PROFIT UPDATE
We wanted to update the community on Profits for...
We wanted to update the community on Profits for Season 1 of HITRECORD ON TV as well as 2013’s productions. Contributing Artists will be receiving checks for all of 2013’s productions in June.
All of the Profit Proposals for Season 1 can be found HERE and the deadlines for community feedback are all organized HERE.
Today we posted HITRECORD ON TV Season 1 Marketing Profit Proposals HERE. Please provide any feedback on the Marketing Proposals by Wednesday, April 2nd.

The ten-year-anniversary Blu-Ray of MYSTERIOUS SKIN was released yesterday. USA Today picked it as their “release o’ the week.” This has lots of cool extras, including new interviews with Gregg Araki, Joseph Gordon-Levitt, Brady Corbet, and me. Thanks to all the folks at Strand Releasing for their hard work.

ANIMATORS: Using MukeiRoyalty’s key art PSD files, find creative ways of combining the green screen dancers into the video. Animate various graphical treatments of the green screen dancers.
GRAPHIC DESIGNERS: Remix resources that helps combine the animated and live action worlds. Design graphical treatments to incorporate green screen dancers in the animated world.
VIDEO EDITORS: Create test edits that successfully combines the green screen dancers with the animation. Discover a narrative and stylistic thru line that combines all the material into one video.
CURATORS: Find resources outside of the collaboration that helps bring these worlds together.
ILLUSTRATORS: Illustrate storyboards that lend direction to the video.
WRITERS: Write a treatment that lends direction to the overall piece.

This limited-edition (and now unfortunately sold out) book we made for hitRECord and Levi’s is one of my favorite pieces I’ve designed for print. It was bound journal-style, and came packaged with a trusty red pen, wrapped closed with an auxiliary headphones cable, and of course a road trip soundtrack download.
Oh, and a bunch of postcards in the back to send home along the way.
The perfect road trip companion.
