The Book of The Wounded Healers(a study in perception)Chapter 2 – First Meeting

You can read the backstory on The Book of the Wounded Healers in The Book of The Wounded Healers/(a study in perception)/Frame and Chapter 1 – The First Communication, and it may help understanding the story’s universe a bit. This chapter is…different. I’m not going to tell you any more, and I encourage you to … Continue reading "The Book of The Wounded Healers

Rabbits Love Fairport Convention

Rabbits. Wonderful creatures they. And music connoisseurs. Most people don’t know that. Percussion is there thing (remember Thumper? Prince with the Swift Warning?) and sometimes they broaden their scope to other instruments. Most often they tend to voice when they explore. Sometimes, if one listens carefully, one can hear them harmonize when they vocalize. Largely … Continue reading "Rabbits Love Fairport Convention"

The Book of The Wounded Healers(a study in perception)Frame and Chapter 1 – The First Communication

I finished Tag on Sunday, 1 May 2022, at 8:11:40PM (aren’t time-stamped files great?) and took a few weeks off to catch up on other things. The May Tag posts were already entered so I let them run their course (I put posts into my blog week’s ahead. Usually). I edited The Absolute Limit of … Continue reading "The Book of The Wounded Healers

Colder and Colder Nights

Recorded in early November 2021, our raccoons prepare for winter. I wanted to write something witty and frivolous at this point. Wasn’t happening. As I type this, it is late May 2022 and so much of our environment has changed. Not just locally but in the world. I watched Ricky Gervais‘ Supernature and Humanity Netflix … Continue reading "Colder and Colder Nights"

Great Opening Lines – and Why! (May 2022’s Great Opening Lines)

I wrote in Great Opening Lines – and Why! (Part 3 – Some Great Opening Lines) that I’d share more great opening lines as I found them. It’s been another eight months since I posted some great opening lines. I still read what some consider an amazing number of books each month, each cover to … Continue reading "Great Opening Lines – and Why! (May 2022’s Great Opening Lines)"

Spring Kits

We’re happy to report Hyacinth and her kits made it through another winter. They woke pretty much on schedule and came for their…umm…dinner? A bit late for breakfast or lunch. Unless they’re working 3rd shift. Which is possible. Raccoons are usually nocturnal. At least around here. Except when they’re preggers and/or nursing. Either one, they … Continue reading "Spring Kits"
