10th Anniversary Edition of Ritual of Blood, and more.
Things have been going slow over the past few months, but at least there has been some progress, and I'm now in a position to let you know about them.
First, next year will be the tenth anniversary of the release of Ritual of Blood. I can't believe the time has flown so quickly. To celebrate I am going to publish a new edition of Ritual of Blood sometime in 2013, most likely in the autumn under the Dark Crucible Publishing banner.
But if you can't wait that long, within the next few months, fingers crossed, there will be new editions published of Falling Star and The Witch of Primrose Hill. All that is needed right now is for the cover art of both books to be sorted out, and they will be on their way to the hands of my readers.
I do have a lot of work still to do as a number of projects are in various stages of completion. Killing Time is still being worked on, and will be the next new release from Dark Crucible Publishing, hopefully before the Ritual of Blood anniversary.
Keep on the look out for more news, coming your way soon.

I'm back!!!
Having spent the past year trying to recover from illness, though I'm still not and never will be 100%, I'm now in a position to get back to writing.
I'm going to be using this year to sort things out that I've left hanging since I've been away, and to produce some new stuff for everyone.
There's going to be new editions of my novels and new works being created over this time, and I'm looking forward to 2013 and the 10th anniversery of the publication of my vampire novel, Ritual of Blood.
I'd like to thank all the fans who have stuck by me over this difficult time, and I hope to gain new fans as I branch out with new works and into new genres.
See you all soon :)

Falling Star and Half Price Halloween
Falling Star has been out now for nearly three months, and in that time it has received some good honest reviews:
Review by Julie Mullin
Review on Bookbabblers.co.uk
Review by Pamela Gold
I am pleased with the reception it has had, especially with the strong dark themes that are in the story such as self-harm and domestic abuse. I surprised myself as I was writing the novel how dark the plot was becoming, but Star's story needed to be told. Some characters can just grab you as an author, and Star really did that to me more than any other character I've created. I'm also glad she has grabbed some of my readers in the same way too.
So, with Halloween just around the corner, I've decided to do something special and start celebrating it two weeks early, with an event I'm calling, Half Price Halloween. Between now and 11.59pm on the 31st October, Falling Star will be available from Lulu.com for £4.00 instead of the usual £7.99.
Falling Star (Half Price Halloween)
I hope that this will give more people a chance to immerse themselves in Katie and Star's friendship, and the story that unfolds around them.
I've got a few new things coming up, and as soon as everything is in place, I'll let you all know.
Until then, have a great Halloween.

Releasing Books into the Big Wide World.
After months of work writing, editing and re-writing, finally Falling Star has been sent into the big wide world on the hunt for her audience. This has been a differnet kind of venture than my previous novels, and one that has set me on the road to the future.
I've said it before, and I'm going to say it again here, but I write books because I don't think I feel happy doing anything else. For me, the act of creating a world, inhabiting it with characters, and setting them on their way...

A Conversation with... Gary William Murning - Part 3
GWM: Yes -- I think structure is, on the whole, extremely important. I'm a morning writer. I usually start about 9 AM, fresh out of the bathroom and mind still uncluttered by the day ahead. I like to write 1000 words every day, five days a week -- and the thousand words usually take me about an hour. Once that's done, I move on to related stuff; editing, promotional work, correspondence etc. After lunch I generally take a couple of hours "off" for reading and then continue with the...

A Conversation with... Gary William Murning - Part 2
CJW: Also in horror, characters need to be believable, even more so than in other genres of fiction. Believable characters make unrealistic situations genuine to the reader.
I've been re-reading your interview in Writing Magazine (February 2010 issue), about how your disability effects your writing day. Also being a writer with a disability (I have Joint Hypermobility Syndrome, which causes intense pain in all my joints, making walking without assistance, and gripping things, almost...

The Letter
The publication of Falling Star is almost upon us, and with that, I wanted to give you a little more information on the main antagonist of the novel, the Dark Man. I first created the Dark Man for my 2004 horror novel, Killing Time - which will be released in a revised 2nd edition version later in the year - and though he was intended to be just for that one story, like his victims, he never really left me, and the truth about who and what he is has grown from there, and when the idea for F...
