Prague Unbound

During the course of COMPLICATION, Lee Holloway comes across a strange guide book called Prague Unbound that helps inform his mysterious journey as he attempts to find out what happened to his brother.

After a weeks of painful negotiation, I was able to secure permission from Prague Unbound‘s author to publish excerpts of that book on this blog. It offers a darkly skewed and decidedly sinister vision of Prague, is rather too focused on the bloody, violent and tragic aspects of the city’s history, and is of dubious accuracy at best – but as this book played such a large role in Lee Holloway’s story, I felt it was worth sharing with readers of COMPLICATION, and anyone else interested in Prague’s checkered past.

Over the coming weeks I’ll be publishing Prague Unbound entries covering some of the more interesting people, places and things in the city on the Vltava. Stay tuned…

COMPLICATION playlist

I recently put together a musical playlist for Largehearted Boy, a great books and music blog that deserves a place in your daily surfing routine. You can read about the tunes I listened to while writing the book (or songs that otherwise informed the work), as well as stream the playlist through Spotify.

Writing about these songs was a fun exercise, though I forgot how hard dancing about architecture can be.
