Enjoying Scotch and Cigars with @FireRenaissance, @FromGreenhills, and @GGGenge

It is warm today. Bright sunshine. Buds on the maples and elms. Crocus are pushing their little yellow and purple noses up through garden soils. Vernod Dines Alone

We are so blessed.

Almost every night and often during the day friends come to our table. In the backyard. On the ground. Makes after-dinner clean up so much easier.

I got P.D. Allevanated!

One of the joys of authoring is the ability to vernaculate at will.

For example, I am a Carrabinoid, a member of the Carrabises. When I do something, I Carrabinate it. Unless I did it in the past, in which case I carrabinated it.… Read the rest “I got P.D. Allevanated!”

Let me get the obvious out of the way; Bravo, Mr. Melia. Bravo!

Now repeat that half a dozen times to get it out of my system.

I completed my third read of Tales from the Greenhills less than fifteen minutes ago.… Read the rest “Terry Melia’s “Tales from the Greenhills””

New Year’s Turkeys (2020)

What do you do with a backyard of glorious birds?

You wish them well in the New Year.

It’s a human-decreed new year, not a natural one.

Then again, most human-decreed western cultural holidays for the past 2,000+ years have not followed nature’s timelines.… Read the rest
