Cover Art: A.J.'s Angel

Just got some lovely cover art for A.J.'s Angel, which is due out May 31 from Samhain Publishing:
Here's the blurb:

Tattoos fade with time. Emotions never lose their edge.

Luke Emerson is the last person Sebastian Wakefield expects to see strolling into his tattoo shop. But Luke's not back after four years to take up where they left off. Not even to apologize for the cheating that broke them up.

Luke wants a custom tattoo, a memorial for someone known only as "A.J.". Much as Seb would love to tell Luke to take this ink and shove it, he's a professional. Plus, he's reluctant to admit, he wouldn't mind getting his hands on Luke again. Even if it's just business.

Once Luke's in the tattoo chair, though, Seb finds himself struggling with all the anger and resentment he thought he'd left behind—and those aren't the only feelings reignited. Their relationship may have been turbulent, but it was also passionate. Four years clearly hasn't been long enough for the embers of that fire to go cold.

A few subtle hints from Luke is all it takes to make Seb consider indulging in some of that physical passion. It shouldn't be that tough to keep his emotions from getting tangled up in sweaty sheets.

After all, it's not like he's in love with Luke anymore. Right?

Product Warnings: Contains two exes who shouldn't want each other like this, steamy ex-sex they shouldn't be having, and a whole lot of ink.

Winds of Change

So as we go into our last year on Okinawa, it's time for orders. We were hoping to stay overseas, but my husband was advised to take a shore duty billet back in the States for this tour, then apply for overseas again when that tour's over.

So...that's what he did. And the verdict is...

...Nebraska.

I KNOW, I KNOW, SHUT UP. HOW EXCITING.

Actually, we ARE excited about it. Not because cornfields are all that exciting, but we'll be back on the mainland, which will be a nice switch. More road trips. Day trips up to the Badlands to take pictures. Exploring some areas of the country we've only driven through. Tornado-chasing. I'll miss the hell out of Okinawa, but this will be fun too. Especially because...most importantly...it isn't Norfolk. I do believe I'd have screamed if we'd gotten orders back to Norfolk.

Now, what about the blog? Naturally, it will remain active. Pictures will obviously have a different look about them, but I'll still be blogging about our adventures and shenanigans. And writing, since I'll still be doing that full-time.

For now, though, we have 8 months left on Okinawa, and we fully intend to live it up. Expect loads of Okinawa (and mainland Japan!) pics soon, plus we'll hopefully be getting our Japan tattoos in the next couple of months.

And then...viva Nebraska.

Coming Soon: The Closer You Get

I can finally let this cat out of the bag...

Ask and ye shall receive. Many readers have said they'd like to see a sequel to The Distance Between Us, specifically one in which Kieran gets his own story. The people have spoken, the author has listened, and by popular demand, Kieran is getting his own story.

So, come November, keep an eye out for The Closer You Get from Samhain Publishing, and see if this unabashedly slutty and thoroughly jaded bartender can be persuaded to give monogamy -- maybe even love -- a try.

NOW AVAILABLE: Reconstructing Meredith

"Scott, I need your help."

Five words from a woman he hasn't seen in five years, and Scott Moore's world is thrown off its axis. Ex-girlfriend Meredith has resurfaced with a past full of horrific abuse at the hands of a man who called himself a Dom, and she has the scars to prove it. Now she needs Scott's help to reclaim her sexuality and put the past behind her.

Scott is more than willing to help, but he has no idea the toll it will take on him, not to mention his other polyamourous relationships. What's more, while Scott and Meredith face down her demons, their own past won't be forgotten. Neither will Scott's feelings for Meredith…

AUTHOR'S NOTE: This book contains references to traumatic physical and sexual abuse, including rape and imprisonment, and the psychological effects thereof. While the abuse is not shown, it is discussed and may be upsetting to some readers. Please use your discretion.

Currently available at Carnal Passions, more links to be added as they're available.

Pictures from Whale-watching

It was another glorious day in Okinawa today...a perfect day to grab the cameras, hop on a boat, and go out whale-watching. Appropriately, we looked like dorky tourists:
You'll never guess what we saw.

THAR SHE BLOWS! (seriously, they wanted us to say that whenever a whale spouted...um...no)...
And where there's spray, there's whales:
I could watch them all day long, I swear...
I wasn't terribly impressed with how close some of the other boats got to the whales, but it did make for quite the size comparison (if you click on this picture and look closely, you can actually see the whale's mouth on the right):
Now, I have always wanted to get a picture of a whale flipping its tail. And not from a million miles away like the ones I got at Hedo. I mean a close-up, badass, whale tail pic. Why? I don't know. I just have. It's been etched in stone on my bucket list since I was a kid.

Please excuse me while I go cross off that particular item...
Again...
And one more time for good measure:
Traffic jam!
There is only one thing cooler than getting a whale tail pic, and that's getting a whale breaching. We did see one breach today, but I was busy trying not to fall on my ass when the boat had hit some waves, and didn't quite get my camera up to my face in time. I saw the breach in all its glory and will never forget it, but sadly, this was the best I could do as far as pictures:
All splash. No whale.

But I would be remiss if I didn't have something to show my loyal blog minions, so here is an artist's rendering of what I saw:
Just not the same, is it?

My husband, fortunately, was faster on the uptake and got this amazing shot:
We're hoping to get out at least once more before the migration season is over, so in between lots of cover art and release dates in the coming weeks, hopefully I'll be posting more whale pictures. Check back and see. ;)

Friday Mancandy - Coat & Tie Required

First things first: I've got a lot on my plate right now, writing-wise, so there may be some more lengthy periods without updates on this blog. Or, rather, without updates besides cover art, releases, etc. However, I am trying to balance writing/not-writing time, and my folks are coming to visit next month, which means spending more time out and about on the island. With any luck, I might even have some more whale pics soon. ;)

Second: I am still squeeing over a lovely review from Whipped Cream Erotic Romance Reviews for Light Switch. The reviewer gave it 4.5 out of 5 cherries, and commented:
"I was completely entranced with Light Switch from the first chapter. There is nothing more exciting then starting a book that you hate to put down -- one that demands you finish it even if you have to give up a good night's sleep to do it."
The entire review is here.

Now, with all of that out of the way, it's time for some mancandy!

I think many of my loyal blog minions will agree that men and suits go together like...well, like things that go together really well. I'm not going to use words like "dapper", mostly because I think that's a stupid word, but let's face it. Suits are awesome. So, today, I blog in celebration of the coat, the tie, and the sexiness:

Such as Peter Andre...
A little Cliff Simon goodness for Misa...
Hugh Jackman always looks good in a suit...
Speaking of Aussies in suits, Sam Worthington looks pretty smexy too...
In fact, let's have another look at him...
Joaquin Phoenix...
Colin Farrell...
James McAvoy....
Of course, some James Purefoy...
Gerard, you're supposed to be wearing a jacket and tie...
Okay, now you have the tie, but no jacket, smartass...
Ah, there we go.
(whatever, it was just an excuse to post three pics of Gerard)

Here's one just for Libbie:
And she'll probably also agree with the inclusion of Robert Downey Jr:
If I had to pick my ten favorite pictures of Jared Leto -- and I have about 2,000 on my computer -- this one would likely be in that ten:
Don't judge me. I like it.

There you have it...coats, ties, and WANT.

If you have any ideas for Friday Mancandy, please feel free to comment here or e-mail me. Whether it's suggestions for new faces or themes, I'm always open to suggestions. I mean, I could easily have six straight weeks of Leto-themed Friday Mancandy, but hey, I want my loyal blog minions to enjoy this too. :) So send your requests!
