Saturday After Dary presents "A Wanted Man"

shadows of vampires and werewolves are zombies. Now, admittedly, zombies are not sexy, they aren't romantic, and they certainly aren't stuff dreams are made of (no matter what the film "Warm Bodies" would have you believe).
For me, zombie stories aren't about blood, gore and shock value. They are about human stories of survival, how to cope with such a cataclysmic change. So with that in mind, I envisioned such a world trying to exist in this bleak disease infested world and came up with Atticus and Kit's story.
The following takes place before the two officially meet.
++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++

The man stretched and looked up at the sky that was beginning to lighten up. Streaks of violet were mixing with bands of gold. Then he bent and took something from his backpack and then began to strip. And for the life of him, Atticus could not tear his eyes away.Off came the long-sleeve cotton shirt, revealing a much slimmer physique than Atticus had first thought the man possessed. Muscles were present, but they were streamlined and smooth on a body that either had no body hair or was so fine that the hair could hardly be seen. Next were the pants. The man wiggled his hips to shimmy them off, leaving him standing in a pair of body-hugging long johns that ended at his knees. Atticus figured the man wouldn’t take them off, but his jaw fell slightly when the man pulled them down as well.He stood gloriously nude, and Atticus felt his dick harden in his pants. The man’s cock was long and slender, curving elegantly upward instead of pointing out. He grabbed a rag and poured some water from a bottle onto it and gave himself a quick, old-fashioned bath. Atticus felt his mouth go dry as he watched the strip of material run down the man’s chest, caressing each dip and curve before tracing over a flat stomach and lean hips. When the man reached his cock and balls, he slowed down the impersonal wash. With his heart pounding, Atticus watched as the man cupped his balls with the cloth, squeezing them while he fisted his dick. Please! Do it!Atticus silently urged him on. Some vague, distant voice warned him that perhaps this wasn’t right, spying on the man like this, but Atticus didn’t listen. Right now he was following the direction of the little head that currently throbbed inside unforgiving denim. He unzipped his pants and slid his hand inside to palm himself, giving his shaft a little squeeze.+++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++
Blurb:
The world has changed. No one knows how the Z-disease happened, but no cure is available. Humanity is a forgotten concept and to survive the scavengers and roaming plague scouts, one must blend in or become invisible. And above all never trust anyone.
Atticus is a loner, avoiding human contact as much as possible. Until he discovers a young man on his own in the deserted wasteland and he can’t help but be curious. So he watches, content to admire from afar. But when bounty hunters come for the young man, he makes the choice to step in and save him.
Kit escaped the brutal confines of imprisonment just before he was to be sold into being a sex slave. But the slavers aren’t the only ones who want him. The underground scientists have finally found him, and they want him because he’s the only person born immune to the plague.
Kit might be wary of the handsome loner but he realizes Atticus might just be the person he needs to stay safe, if only he didn’t feel so attracted to the man.
A Wanted Man will be available soon through Siren! **Be sure to visit the others at Saturday After Dark http://theafterdarkworld.blogspot.com/

Writing through Writer’s Block

My novel Love Story for a Snow Princess was one I had shelved for a while because of those very reasons. The story went through a lot of revisions from when I first conceived it. I had an idea of a socialite deciding her life is meaningless when her best friend dies in her house from an overdose. She decides she needs to get away from her vices by becoming a mail order bride to someone in Alaska. But it just didn’t work so I shelved it. When another idea presented itself to me, I reworked my earlier writing and the story morphed into what is it today.
I’ve only had one book I had to work off deadline, and that was A Silver Lining, a Battle of the Sexes story published through Loose Id. I turned in my story synopsis and outline to my editor in July and I had to have it finished by November. Whenever I got stuck on something I would move away from the section I was trying to write and move on to another part. Since I didn’t have the option to sit back and wait for motivation, I found this method worked best for me. By having something to look forward to and connect with, I was able to manipulate my characters into getting from point A to point B a lot faster.
Some stories are easier to write than others. Such is the case for my first M/M romance-You Can Run. It was written in my mind when I moved from Baton Rouge, LA to Los Angeles, and when I sat down to my computer I wrote it in two weeks! Through my entire journey across Interstate 40, I saw Big Rig trucks traveling up and down the road. At night I would see them lined up in a row, bunked down for the driver to rest at truck stops. I started imagining one of my heroes, Kyle, a young kid with a secret who needed to get out of town. I pictured how the driver of a truck, Del, would react to having such a guest. I must have taken a thousand pictures of trucks and the countryside!
Sometimes there are stories that a writer must let go of for various reasons. For me, it usually stems from the characters completely taking over and leading me away from the vision I had of the story. When that happens I have to rethink the entire plot.
If all else fails and writer’s block has its tight tentacles in you, then taking a break might be just what is needed. Drink some wine or relax in a hot bath, read a steamy romance or watch a great flick. And then when you sit back down to pound the keys, hopefully writer’s block will be a thing of the past.

Saturday After Dark presents "Spirals"

After I’d published my first book, Black Leather Pants, I wanted to test my writing ability so I began writing a book from first person POV. At the time, I was going to school to become a surgical technician and each day I had to drive to and from the San Fernando Valley. I would pass by these amazing homes which made me wonder what they looked like inside. From there, I speculated that the only chance I would have is if there was some sort of cataclysmic event, which of course, led to my novel, Spirals.

Below is what I envisioned Kaori would do as a girl growing up in a world without people. It was an interesting concept, to say the least. Enjoy!+++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++
I open the closet and move the clothes around to uncover my plastic boyfriend, William. Silly, I know, but in school, way back when, I had a major crush on this guy named William, and when I found this mannequin, I decided to immortalize my feelings. He’s been very faithful, very supportive, there when I needed him, and best of all, I wouldn’t have to worry about him if something were to happen to me. William will live on, I imagine, until time erodes his hard plastic flesh.
I smile the smile of a Cheshire cat as I prop him up and start taking off his clothes. The music playing is the perfect accompaniment to my striptease. I push the button-down shirt off his shoulders, admiring the pecs that are revealed. My breathing hitches a bit as my heart speeds up. It’s been a while since I visited William. I unbuckle the belt and slowly roll down the zipper, reaching around to slide my fingers over his butt as I push the trousers off him. My belly feels the dildo I long ago affixed to William, and the contact starts juices between my thighs. I am getting excited and wonder how long I will last playing with my doll.When William is naked, I lay him down, the red dildo sticking straight up as if as proud and excited as I am with him. I take a few steps back, and the music changes to another Beyoncé song, “Single Ladies.” I start to shimmy as I remember the old video. I don’t know the moves, of course, but I dance with freedom, shaking and swishing my hips as I run my hands over them, between my legs to tease myself, and then up to cup my breasts through the sheer top. My nipples are hard already, so I tweak them to bring forth that need deep in my pussy. I’ve often wondered what it would feel like to have a real man replace my hands with his own, to have that need fed with his lips and tongue while he pinched and rolled my nipples. Would it be just as delicious as it is now? I rub my breasts with one hand while the other travels down between my thighs, my finger finding my clit and rubbing lightly through the rough material. Not enough to actually get my rocks off, but enough to make me wet with anticipation. Masturbation is fine, but since I found the red dildo and attached it to William, my fingers are no longer enough.+++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++
BLURB:Kaori Carnelian was only sixteen when Los Angeles was hit by an earthquake that devastated it. With the world trying to recover from a plague that has wiped out half of the population, she learns how to survive by her wits and a great ability to hide, scavenging through what is left of LA.
Years later, she is found by Sergeants Tobias Noble and Orion West who have been sent to find any survivors before another earthquake destroys everything. They find her pleasuring herself and instantly both want her. Her world spirals out of control in a very delicious way. But when the men have to go find two others in their regiment that are missing, Kaori has to decide if her love outweighs her instinct for surviving.

Movie Review "My Brother's War" - (LGBT)

-Synopsis from IMDB (Written by writer, director & actress Whitney Hamilton)
++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++
What drew me to this movie was the idea of a female fighting in the War Between the States. I've read several documented cases, but I've never seen such a movie. And then I found out that it was listed in the LGBT section, so I knew I had to watch it.
There are mostly bad things to say about this movie: bad editing, bad directing, bad filming. The first twenty minutes of the film left me confused and wanting to stop watching. The story lines were choppy and all over the place and I was really confused what was going on. But something had me continuing on and so once I got to Grace's father dying, then the story became a little slower, more linear, and therefore, more bearable.
Really, why I kept watching was that I began to find Grace's metamorphosis into Henry fascinating. Her brother has agreed to become a spy, so he hides his Confederate uniform. Grace doesn't know about this so when she finds it, she dons it, cuts her hair, and takes off after him to find him and make sure he doesn't get killed. As she wanders through the hills of Virginia, she stumbles into one battle after another. And when she meets Virginia, she clicks into being Henry.
What's also interesting about this story is the underlining arc of her brother's, the real Henry's, spying because the man sent to catch the spy is none other than Grace's ex-fiance. There are several twists throughout that begin to cohere into an interesting ending because at the heart of it all is the relationship that develops between the two women. Virginia had a plot of land that the Union confiscated. She hid her son in a trunk in the house while she went to go to the commander, but he ordered her house burned to the ground...which her son was still inside. That was heartbreaking. Even when she discovers that Henry is a woman, the bond between the two just gets stronger. The chemistry between them is palpable although they never do anything more than share one kiss.
So, while this movie had a horrible beginning, a rusty middle and a squeaking end, I was taken with the journey Henry(Grace) went on. Would I recommend this film? No. Not unless you understand that it was a bad film with an interesting story.
**But let me point out, if you know anything of Civil War Battles, then don't be surprised this film gets it wrong too. Ms. Hamilton used reenactors to get her war scenes and let's just say they're not the best historians. That being said, I thought the women's clothing was pretty accurate.

Saturday After Dark - Sleeping Beauty

own sci-fi version of the story...plus adding in a menage! At first I was going to call it "Cold Beauty" because I worried that some might judge it because of Ann Rice's stories (The Claiming of Sleeping Beauty) but mine was completely different from hers, so I went with the title.
++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++
As he continued his downward path, he bypassed the apex of her thighs, where he could smell her musk beckoning him. God, he wanted nothing more than to sink his steel-hard cock into her wet cunt and pump her until they both splintered apart. But whatever sanity he had left raised a red flag. He couldn’t take her virginity here, in some dump heap station and he definitely couldn’t take her without Noah beside him. They were partners, in every sense of the word. And although he knew Noah had feelings for Alivia, they hadn’t gotten around to talking about the items they’d agreed to when they decided to become lovers. One of those hard limits had been no other sexual partners.

Why Write Erotica Romance?
(I've posted this before. But every once in awhile I like to repost)
I’ve had it all. The raised eyebrows, the nose in the air, the disdain very present in the eyes. Even the rolled eyes. Everything that screams disapproval. All because I say I write erotica romance. People can’t seem to get past the ‘erotica’ part of that statement and focus on the part that I’m published. I write stories that are turned into professionally edited manuscripts with wonderful cover art, ISBN’d, copywritten, and marketed. I work very hard to create characters that are real, flawed, and redeemed through love, all in the space of at minimum twenty thousand words. My largest body of work so far has been about 157,000 words, which is 642 pages and represents two years of my time.
And that book will probably never see the light of day.
Now, for anyone who has sat down to write down a story, carried it through days, weeks or even years to fulfillment, submitted to many (dozens) of publishing houses, received many (dozens) of rejections, revised under advice, changed or deleted characters or dialogue you love, resubmitted, to finally get one person who will give your work a chance…then lets talk. Writing is a very solitary life because when submerged in my worlds I live in my imagination. I hear the voices of my characters. I dream the scenarios of their lives.
And I do all of this working, being a full time mother to a very active little boy, take care of a household and maintain relationships with friends. I sacrifice sleep, personal time and normal stuff that most people do (don’t ask me who Honey Boo Boo is…no clue).
But I can’t NOT write. I might explode if I’m not at my laptop trying to find a synonym for the words ‘gazed into his eyes’. And why erotica romance? Because I’m good at writing it. The sex is graphic because the love is intense. My stories are not about people who court each other, go to church on Sunday, and sleep in separate beds. My stories are about people with problems…about an ex-soldier fighting PTSD, a woman who was raped at fifteen, a man who was inappropriately touched as a child, a woman who has survived alone in a wasteland for years, two male lovers in an age when having feelings for each other could lead to their deaths. These characters are raw. Their emotions are encased in ice. These people are helpless, hopeless…until love finds them. So sex between these people and their partners isn’t going to have ephuanisms like ‘manhood’ and ‘joined together in bliss’.
What I write isn’t for everyone. I know that. Everyone has different tastes and opinions. There are people out there who think the word ‘cock’ is vulgar. Really, I get it. But I am a writer. I am a published author. And I don’t deserve the eye roll. None of us who write erotica romance do. To my fellow sister and brother writers, I say give me more. Give me more sex. Give me more erotica.
Give me more.

And that book will probably never see the light of day.

Saturday After Dark - Otherworldly (Rated Naughty)

Since Halloween is approaching, I decided to go with a passage from my novel “Otherworldly”.
++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++
She lay half draped over his waist, which allowed his one good hand to run down her back. She’d worn a tank top and tiny, frilly panties to sleep in. His fingers were just able to stroke the soft skin where her ass cheeks played peek-a-boo with the elastic, and her body shivered against him, and it wasn’t because she was cold. Knowing she was awake and knowing he had the power to make her shiver sent his libido into overdrive. Heat flooded through him, causing his dick to spring to life. He wanted her. Holy Christ, he wanted her. Would there ever be a time when he didn’t want her?

Otherworldly (McKnight, Perth & Daire 1) Blurb:
Charlotte Perth is all about sass because her job reminds her all too well the limits of human life. She’s clairvoyant but her gift is unique. She can only summon murdered souls and interprets the visions they send her. When she’s hired by a wealthy woman to determine the fate of her great nephew, little does Charlotte realize this is one ghost that refuses to cross over.
Detective Jonas Daire feels Charlotte is a fake, out to swindle money from his rich aunt. When Charlotte proclaims the nephew is not only dead but has been murdered, Jonas feels especially disgusted at Charlotte’s “profession”. But when his cousin’s body is discovered in the place that she said it would be, with detailed accounts of how he died, he places her under suspicion.
Jonas and Charlotte work together to find the killer. As the two grow closer together, another malevolent force won’t stop until the truth is buried…until Charlotte’s ghostly visions are her own.

He lifted his hips to help her pull his pants down far enough to free his shaft. Juliet stared at him in wonder as his thick cock proudly stood at attention, bobbing as if demanding attention. She reached for it, rubbing the bulging vein that disappeared under the mushroom head where a drop of white fluid dripped from the hole.“Can I lick you?” she breathed, sounding excited by the prospect.“Fuck yeah,” he panted back. He so wanted her mouth on him, the fantasy playing through his head was driving him bat shit crazy.Juliet licked her lips and then bent down to lick the cock tip, one long, slow slide of her tongue from under the base to the slit. Her warm little tongue dipped into the hole, as if seeking more moisture, and Dicen had to bite back his moan. He reached for Juliet’s head and weaved his fingers into her hair.“Suck me, baby,” he whispered, guiding her mouth further over him.Juliet happily complied, slipping her mouth around the large head, tracing each curve with her tongue. She nipped at the tender skin, causing him to tense up.“Watch your teeth, baby.”He felt her grin around his cock and suddenly wondered what all those women from the studio had told her to do. She eased her mouth over then down, going slowly. One of Juliet’s hands rested at the base of his cock, holding it like a lollipop. Almost lovingly, Juliet began the blowjob with short, shallow thrusts. +++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++
