The Secret of Progress

A tree stands above the ground, fixing its roots firmly beneath the ground. It grows from beneath, upwards into the air; it does not start at the top and grow downwards. The tree is our teacher, imparting to us the lesson of nature that if we seek to progress outwardly, we must first strengthen ourselves inwardly; we must begin from the base of our own selves before we can hope to build society anew.

Follow your conscience

Going against your conscience is not easy. It is this behaviour that creates what is called tension or stress. If you want to live with a tension free mind, listen to the voice of your conscience and follow it without any reservation.

Sincerity

Sincere behaviour is the result of adherence to principles, while insincere behaviour shows a lack of principle.

Hit the conscience

Peaceful method hits the conscience of a man. And when the conscience is hit, the person concerned has no option but to surrender to you.

Patience costs nothing

Patience is a precious virtue; it costs nothing to acquire this virtue. It requires only the training of your mind; you have to train yourself to control your emotions.

Make yourself strong

When you are calm you can serenely face a challenge without allowing yourself to be provoked, making yourself strong enough to overcome all difficulties.

Be Beautiful

 Where there is sincerity, there are all kinds of moral beauty. In contrast, insincerity makes you ugly.

It will take time

Constructing a really solid foundation requires a long period of time; you cannot have such a foundation by just taking wild leaps.
