How To Break Open The Web

The Internet's designers and a new generation of hackers are unraveling the knots keeping the web from living up to its original promise.

One of us is writing this piece from an airplane over the Atlantic Ocean. The other is working from his home in California. Not long ago this would have sounded like science fiction. Today it's becoming routine in a world where we do more and more with amazing digital tools on far-flung networks.

5 Ways Brexit Might Not Happen

A full U.K. exit from the EU isn't inevitable.

Your Brain Is On Autopilot More Than You Think--Here's How To Wake It Up

It isn't that we're making bad decisions. More often, we aren't even aware there's a decision to make.

Wednesday. Hump Day. The part of the week when we're over the hill and begin sliding toward the weekend. If hitting midweek feels even a little bit better than slogging through Monday or Tuesday does, well, you're not alone. The U.S. Doesn't Crack The Top 10 Of The World's Best Countries For Social Progress

To rank higher on the Social Progress Index, we need to improve our "environmental quality," "health and wellness," and "personal safety" numbers.

Here's What I Saw In London In The Wake Of The Brexit Vote

Many in the city have been coming together to mourn, plan, and take back control of its future.
