Happy Day
Today is library day! It always makes me feel like singing. A weekly trip to that temple of goodness and literacy is a fantastic way to bond with the children and also get a little reading time in. I am happy-dancing in my chair just thinking about it. I wrote a piece on how writers […]

Nursery Junkie
I told my writing partner I was heading out to celebrate finishing a round of copyedits. Heading to a local garden store to fill in a few holes. Her reply? “Nursery junkie.” This was the picture I sent back. Guilty as charged, ma’am. Guilty as charged.

Relaxation Can’t Hurt
I expected an apocalypse yesterday, and it didn’t happen. Bother. Suppose I should get back to work, then. I am told that Trailer Park Fae is having a good initial showing! Thank you very much. The better it does, the more likely I’ll be able to continue the series. (Hint hint. Nudge nudge. Say no […]

Scramble, Scurry
Yes, that unscheduled break to get a hard drive that wouldn’t crater into my beloved desktop certainly has buggered all sorts of things sideways. I can’t see catching up and have had to put in schedule requests. I HATE doing that. The only thing I loathe more is…hmmm. Maybe paperwork. We all know how I […]

American Malls
Where you cannot find bookstores, but you can buy an electric car. I walked halfway past before realising what it was–a Tesla store. “There’s cars in there!” I murmured, stopping dead. There was also a Victoria’s Secret, but those are everywhere. America is strange.

Mall Adventure!
I was in a mall yesterday. It went about as well as one would expect. Apparently my beloved desktop is one of the few that had bad hard drives installed, and Apple, genius and benevolent overlords that they are, sent me an email warning me and offering a new, free, non-risky hard drive. So I […]

What I Do Instead
Sundays are generally for my long runs. I have a number of routes to choose from including a couple loops that take me through the parking lot of a church. Generally I don’t see a single soul as I lope between cars, hearing the music from my headphones and keeping myself at an even pace […]

Maybe
There is only one possible image I can post today. Image from Hyperbole and a Half. Because maybe everything isn’t. Love wins.

Later Morning
Summer always means I have a couple weeks of adjustment, where I get up later in the morning because I don’t have to get the kids to school, and find out (again and again) that it makes for more grueling heat on my runs. Especially since I’m training for longer distances now. Miss B is […]

TRAILER PARK FAE Release!
I didn’t really sleep last night. Release day nerves always get to me, no matter how many books I have out. SO, this wavering, tired morning, I present to you… …Trailer Park Fae. Jeremy Gallow is just another construction worker, and that’s the way he likes it. He’s left his past behind, but some things […]
