In partnership with Levi’s®, I’m very proud to present our stop-motion music video entitled “GOOD NIGHTS” — a piece that captures the essence of our collaboration RE: THE ROAD.
Watching “Good Nights” immediately gives you a complete sensory experience of what it’s like to be on a physical journey and far apart from the one(s) you love. ”Good Nights” also embodies the creative collaborative process that hitRECord uses to create art. Thousands of image, video and audio records were contributed to our collaboration RE: THE ROAD, and a handful of RECorders edited them together creating this patchwork-quilt video collage. ”Good Nights” started out as an instrumental guitar piece by TheTenant (Cyprus). theboxsets (USA) added music, lyrics and a vocal performance. xobreexo23 (USA) shot a series of self portraits to create a visual through-line. tori (United Kingdom) and IrmaVep (United Kingdom) tied the entire piece together physically and stylistically by providing art-direction and stop-motion video editing.
As you may or may not know, Levi’s® has partnered with hitRECord this year to empower our community to create the art we make — short films, music, writing and images. Levi’s® has a rich history of empowering great artists and innovators. It means a lot to me that Levi’s® has come on board to recognize the artists at hitRECord by supporting the art we make together.

Along with our partners at Levi’s®, we’re incredibly proud to present MADEMOISELLE NOIR — a short macabre musical tragedy to come out of our collaboration regarding ‘Outsiders.’ This theme’s all about the outlaws, the outliers, and the odd ones out that march to the beat of their own drummer. Often times an outsider can become the hero of the story and go on to triumphant pursuits with happy endings. However, sometimes in our society the outsider speaks such a different language we misunderstand and vilify the otherwise beautiful and innocent.
Mademoiselle Noir is one such harrowing tale of a woman who was misunderstood by the people around her and met a tragic fate. This beautiful story was contributed to the OUTSIDERS collaboration first as a song written and performed by ppeppina (Finland) and then brought to life with key illustrations by sojushots (New Zealand), animation by MarieIv (Russia) and orchestrations by Krrr (USA). The piece was further developed by the hitRECord community by providing macabre illustrations and eerie musical accompaniment.
As you may or may not know, Levi’s® has partnered with hitRECord this year to empower our community to create the art we make — short films, music, writing and images. It means a lot to me that a company that has empowered so many great artists and innovators in the past have come on board to recognize what we’re doing at hitRECord.

WASHINGTON: Initiative 502 legalizes the possession of up to an ounce of marijuana by adults 21 and over, but does not allow for personal cultivation, except by or for medical marijuana patients. It will license marijuana cultivation and retail and wholesale sales, with restrictions on advertising. Regulation will be the remit of the state liquor control board, which will have to come up with rules by December 2013. The measure creates a 25% excise tax on marijuana sales, with 40% of revenues dedicated to the general fund and 60% dedicated to substance abuse prevention, research, and healthcare. It also creates a per se driving under the influence standard of 5 nanograms of THC per milliliter of blood.
COLORADO: Amendment 64 allows adults 21 and over to possess up to an ounce of marijuana or six marijuana plants, three of which can be mature. It will create a system of state-licensed cultivation, manufacturing, and testing facilities and state-licensed retail stores. Local governments would have the option of regulating or prohibiting such facilities. The amendment also requires the state legislature to enact legislation governing industrial hemp cultivation, processing, and sale, and to create an excise tax on wholesale marijuana sales. The first $40 million of that annual revenue will be dedicated to building public schools.also, medical marijuana won in massachusetts
