors and layering provide one with a better understanding of the tremendous power of lots and lots of water!
As a Believer, there is no better way to tour the canyon than with someone like Tom who interprets the data from a strong biblical worldview with a solid young earth position. Tom’s 30+ years as a grand canyon tour guide, half of them before he put his faith in Christ, enable him to explain to a Believer not only a biblical model of the affects of the Flood, but helps one understand the fallacies in the evolutionary model of canyon formation.
While a 3-day river trip through the wilderness has its many physical challenges, Tom and the crew know just what to bring along and how to make the tourist’s stay as physically pleasant as possible while upholding a strong commitment to leaving this awesome national park in as close to the same condition as humanly possible.
There was a warm fellowship among the 28 members of the tour as the vast majority of us were drawn to this trip thru the ministry of Answers in Genesis.I highly recommend this trip. Parents, take your children as part of their education and faith building. It’s as good an investment in their hearts and minds as a Christian education! In closing I summarizes the highlights of this faith building adventure.
plane ride from Vegas to The Bar 10 Ranch located about 5 miles from the river, providing spectacular views of the canyon
a day and night at one of the most uniquely positioned ranches in all of America
horseback ride
ATV ride to the edge of the canyon crossing ancient, post flood, lava flows
a western steak dinner from grass fed Red Devon cattle imported from New Zealand
3 days rafting the river with dozens of side trips to spectacular water falls, unique rock formations, and even a Sunday morning natural cathedral for a place of Christian worship
nightly talks and star gazing with professor, astronomer and author, Dr Danny Faulkner, one of only 4 phd astronomers [to our knowledge] which hold to a strong young earth biblical model of the universe
a speed boat ride down the last 50 miles of the trip
nice air conditioned bus ride with modern “high tech” toilet facilities, much appreciated after 3 days of roughing itFinal words—just do it with Tom Vail of Canyon Ministries!
I encourage you to go to the link for Dan’s blog and view the photographs. But beware—this will make you want to go on a future Grand Canyon raft trip!

A “High Five” Weekend
This past Memorial Day weekend was the fifth anniversary of the opening of the Creation Museum. We praise the Lord for this milestone. We were thrilled to see record crowds at the museum for this weekend. From Friday through Monday, over 5,000 visitors came. We also opened the new Lucy exhibit this past Saturday, and it has been a real hit.
It really was a “High Five” weekend.
The Creation Museum celebrated its fifth anniversary.
We were thrilled to host a concert by the popular Legacy Five, a Southern Gospel group, on this past Saturday evening. What a thrilling concert that was. People afterward pleaded with me to host more such events and to have Legacy Five back again soon.
Think about this—Legacy Five has that name because they are carrying on the legacy of the famous Cathedrals group. Legacy Five performed in AiG’s Legacy Hall (so named because we want to use this 1,000-seat, multipurpose auditorium to leave a legacy concerning the truth of God’s Word and the gospel). And Legacy Five performed on the weekend of the Creation Museum’s fifth anniversary! So yes, it really was a “High Five” weekend!
Here is a photo of the Legacy Five group:
Here are photos taken as they performed on Saturday evening at the Creation Museum:
Everyone loved their singing and their humor! It was a worshipful and entertaining evening. And what an encouragement it is to us at AiG that such a prominent, award-winning group loves the Creation Museum and the biblical authority message! They want to do more programs here.
You can find out more at the Legacy Five website.
Also, the Legacy Five baritone, Scott Howard, and his family came to visit the museum on the Friday before the Saturday concert, and they loved the Creation Museum! Here is a photograph of Scott with his family:

Lucy a Real Hit
We are receiving rave reviews about the new Lucy exhibit at the Creation Museum. Here are some photographs of the exhibit and of people enthralled with what AiG’s talented artists, fabricators, sculptors, and researchers did in producing an exhibit equal to or better in quality and professionalism with anything anywhere in the world. People are amazed at the holographic images, which really help to clearly illustrate that this was a creature in the Ape family (of which humans are not a member).
Lucy Is “Preaching”
Lucy is now “preaching” every day at the Creation Museum. The signage explains that the bones of this creature, used by evolutionists for so long now as evidence of man’s evolutionary ancestry, show this creature had nothing to do with any such supposed evolutionary past.
I’ve seen secularists condemning the exhibit in their blogs and in chat rooms. In fact, some have really gone ballistic over what we have done with Lucy at the Creation Museum. And they haven’t even visited and read the signs! I’ve seen emotional secular blogs blasting the exhibit and what it teaches, but we do something that I don’t usually see at secular museums. We actually include the documentation of articles written about Lucy with the signs—and the articles documented are from secular sources! The secularists just hate the fact that we are able to produce an exhibit of such quality and that we are able to tell the truth about Lucy and help put a stop to the evolutionary indoctrination going on in the world.
You can read our news release sent out to media that is also the lead article on the AiG website today.

The Photos Tell It All
This past week was our first ever Homeschool Science conference, held in Legacy Hall at the Creation Museum. We had families from as far away as Oregon, Florida, and Kansas. What a great time the parents and students were able to have with excellent teaching from our staff scientists and speakers, including Michael Smith from the Home School Legal Defense Association and Fred Coleman from Bob Jones University. Students were also able to participate in some great workshops, such as the Bob Jones University Robotics workshop and a Fossil Hunt with AiG’s Dr. Andrew Snelling. Here are some photos taken at some of the events:
We hope to continue and to improve the offerings for this type of conference in the future.
