Six Sentence Sunday – 3/14

No Gravatar

Since I got an email from my editor this week, I was going to put six of those nicely edited sentences here for my Sunday post, but I finished with those already and dug back into my WiP (which finally has a tentative title! Yey!) and decided to share something from it instead.

Just a warning this week…there's no foul language, but it does deal with/make reference to things some people may be wary of and/or find objectionable. Consider yourself warned. ;) Enjoy!

When Five Become Four

No Gravatar

I was asked to guest over at Paranormal Romantics today and decided to talk about a unique challenge I face as a writer. One most people take for granted.

How do you write about five senses when you only have four?

Six Sentence Sunday – 3/7

No Gravatar

It's that time of the week again – Sunday.

For the past week, my writing life has been centered around a new WiP and I thought I would share six sentences from what I've been working on. There's no title yet, but you don't need to know that in order to enjoy or for me to play along. :D

Her curt dismissal of his compliment told him she wasn't someone who received compliments often. If he had anything to say about that, it wouldn't continue. "Well, you said the store needed a...

This week I've selected six sentences from my current release, Flash of Dark.

He reluctantly released me and watched as I settled my coat, minus the damaged belt, around my shoulders. "What time do you get off?"
I couldn't help...

Six Sentence Sunday

No Gravatar

It's that time again – Sunday. Which means six sentences. Today's selection is the first six sentences from my upcoming release, Midnight's Ghost (which is in editing currently, so you know the drill. All errors blamed on the cats).

Enjoy!

Whoever said karma was a bitch wasn't kidding. I wondered what cosmic entity I had pissed off this time in order to earn this particular boot in the stomach. I mean that literally, by the way. There was a size twelve wide currently planted in my stomach. He...

My TBR Pile – Show & Tell

No Gravatar

So, it's February 18th. Which means Flash of Dark has been out for a whole month. So, what I have done in that month? Started the next book in the Star Runner series (Midnight's Shadow), finished the next book in the Rebirth series (Blood Fury), waffled and fought with my own inner writing related demons. I've always been my own worst enemy when it comes to writing, but now it's a whole different set of them added on top of what I already deal with. That's okay though, to not get caught up...
