Featuring performances from all four authors being promoted that night (Jason Fisk, Sally Weigel, Ben Tanzer and Mark R. Brand), plus surprise performances from fellow local writers Delphine Pontvieux and Robert Duffer, contributors to the center's new summer anthology, Amsterdamned If You Do.

NEW INTERVIEW WITH D. PONTVIEUX

Profile of Author Interview with J.Oh.

Firstly, I write to express my heartfelt thanks to DelphinePontvieux, for her kindness to allow me to interview her despite her busy daily schedule. For those of you who want to know her background, please click at the title of this post to access to my preceding article. So, let us put our hands together to welcome this awesome author, Delphine, who is here to share with us her insight of her experience in publishing her award winner novel. Below please find my interview with her for your reading pleasure.

James: Perhaps you may share with us your feeling when you were declared winner for this award.

Delphine : It came as a surprise as I received the email while I was traveling in France to visit my family. I submitted my novel so many months prior, I had sort of forgotten about the contest, so it was even more exciting news because it was unexpected. It is a good thing because people value this kind of recognition, and it definitely helps with sales and getting added exposure for the novel.

ETA reviewed by Colonel D.Y, ret. US Air Force

The title quickly intrigued me, being a student of current political history and geography as well as current events, a novel on the Basque Region and its fight for independence caught my immediate attention.

The structure, description of the events and characters via brief chapters makes you want to read on, as you know sooner or later, the reason for inclusion will be revealed–and you cannot wait! The plot unfolds with lots of intrigue and visualizing on the part of the reader. It forces you to project & attempt to scope out what will occur next, but you are never really sure.

Having spent a good portion of my life involved with many of the world's cultures, yet having been raised in a very localized finite part of America, I could readily envision being right there in the Basque region experiencing what I was reading. Very well written and organized.

I understood the characters and the events that could create the plot as laid out; this is a thought provoking look at current events and what similar situations can lead too throughout the world.

The author seems to have such an intimate knowledge of people and events that you feel it is a story of a part of her life–True?
