Obama Delivers Subtle Blow Against Apple In Encryption Fight

First the venomous court filing from the Justice Department Thursday, then the comments of United States Attorney General Loretta Lynch on Colbert Thursday night, and today President Obama's comments against "absolutism" and "cell phone fetishism" in a talk at the South by Southwest conference.










GM Acquires Cruise For Over $1 Billion
The self-driving tech startup will shift its focus to building autonomous technology specifically for GM's vehicles.
General Motors revealed today that it is acquiring Cruise Automation, a Y Combinator-backed startup that specializes in self-driving car technology. According to Re/code, the deal cost GM more than $1 billion and will be finalized in the next few months.
