Escape with me!

Let’s face it, reality kinda sucks lately. We get beaten down daily with bad and worse news. I try to watch as little as possible in very short bursts. That’s not to say I don’t care. I do, deeply. I’m just learning what I can and cannot affect change on.

When I write, I’m not striving to reinvent Yeats or Shakespeare or even Nora Roberts. I’d like to think that somewhere down my ancestral line there’s a seanchaidh (storyteller and lore keeper) or two, whose sole purpose in life was to entertain and make people laugh.

Embrace the Lace is getting great reviews with those descriptive words I long for:
“Highly entertaining”
“Laughed out loud”
“Enjoyable and fun”

That’s what I want more than anything, the reason I write – to make the reader escape for a while, laugh and take away a piece of happy for themselves. There is a wild joy in the absurd, and I intend to capture as much as I can in the written word for you.
