Blue Ink Review

“An empathetic, heartwarming underdog story that should appeal to a variety of teen readers. Hy’s relationships, in all their tenderness and awkwardness, are beautifully drawn.” -BlueInk Review

Early praise for "Not My Fault"

“Clever, funny, poignant, very readable, great characters, and the gender-neutral twist is timely and well done. Bravo!” Ellen Miles, Author of The Puppy Place series (Scholastic)

“What a truly wonderful and lovely read. I was so taken and touched by the storyline and I was completely caught up in the clever and timely plot. But mostly, I was just in love with Hy and Belinda and the rest of their motley posse...I read a lot of YA novels as we choose only a few for 192 Books and this one will be top of my list.” Lisa Knowlton 192 Books NYC

“Just finished your novel and all I can say is I didn’t want it to end. I literally kept checking how many pages were left so I could savor them.”
-Mike Deming, 8th grade English teacher, Clarkstown Central School District

Here's what I'm hoping...

I'm hoping this novel sparks conversation. I hope it stirs empathy and awkward feelings, both present and long buried. But most of all I'm hoping you relate to Hy in your own individual way as a reader. You are on the inside. Who is Hy?
