Amor vincit insomnia…
…or something like that. I wish. One of my rare bad nights, so now I've got a headache and about 1 this afternoon I will hit a wall and become a zombie, which does not bode well for my lunch hour o' writing. And I spilled coffee on my (very) white shirt and Oxy-Clean only partially took it out, so I look like a slob on top of it. Good thing my office is in the back of the library where few people dare to tread; I may end up staying in here until 5 pm.

Men behaving badly
The boys are givin' me fits. I swear…
I'm having a really hard time focusing on Tristan's character. He's a slippery one: arrogant but not unkind, macho but vulnerable, physical and emotional. And really, really repressed. I'm trying to "show, not tell" but he's very, very good at hiding. And I'm afraid that when I show what he's thinking he comes off as too whiny. AND his relationship with Charles makes him seem entirely too "girly," which he definitely isn't.

What I'm reading…
If you know me, you know I don't read. I INHALE.
I don't have a TBR (To Be Read) pile like most people. I sometimes have a SBR (Should Be Read) pile of stuff I should read because it's been recommended, it's a classic, or someone gave it to me and I really ought to read it and decide if it's worth keeping. But my TBR piles are usually very short lived.
And of course, usually it's not a matter of "what I'm reading" so much as it is "what I've just finished." (sigh—books are an expensive...
