Sugarcoated, Hot Cakes book one
Sugarcoated is coming soon!
The first book in the brand new rom com series, Hot Cakes!
I can't wait for you to meet Aiden and Zoe along with all of their friends (who are all getting books ;) )!
Here's a peek at this brother's best friend, friends to lovers, funny, hot small town rom com!
He might be her brother’s best friend, but he didn’t care.
This was happening.
He pulled back and looked down at her, still holding her against the fridge.
She was flushed, her lips dark pink, her pupils dilated, and she was breathing hard.
She was also wrapped around him like a spider monkey on a banana tree.
Slowly she pulled in a deep breath and blinked.
“Surprised?” he asked, his voice gruff.
She licked her recently ravaged lips. And nodded. “Um, yeah.”
He pressed her more firmly into the fridge to hold her up and brought the cake ball he was still holding to his mouth. He bit into it as she watched, her breathing still uneven.
He gave her a cocky smirk. “I intend to have my cake and eat it too, Zoe.”

Getting Off Easy sneak peek!
Here's a little bit from Getting Off Easy, the next in the Boys of the Big Easy series!
Playboy firefighter James Reynaud's whole world gets tipped upside down when a baby boy is abandoned on his doorstep. But that's nothing compared to the way he goes head over heels for his across-the-hall neighbor when he enlists her help with diaper duty!
* * * * *
Getting Off Easy
January 14, 2020
Harper reached out to lift the baby, but just as her hand touched his back, James stirred.
She froze.
“Professor?”
His voice was husky from sleep, low and gravelly, and Harper’s belly flipped, heat sliding from her stomach lower, between her legs. They were in his bedroom. One of them was in bed. And that voice. And the nickname. She could hardly be blamed for her reaction.
“Hey,” she said softly.
“You okay?”
It was the middle of the night, and he was the one asleep with the thing that had just turned his life upside down, but he was asking about her? She never came to him with needs. He came to her. She nodded. “I thought I’d take him so you could get more comfortable.”
He looked down at the baby, and seemingly instinctively, his hand slid from the baby’s butt to his back. James’s hand was huge on the tiny baby, and Harper swallowed hard at the sweet picture. “He’s okay.”
“You sure? I don’t mind.”
He looked up at her. He was clearly still sleepy, maybe not fully awake. “You wanna help?” he asked.
She nodded. “Yeah.” She felt terrible for leaving earlier. It had gone against every instinct except the one that screamed at her to protect her heart no matter the cost. But she was afraid she was far past the point of that being possible.
“Then come here.”
Harper wet her lips. “Come… there?”
“Yeah.” He reached for her with his free hand and caught her around the wrist, tugging her forward.
She could have easily pulled back, broken free, resisted. But she let him urge her onto the mattress.
Harper knelt with a knee next to his hip. “How does this help?”
“Gets you up against me,” he said, his voice still sleep roughened.
Her heart skittered. “That’s helpful?”
“Can’t imagine how it will hurt.” He gave her a sleepy, but still devastatingly sexy smile. “This way you’re here if he does need something.”
Well, he had a point.
Harper stretched out on the mattress beside James. He put his arm up above his head again, not holding her, but definitely exposing plenty of surface area for her to be up against.
Oh, what the hell. She wouldn’t sleep well at her place now, wondering what was going on over here. This way she was very much here for whatever went on. And she’d wanted to be up against him for a few months now. Lord only knew what the next few days were going to bring with the baby and everything. She might as well enjoy this moment while she had it.
She scooted closer. His body was hot and hard. She swallowed with some difficulty.
Then the baby made a little grunting sound and curled and stretched against James.
This was so not how she’d ever pictured being in bed with James Reynaud. That was for sure.

Getting Off Easy is coming January 14th!
Getting Off Easy, Boys of the Big Easy book four, is almost here!!
No worries, you can jump in right here if this is your first trip to New Orleans to visit my hot single dads!
You're definitely going to want to check out the playboy firefighter who finds an abandoned baby on his doorstep! James is something special! And how is his across-the-hall neighbor, Harper, supposed to resist when he comes knocking and asking for help? She's a goner, folks. And she doesn't even really mind! :)
You know, this book almost didn't happen!
Book three came out last February and it was feeling like readers were more ready for the spin-off series, Boys of the Bayou, than they were for more from the Big Easy. So we headed down to the bayou and jumped in with the Landry family! And that was so much fun!
Then, when that series wrapped up and I was getting ready for my next series, there was just this niggling in the back of my mind. I'd had James and Harper's story with me for a very long time. I knew all about the baby boy that would show up on James's doorstep and about the buttoned-up professor that lives across the hall and the fluffy little dog they share custody of. I just couldn't shake their story. So I decided to start writing it and see how it went.
Well, it went amazingly well. The story just flew out of my fingers! And then I sent it off to my editor and she absolutely fell head over heels for James and Harper and everyone and well, obviously, we had to get it out to readers!
So, I'm thrilled to now be just two weeks away and to already have some early reviews in telling me that going back to the Big Easy and writing this book was absolutely the right thing to do!
I hope you'll check out Getting Off Easy on January 14th!

His protective streak is even hotter than the local jambalaya.
Beauty and the Bayou is out in the world and I'm SO thrilled with the response!
I'm so happy you all love Sawyer and Juliet as much as I do!
I remember a reader saying after Sweet Home Louisiana that she couldn't wait to see who was going to heal him. That really hit me and I really wanted to do Sawyer and his past trauma justice while also making sure that he got the happily ever after he so deserved! I'm so glad to know that I pulled that off! :)
Thank you to everyone who grabbed Beauty and the Bayou already and who have left lovely reviews and sent me such amazing notes!
And I can't wait for you all to get to know Kennedy and Bennett better and see how this guy handles the feistiest Landry of all (or is that Ellie? Or Leo? lol!) Hint: he doesn't handle her. He just loves her ;)
We'll go back to the bayou on September 30th!
Thank you again for making release week for Beauty and the Bayou so much fun!!

Beauty and the Bayou!
A beauty and the beast romance with a quirky, klutzy beauty who’s afraid of water, and a sexy, beastly boat captain with a Louisiana drawl—and a wacky Cajun family—whose protective streak is hotter than his grandma’s jambalaya.
COMING AUGUST 13th!
I can't wait for you all to meet Sawyer and Juliet! :) Want a peek?
Beauty and the Bayou
Erin Nicholas, 2019
Suddenly she realized that meant Sawyer was going to put his hands on her. Tingles tickled down her spine and she swallowed hard. “You’re going to braid my hair?”
His eyes darkened slightly. Was the whole his-hands-on-her occurring to him, too? And affecting him?
“Guess so.” His voice was a little gruffer.
“Well, okay then.”
He moved in closer. “Turn around.”
She did, preparing herself for his touch. *It’s just your hair. It’s a braid. This isn’t sexy*.
Sawyer dragged the hair elastic from her ponytail and then combed his fingers through her hair.
Yeah, she’d so been lying to herself. This was very sexy. Sawyer started at the base of her skull and raked his fingers up through her hair, rubbing along her scalp, then pulling them through her hair, tugging slightly, and Juliet felt her nipples beading.
Wow. She crossed her arms over her chest and tried to focus on…anything else.
It was impossible, of course. All she could really think about was how big Sawyer’s fingers and hands were, how the roughness of his skin caught on her hair slightly, how confident he was even when braiding hair, how he’d come over in the first place because he was concerned.
It wasn’t just his hands, either. He was standing close, obviously, his huge body right behind her, emanating heat and bigness and hardness. No, hardness and bigness didn’t seem to be things that could be emanated, but dammit, Sawyer Landry did.
As he started braiding her hair, his fingers and the backs of his hands skimmed over her neck and upper back and she knew he noticed the goose bumps. He didn’t comment, but then, he didn’t really have to, did he? She was just grateful that she didn’t actually shiver.
It didn’t bother her that Sawyer might know she was attracted to him. It was more that something as simple as having him braid her hair made her horny was a little embarrassing.

My Best Friend's Mardi Gras Wedding is almost here!
I can't wait for you to meet Josh and Tori in the first book in my new series, Boys of the Bayou!
Here's a peek into My Best Friend's Mardi Gras Wedding!
He tossed the two quarters in the tip bottle on the bar. “Free three sips of a drink. Fifty-cent payment for the advice to stay the hell away from N’Awlins boys who drink too much bourbon and barely recognize nice girls anymore.”
“You think I’m a nice girl?”
“I definitely do.”
She was. She didn’t realize she broadcast it quite so loudly, but yeah, she was. She nodded. “Sorry about that.”
He gave her a smile. “Somebody’s gotta go square dancing with all those nice farm boys up north.”
She gave a little gasp, but she couldn’t help her grin. “I’ve never been square dancing in my life.”
He chuckled. “But I bet you’ve let a nice Iowa boy drive you around on his tractor.” He wiggled one eyebrow suggestively.
She scoffed. “Not even once.”
“No?”
She shook her head. “Don’t need a boy for that.” Tori slid her purse strap up on her shoulder. “I’ve got my own tractor to drive around. When I’m in the mood for…tractor driving.”
There was a brief pause and then he laughed.
In a brief flash of sassiness, she winked at him. “But if you ever make it to Iowa, I’ll take you on a ride.”
“Damn, girl, that’s tempting.”
She smiled. “Thanks, Josh.”
“For?”
“Being a good guy.”
He gave a little shrug. “I’m already regretting it, I’ll be honest.”
With a smile, she turned and started for the door.
She’d just stepped out onto the sidewalk when she felt someone grasp her upper arm and twirl her around.
It was Josh.
“Wha—”
He cupped her face and covered her mouth with his.
Coming April 9th!
Available at Apple Books, Amazon, Barnes and Noble, Kobo, and Google Play! Paperback available too!

Nice and Easy is almost here!
I'm SO excited that you all get to dive into Nice and Easy on Tuesday!! (Feb 12th :) )
Nice and Easy wasn't, well, easy to write! lol! And it took me a long time to figure out why. Actually, it took author friend Lila Dubois to figure out why!
I was gritting my teeth and cursing at Caleb and Lexi for not doing things my way one day while chatting on Facebook with Lila, Mari Carr, and Erin McCarthy. My problem? Caleb and Lexi were too perfect for one another. They already had the co-parenting and friendship thing worked out. They loved each other's kids. They had a ton of chemistry. So why couldn't they just be together already? Why even write the book? They already had their happily ever after right in front of them.
But, well, that's not how romance novels work, right? :) There has to be SOME obstacle for them to figure out, some way for them to grow, something that makes them truly think about if the relationship is worth it.
Lila fixed the problem for me when she said, "So he's the big hero, the guy who fixes everything for her, the one with all the answers, right?"
Me: "Yep."
Her: "Then you have to come up with something he *can't* fix. Something that goes against his world view of taking care of her and doing everything right."
Me, "Oooooh."
Nice and Easy
And, being me, I didn't just come up with one thing Caleb had to struggle with (hint, something with one of the kids), but TWO things... including something that Lexi needed and wanted from him, that he wasn't sure he could deliver. In the bedroom.
This took the story in a whole new, very fun, very satisfying direction! Nothing I love more than seeing an uber-confident, alpha guy face the fact that he's not good at *everything*...and then work his ass off to figure out a way to BE good at those things too for the woman he loves!
I can't wait for you to see how Lexi and Caleb really figure everything out, including how to love each other exactly the way they both need to be loved!
xoxo

“What can I get you?” Then he glanced at Addison. “And please don’t say a hurricane.” He gave her a wink.
She smiled. “You don’t know how to make a hurricane?”
He chuckled. “You can’t get your liquor license in New Orleans without proving you know how to make a hurricane.”
The drink had been invented at one of the most famous bars in the Quarter, Pat O’Brien’s, and they served them by the gallons over there. But they didn’t make the best ones. Several places served them and a few even did it pretty well. Pierre Maspero’s, for instance. But no one could touch the recipe Ellie Landry used at her tiny dive bar just outside the bayou town of Autre, Louisiana.
So Gabe didn’t even try.
“If you want a hurricane, I’ll take you to the best place for them in Louisiana,” he said. Though why he’d said “take you” instead of “send you,” he wasn’t sure. “Just like if you want gumbo, I won’t serve it to you, because if you’re gonna eat gumbo, you’re gonna do it right and that means havin’ my grandma’s. Now,” he said, taking out a glass and filling it part-way with lemonade. “If you want a Pimm’s cup that will make you wonder how you ever drank anything else, or seafood pot pie that you’ll dream about, or brown butter pecan pie that you’ll want to roll around in, then you’ve come to the right place.”
Addison looked at Elena with wide eyes. “Brown butter pecan pie?”
Elena laughed. “Yeah. And it’s that good. It’s how Gabe and Logan get all the ladies.”
Addison looked back at Gabe. She lifted a brow. “Which one are you?”
“Gabe.” He pointed behind her. “That’s my brother Logan.”
Addison glanced over to where Logan was setting plates of food down in front of customers. She looked back. “You both need pie to get ladies?”
“No one said need,” he told her with a grin.
“What do you know about pralines?”
“I can make you a praline milkshake that will make you want to propose to me,” he told her honestly.
“Huh. What’s in that?”
Playful. That was exactly his impression of her from the texts, and he couldn’t begin to describe how amazing it was to find out she was the same in person. “Whiskey, caramel, ice cream and—”
“Say no more,” she said. “I want that.”
“You got a ring in your pocket?” he asked.
She laughed. “Maybe we New York girls are harder to impress than the girls you’ve been feeding whiskey to.”
