The Girl You Left Behind by Jo Jo Moyes

OK, it's official. I really, really, really don't like war stories (Casablanca excluded). I usually enjoy Jo Jo Moyes, but I couldn't get through the French WW2 part of "The Girl You Left Behind".

I tries the first 20 minutes of it. Too predictable. :-(

Sad Cypress

Sad Cypress by Agatha Christie is first and foremost a who-dun-it. But on a whole different level, it's a love story. The murder mystery is just as good as the romance plot.

29 February

Leap year! I still have to see the movie by the same title, but here's a peace of trivia for you, straight from the movie: "according to Irish tradition, a man who receives a marriage proposal on a leap day must accept it."

But why does February traditionally have only 28 days? Blame the Romans, Caesar Augustus wanted "his" month to be as long as Julius Caesar's, so he stole a few days from February to make August as long as July.
