Travel Guest Post: India Tiger Watching 101

The powerful tiger is the largest of the cat species and, as such, makes for a truly impressive sight when seen in the wild. Considered to be one of the world's most popular animals, tigers have held a prominent place in mythology, religion and culture throughout time. For those interested in seeing these magnificent animals up close a guided India tiger safari is one of the best and safest ways of doing so.

It is not known how many tigers remain in the wild. However, it is estimated that this figure is between 3,000 and 4,000. Over the last 100 years tigers have lost over 90% of their historic range and now live in isolated pockets in China, Southeast Asia and India. They are considered an endangered species. Of the eight sub-species that were in existence 60 years ago, three are now extinct.

India is home to the largest number of wild tigers in the world and is known for its Bengal tigers. India's Project Tiger conservation project has been underway since the 1970s and has resulted in a number of dedicated tiger reserves. Whilst poaching still remains an issue, there has been an increase in tiger numbers in India.

Tiger habitats can usually be found where there is sufficient cover to provide camouflage, where water is close by and where there is an abundance of prey. Tigers mostly feed on medium to large animals such as antelope, buffalo and wild boar and they hunt mainly at night. Adults lead solitary lives and tend to stay within a set territory. They are strong swimmers and can often be seen bathing and cooling down in pools and lakes.

Cubs are usually born between March and August. A litter usually has three or four cubs, which are reared solely by the female tiger. When they are eight weeks old they venture outside with their mother, although they do not travel with her until they are older and it is not until eighteen months that they become independent.

India's national parks, such as Corbett and Ranthambore in the north and Pench, Panna, Kanha and Bandhavgarh in the central region, are the ideal places to see these majestic creatures. Tiger safaris take place by boat or jeep, depending on the park. The safaris take place during early morning or evening, as this is the best time to see the tigers and other wildlife.

When going on a safari, accommodation is generally on site and will be in a hotel, lodge or tent, with a full range of amenities. Restaurant and leisure facilities, such as a pool or observation area, are usually available, giving visitors the chance to relax. Many reserves also offer a range of activities, such as guided tours of nearby villages, nature walks and talks by naturalists.

Some safaris also include sightseeing opportunities in nearby cities, giving visitors the chance to experience the rich cultural heritage of India. Many also offer hotel stays as part of their packages and the option to upgrade to a luxury hotel for those wishing to enjoy a little indulgence during their stay.

Travel Guest Post: Paris Attractions

If you happen to be a first-time visitor to Paris, be sure to get puzzled as to what you should see and where you should go! There are literally hundreds of places and spaces that you should see and take photographs. And everything is worth seeing and exploring in detail. Maybe a lifetime will not be sufficient to see and appreciate everything in Paris. We shall try to compile a convenient to-see list from a mix of museums, historical places and monuments. A tip right at the beginning – most of these places is covered when you get yourself a Paris Pass.

There are two structures without visiting which no trip to Paris could be deemed complete. The first and foremost is the impressive Eiffel Tower. Built from iron in 1889, it has come to represent Paris today. More than 230 million visitors have visited it since its opening. The other star attraction is the Notre Dame Cathedral. The dramatic towers, statuary, stained glass and spire will surely inspire anyone. Simply the fact that it took about 100 years to build it would suffice to give an idea of the grandeur and glory within.

For the history buffs out there, the Arc de Triomphe would be an unforgettable experience. It was built by Emperor Napoléon I to evoke the feel of military power and triumph. The sculptures and relief on this 164 feet structure is definitely worth your time and the grand Avenue des Champs-Elysées is also nearby. Another such historical place would be the Sarbonne University which was founded in 1257. You could also pay a visit to the countless literary figures that have been laid to rest at the Père Lachaise Cemetery.

If you are with kids, you should not miss the Paris Disneyland! A literal wonderland for kids, this theme park would also be great fun to the adults. You could also take them to see the animals at the Jardin des Plantes zoo and have a picnic in the many gardens and parks that dot Paris. The Musee Grevin or the wax museum is sure to thrill kids into wonder as they stare at masterpieces in wax.

Speaking of museums, Paris has more than 100 of them. The one you should not miss for anything is the Louvre! It is the world's largest in terms of the sculpture, painting and decorative objects. The most popular Mona Lisa and Venus De Milo are housed in here. You could walk through a history lane that spans hundreds of years in the Louvre alone. The Centre Georges Pompidou is considered by many Parisians as the cultural center of the city. With its modern art which you will either love or hate, this museum is something you could avoid if modern art is not your cup of tea. The same cannot be said about the National Museum of Modern Art however. Finally, the Musee d' Orsay, with its best Impressionist collection in the world, is something you may not like to miss.

Travel Guest Post: Guide to Canary Islands, Spain

The Canary Islands are located off the northwestern coast of Africa between Western Sahara and Morocco. The islands are one of the most popular destinations in the world, mainly because of the subtropical climate, but also because of the pristine beaches and beautiful tropical landscapes. You can expect long warm summers and winters.

The Spanish group of islands is a nationality of Spain and includes:

•       Tenerife

•       Gran Canaria

•       Fuerteventura

•       Lanzarote

•       La Palma

•       La Gomera

•       El Hierro

•       La Graciosa

•       Alegranza

•       Montana Clara

•       Roque del Este

•       Roque del Oeste

•       Isla de Lobos

Tenerife

The largest and most popular island in the group is Tenerife. With its peaks and valleys and natural landscapes there is plenty to see and do. Hike up Pico del Teide and enjoy the view. Head away from the southwestern resorts if you want serenity as you will see fewer tourists. Santa Cruz de Tenerife is the capital of the island and is the place to go if you want the true Canarian experience. If you like to tee off you will not be disappointed as Tenerife has some of the most popular golf courses in the world. Take the family to the zoo or just kick back and relax on the beach. If you are not sure how to spend your time, grab one of the travel guides and start planning your activities.

Gran Canaria

Fly into Gran Canaria Airport, rent a car and see the second most populated island in the group. Gran Canaria has roads that will take you around the entire island and up into the mountain areas. If you want to enjoy the beautiful blue ocean there are plenty of activities for you to enjoy. Go parasailing and see the rugged volcanic landscape, or grab your fins and go scuba diving. The canaries are popular with divers and have some excellent locations for you to explore.

Fuerteventura

Kite boarders, wave and wind surfers call Fuerteventura the Hawaii of Spain. The coastline has powerful banks that challenge even the best surfers. If you have never had the opportunity to hang ten, there are some good surf schools on the island that can show you how to surf.

Lanzarote

Like the rest of the islands, Lanzarote has beautiful weather all year round and has plenty of leisure and sporting activities that you can participate in. The village of La Santa is on the north coast and features the Club La Santa which is a sporting complex for professional athletes. The popular Guinate Tropical Park is full of lagoons, gardens and waterfalls and sits on 45,000 square meters. Take the family and enjoy over 1,300 birds, lemurs and monkeys. Walk through the aviary and participate in the parrot and cockatoo shows.

La Palma

The fifth largest island is full of tobacco plantations and is known for its hand rolled cigars. The volcanic ocean island is a great place to take your holidays and it is not as crowed as some of the other islands. Shop for local handcrafted gifts and have a bite at the local pub. La Palma has English speaking travel guides who can help you plan your free time.

La Gomera

If you love wine you will not be disappointed as La Gomera has some of the best reds and whites in the world. Take a food tour of the island and sample local tapas. Pack a picnic lunch and hike to Garajonay or go horseback riding. Take a boat ride to the Organ Pipes or rent a bike a pedal through the La Gomera forests.

El Hierro

The smallest island in the group El Hierro is beautiful. Enjoy the landscape and parasail over the rocky coastline or grab your gear and explore one of the many diving sites on the island. Do not forget to try some of the local Spanish cuisine which includes puchero, rancho con papas, and potaje.

La Graciosa

This beautiful island means graceful in Spanish and it really is. Those in the know call it the secret island and if you are looking for a peaceful holiday La Graciosa is the place to head. Cast a line and fish in the beautiful blue waters, or grab a bike and pedal across the island. Do not forget to dine on local seafood which is the main industry on the island.

Alegranza, Montana Clara, Roque del Este, Roque Del Oeste and Isla del Lobos have as much to offer as the highlighted islands above and whatever time of year you visit there is bound to be a festival happening, but if you really want to explore the Canaries check out one of the travel guides available and start planning the trip of a lifetime.

Food Guest Post: Sensual Eating

Thanks to the proliferation of outrageously popular TV food shows, Americans have grown to appreciate the aesthetics of a meal almost as much as its flavor. We've discovered our chefs are artists as well as cooks and bakers, and their colorful salads and abstract chocolate sculptures are works of art as well as good things to eat.

But there is yet another dimension to food to be explored, says Italian-born Chef Tiberio Simone, a James Beard Award winner and author of a provocative new coffee table book, La Figa: Visions of Food and Form (www.LaFigaProject.com). Shot by Matt Freedman, it features full-color, artistically rendered portraits of the naked human body decorated with fresh ingredients.

Incorporate food in your love life, he says, and you'll discover the sublime.

• Choose fresh, natural, organic foods. Sexy food still has the taste nature gave it, and there's no better choice than organic food because it's grown with love. A farmer's market is a great place to shop because you can touch and smell the produce.

• Watch out for food allergies – even if you don't plan to eat the food. If you're planning a sensual meal for your lover as a surprise, be aware of any food allergies or sensitivities he or she may have. Also, foods can cause irritation, burning or rashes when placed on the skin, if a person has a sensitivity. This can be especially true for certain delicate body parts.

• Bring your lover on your food-shopping excursion. View it as a bit of sensual foreplay. You can have a lot of fun caressing and gently squeezing the foods, and inhaling their aromas. The conversation should be entertaining, too.

• Taste the sensuality of the food while you and your partner eat. This sounds obvious, but it's not. Seduce your senses by breathing in the aroma of the dish. Close your eyes and inhale slowly so you can analyze and take in the ingredients. Take a small bite, roll the food around your tongue and in your mouth and make small sounds of pleasure. You might feel ridiculous, but it's fun, especially on a romantic date.

"Food and touch are truly the basic ingredients of life. If done properly, they will not only provide pleasure, but also engage and delight the senses," says Simone.

Adds photographer Freedman: "Any food can be beautiful and sensual if it has qualities that appeal to what you and your lover find sexy and enticing."

Take a peach, for example.

"Start by looking at its shape and colors," Simone says. "Press it just hard enough to feel the firmness and the touch of velvety skin, just like when you touch the skin of another person. I believe that fruits and vegetables respond to touch by releasing beautiful aromas for us to breathe in."

Simone says his Italian heritage and his culinary fluency heightened his awareness of the sensual similarities between fresh, organic foods and the human body. Like the human body, every food in its natural state has beauty in its lines, shape, color and texture. And like the human body, food gives us exquisite pleasure on a primal level.

"Spend a little time looking for the sensual aspects of food, and I guarantee you will become a pro at enjoying the sensual side of life," he says.

Tiberio started his career at an Italian restaurant in Seattle. He eventually became the pastry chef at Seattle's Four Seasons Olympic Hotel. He now runs his own company, La Figa Catering.

Travel Guest Post: Best Travel Gift and Stocking Stuffers for Christmas

As a seasoned traveler who literally takes over 25 trips per year I have found some travel gifts for your holiday that take the guesswork out of pleasing your resident traveler in the family. This year you won't have to worry if what you send gets used and enjoyed. ANY traveler will love these:

Magellan's World Time Alarm Clock

I don't know about you but one of my biggest pet peeves in travel is checking into a nice hotel, asking for a wake-up call and not receiving one or half-sleeping with one eye open all night wondering if you'll ever get that call. It's also a pain remembering to change your clock or watch when traveling through time zones. This is no longer an issue with Magellan's World Time Alarm Clock. With the ability to pre-set 16 different time zones, you'll know the time where you are going, where you've been, and back home too, for checking it. It's added bonus is a 12 or 24 hour format as well as a flashlight and calendar to boot. Now I can check the time, find the bathroom in a foreign hotel room, and fall back into deep and restful asleep knowing I'll make my flight. For light sleepers like me, that's peace of mind and convenience worth any price. At $24.85 I only wish I had got one years ago.

Plug 'n Play Retractable Earphones

For people who are on the go and need to simplify, I found these simply wonderful. High quality and convenience comes in small, neat, and simple packages. With a patented retractable feature, I can now adjust the cable any length up to four feet. Very comfortable, soft, detachable in-ear adapters fit comfortably so that excellent sound is both easy and handy. A nifty little clip allows me to attach the earphones to my pocket, purse, shirt, jacket or backpack for excellent sound and mobility in one.

(my tween and my husband both loved this one too) How often can you find the perfect stocking stuffer for only $19.50 and something you know they'll actually use?

Folding Noise Canceling Headphones

I've been wondering if these "noise canceling gadgets" really work and all I can say is YES, and I wish I had figured this out long ago. Finally I can catch must needed sleep on a flight and don't get off the plane with that noise still buzzing in my ears hours after the flight. Comfortable, easy-folding, stylish and practical, these little beauties from Able Planet use LINX AUDIO technology to block out airplane engine noise while delivering fantastic audio quality. Well-cushioned and with in-line volume control they actually reduce distortion and and increase perceived loudness so I can save my eardrums with lower volumes that pack more punch. I could even hear the in-flight announcements with the volume control. Finally peace and quiet on a long flight! (And yes even my teen though they were very cool). Recently reduced to $99.50, the price cannot be beat for the quality.

Sleep Pretty in Pink Women's Earplugs

All right, it sounds like I'm complaining but I find myself sleep deprived more often than not on a lot of trips these days. Sure, my kids might not be babies anymore, but who can sleep with a snoring husband, loud next-door-hotel-neighbors, midnight  ice machine runs and slamming doors down the hallways, crying babies in the room below, teens texting in the next bed, traffic, unfamiliar, needing to-be-serviced air conditioning and heating units. I could go on. But now I have a fighting chance with soft, comfortable, and yes, even cute, women's ear plugs. My daughters now fight me for a pair, cause they really do help with dad's snoring.  I like the little carrying case cause I hate rolling over to find an earplug in the middle of the night and they roll off the nightstand. $4.85 will buy you the gift of thoughtfulness and peaceful slumber.

Custom Fit Earplugs

And if you want to go for the top of the line, then get the gift that keeps on giving with these reusable, long-lasting silicone silencers that have inserts for a perfect and adjustable fit. They'll go the distance and fit all sizes. $14.85 and I have to say, I love the little case.

Cup Holder Power Adapter/Charger

What am I to do when my husband or teens won't stop lamenting that there aren't enough outlets for all their electronics? Aha! Finally an answer we can all live with because I even get a solution to one of my other pet peeves; too much console clutter. This charger fits perfectly in most cup holders and plugs into the cigarette lighter so four devices can be powered at once. Two USB slots and two DC ports along with a power indicator LED warning lights gives me peace of mind that the car battery is not being drained. Now everybody's happy and no more fighting over the outlets. $20.00 is amazing for this stocking stuffer that nearly anyone will appreciate.

Power Monkey

Another gadget of all gadgets for every traveler, is the pocket sized Power Monkey. Holding a charge for almost a year and coming with a multitude of adapters this little emergency portable power charger will juice up your portable electronics in no time. It's light, and easily fits in a pocket and you never have to hear your traveling buddies complain that their cell phone, iPod, digital cameras, etc. are dead. It even comes with a nice little travel pouch for all those great little adapters. This ultimate travel gadget is $69.00 and like ALL Magellan's products comes with a 100% satisfaction guarantee.

Gateway Wheeled Under-Seat Tote

This is no stocking stuffer, but at just a smidge over 6 pounds, this light, durable, and stylish nylon tote gets an A+ in my mind.  For us highly organized, efficient travelers who like convenience and functionality married with aesthetics, this is our ideal tote. With numerous strategically positioned pockets, padded iPad sleeve, zippered water bottle pockets, and 3-1-1 pocket it makes rushing from place to place a lot less stressful. Ergonomically designed detachable shoulder strap and extra-long, comfortable telescoping handle and piggy back strap make this the sensible solution to air travel, with the quality ballistic nylon and luxurious detailing you would expect from something Magellan's designed. Four beautiful colors to choose from at $149.00, it makes a truly lovely gift for your serious traveler.

Hint: if you buy a couple stocking stuffers, you get free shipping until December 14 on orders over $50. That can be like getting another free stocking stuffer!  Www.magellans.com

And if you really can't decide, a gift certificate is always great fun for shopping at Magellan's…hint, hint….honey (and kiddos) !

Travel Guest Post: Embassy Lake Tahoe & Ski Resort

Likely no better place exists to lay your head near Lake Tahoe than the gorgeous Embassy Suites Lake Tahoe Hotel & Ski Resort in the heart of South Shore.

An outstanding property in every regard, this lodging option is the best year round with 400 beautifully appointed two room suites.

Every stay includes a complimentary cooked-to-order breakfast with all the offerings. Omelets, bacon, sausage, potatoes, pancakes, fresh fruit, yogurts, muffins and more; this is the place to fuel up for a busy day or a day or two of leisure.

A lovely indoor heated pool and spa and an excellent fitness center with modern and well maintained equipment round out the amenities nicely.

Every evening a pleasant manager's reception is offered with complimentary cocktails and hors d'oeuvres. Specialty drinks are offered as well at no charge. For years, my favorite has been the Cactus Bite.

One reason the Embassy Suites Lake Tahoe Hotel & Ski Resort is such a perfect choice, is partly due to location and we all know location is everything. The State line casinos are literally a few steps away. Excellent dining, wonderful shopping and the lift to Heavenly Ski Resort is less than a minute away.

Literally moments from world-class golfing, boating, cycling and ice skating, you can't go wrong. Valet parking is also offered.

Guests at Embassy Suites Lake Tahoe Hotel & Ski Resort also receive a complimentary pass to a private beach only a few blocks away for summer beach and water fun.

As if the great locale and endless amenities are not enough, this property itself has so many nice features. It's a great diversion from staying at a casino. With the unique grand garden atrium design the acoustics are excellent and a genuinely fabulous night's sleep is almost guaranteed. No smoke, noise or other nuisances so commonly associated with casinos and other types of lodging are an issue, yet casinos, bars and nightlife are only yards away should you want the best of both worlds.

The Embassy Suites Lake Tahoe – Hotel & Ski Resort is also very committed to protect Lake Tahoe, the largest alpine lake in North America. With a clarity of 70 feet, this means that one can see 70 feet down into crystal clear waters. Annually, the residents and visitors of Lake Tahoe work hard to maintain that clarity and to help keep Lake Tahoe pristine for future generations. Embassy Suites Lake Tahoe – Hotel & Ski Resort is the leader in this community in hotel environmental sustainability, continually striving to protect natural resources and minimizing their carbon footprint. A mountain resort nestled in the beautiful High Sierra, they have implemented innovative, cost-effective programs to reduce energy consumption and to continue to be environmentally friendly.

Continuously consulting with environmental and energy-efficiency experts has helped them to analyze and develop opportunities as a hospitality leader in environmental sustainability. They continue to partner with hotel visitors to keep the planet and Lake Tahoe beautiful for future generations.

We have stayed at many Embassy Suites properties and love their product, however this particular Lake Tahoe property continues to be, by far, our most favorite. It is consistently well-managed, clean, meticulously maintained, and a delight to visit year after year.

There really is no better lodging option no matter what season you decide to stay. Staying at the Embassy Suites Lake Tahoe is great for any vacationing couple and good for the planet too.

Travel Guest Post: The Guide to the Healthy Jet Set Life by Carl Germano

As the holiday season kicks into full gear, the fun and exciting time of family and business travel will take center stage. Staying fit may be one of the last things to cross your mind when booking a vacation or a business trip but it should definitely not be forgotten. While a vacation should include some breaks from your diet, to throw all of your hard work away would be a major mistake considering the food intake for the next few months.Step one: make sure your destination includes a gym or health club. While it is not needed to exercise, it will go a long way to keep you motivated. Carl Germano searched world hotels for the best experience in a gym.

Langham Place in Hong Kong made the top of his list.

The health club is on the 41st floor giving you the feeling of being on top of the world while working out. From the airy modern cardio room you look out on a sea of neon and the throb of humanity in the Mongkok district.

In most cases the actual traveling can be the most difficult part. It is important to keep yourself moving and comfortable at the same time while in a car or sitting on a plane. Carl's best tips for airplane travel include noise canceling headphones to make sure you get rest. Also while you are awake, move around. Even if it's a quick walk up and down the aisle, it will be much better than not moving over a extensive period of time.

Carl also recommends having a great pillow on board or in a car.

The "TravelRest" pillow should take care of that.

While eating healthy is the most important part of any diet, it is vacation, so enjoy yourself. But not too much! We have reached the most popular airport restaurants. Beating everyone out was Custom Burgers by Pat LaFrieda, which is located in Laguardia airport (NY). LaFrieda gives you the same meat you'd get at the sit-down Prime Tavern for a lot less dough, along with amazing milkshakes from the local Ronnybrook Dairy. They have created the perfect "On-The-Go" burger.

When you get to your hotel room, it's time to get a real workout in. Obviously, if the hotel has a gym, use it but if not, no worries, we've put together a quick and simple workout that will keep your body on point while taking a break form reality. This 20 minute super set workout with no breaks in between will have you in a bikini or shirtless about 80% of your vacation, it's designed to shred you up while burning fat at the same time.

Boot Slappers

As we are heading into December, and people from all over the world are scrambling to book a cheap holiday before 2011 comes to a close. Some money saving tips this holiday season would keep you from over-spending. We all know that travel and vacations are fun, they're also a major expense. But do not keep yourself shut in your four walls during vacation time to save money. It is the most awful idea to save money in festive season.Saving money on one trip will in a way help you when you are planning your next trip. Here are a few tips of how to  save money in the holiday season:

Staycations are a great idea

Spend time in a swimming pool in your backyard this vacation, or visit a local amusement park or museum with the family and you would be able to save a lot of money on traveling. It is like taking off from work to spend some time with family at home. Staycations are a good alternative to pricey, and tiresome vacations which involve a lot of traveling and expenses.

Visit the destinations in Off-seasons

Do not travel in peak travel days, as it may burn a hole in your pocket. Air fares, hotel bookings and sight-seeing, everything becomes really costly during peak holiday season. Try visiting places in off-seasons, as you can easily get a luxurious hotel for stay in affordable rate.

Discount available online

Websites like Groupon, Snapdeal, LivingSocial might help you if you do not wish to go on a specific holiday destination. Just register yourself with any of these websites and they would send you e-mail and sms alerts on a daily basis offering lots of discounts. It rains discounts during festive season on these websites. But these offers do not last for long, so you must avail them as soon you spot them.

Try to book the flights and hotel reservations in advance

When you know in advance that you are going to visit your friends or family in summer vacations, you must book flight at least three months prior to th moving date. Travelers who fly in the middle of the week will also get discounted air fares.

Avoid too much shopping

If you have planned your holidays in a different country, avoid shopping gifts for friends. Even if you are out with your family and kids, avoid indulging in shopping. It may increase your luggage unnecessarily.

There are a lot of other money saving tips that you must try if you want to enjoy a holiday trip in budget. Traveling by train is a good option; it also enriches your children's knowledge about a particular place. Look for package deals, as everything like flight, hotel and cab gets booked in one go. You can always stay in furnished apartments, as these give an at-home feeling. You will definitely save good amount of money on traveling by these creative ideas of cost-cutting.

Travel Guest Post: Puerto Vallarta

When you ask most people about traveling to Mexico they'll likely list the obvious places to go: Cabo, Cancun, and Playa del Carmen… However Puerto Vallarta, while not the first place that pops into people's minds, is one of the best places to vacation to in Mexico. The destination spot, which leaped to fame after the film Night of the Iguana debuted, boasts several reasons that it beats out the more tourist-driven beaches.

1.      Climate

Since the city is a mixture of sandy beaches and tropical jungles, the weather stays near perfect year-round. It doesn't matter if you're vacationing there in the winter or the summer, you can expect mild temperatures and beautiful weather.

2.      Variety

Because of the aforementioned mix of beaches and jungles you are able to do it all in Puerto Vallarta, whether that means spending lazy afternoons on the beach, kayaking through the bays, scuba diving in the oceans, hiking through the mountains, zip lining through the jungles, or four-wheeling up and down scenic pathways, there is something that will appeal to just about everyone.

3.       Authenticity

While the more commercialized Mexican hot spots cater to tourists, you can easily find a more authentic taste of Mexico in Puerto Vallarta – both food and life. You can travel to small Mexican cities, find local beaches, and eat local cuisine, giving you a taste of genuine Mexico instead of a more commercialized Mexico.

4.      A Fit for any Budget

Whether you are looking to stay at a five-star resort, a more personal villa, or a more low-key hotel, there are options to fit any budget, making this luxury vacation affordable for all income brackets. Many of the villas line the mountains, giving you spectacular views of the entire city with first-class service and accommodations. You can also find all-inclusive resorts or more traditional hotels, so there really is something for everyone.

5.      Food

No vacation is complete without food, and Puerto Vallarta boasts some of the finest. The city has an annual Gourmet Food Festival showcasing food not only from Puerto Vallarta, but also from around the world, making it a truly unique experience.

The next time you're considering a beach vacation, skip over the more well-known tourist spots and check out Puerto Vallarta instead. The city has so much to offer to both locals and tourists alike that many people have retired and made their home there. With so much to do you're sure to please everyone.
