Wedding Tales by Lynn Lovegreen
Romance writers love weddings, of course. What’s not to like, with a romantic couple, loved ones gathered to see the event, lovely clothes and flowers and all that stuff? I’ve enjoyed all the weddings I’ve attended and the ones I’ve seen in books and movies. I’ve even written a couple weddings for my Gold Rush series. So it was hard to choose a topic for this month’s blog. I’ll share my favorite

A Cinderella Wedding Romance with a Twist

Growing up, little girls were fed this fairytale idea of
what weddings should be. Weddings were a measure of your worth,
and a culmination of what life was about. You'd gotten your man.
At some point, every woman expected Prince Charming to arrive on his white horse, and sweep her off her feet. At last, everything

20th Century Historical Romance's Allure by Anna Brentwood
What draws me to the time periods in my books? There is no one
answer. I am drawn by the characters where they lead, compelled to weave their
truths with real history.
Because my first published book percolated years through career
and raising a family, I had ample time to develop a passion for research.
Getting immersed in the times I write about is one of my greatest pleasures.

Looking Forward to Our July Wedding by Dora Bramden
As our RTG topic is AWedding Story, how
could I resist talking about my own wedding that happening exactly one month
and one day from now? It’s been a very busy time, organizing our
special day but as a mature age couple, we are able to plan it together and have
it exactly as we want. Our day will reflect who Sam and I are now in our choice
of the celebrant, songs that will be played and the

Outrageous Weddings
II don’t actually have an outrageous wedding tale because I
can’t remember attending a single wedding that wasn’t absolutely divine. I do,
however, have some uber-outrageous wedding info.
In a 2018 study that polled 3,000 American
knot-tiers, the average price of a 100-guest wedding was $33,391. No
wonder the weddings I attended were divine.
Ye Gods! I repeat: $33,390.

Marriage of Convenience by Paty Jager
I've never been a romance reader who had to have certain tropes in the romance books I read. One of my least favorite is marriage of convenience.
Yet, that was the trope I used in my very first book in the Letters of Fate series historical western romance series. Davis, the book, starts out with Davis Weston riding on an Army freight wagon headed to his wedding to a woman he's never met.
