Hot electrodes... spinal surgery... what could go wrong?

Secondborn goes into hospital today. They are going to stick electrodes into one side of her spine, heat them up to 90' C and fry the nerve endings.
Won't that be fun?
If this works (as in does something about the excrutiating pain she's in 24...

And the side effects start to kick in...

So, finally, after being zapped on a regular basis for the past 4 weeks by what is - I am reliably informed - mega-voltage photon radiation, I have finally developed a side effect...

That's right... Kerry is the winner of the second character we auctioned off at Supanova.

Kerry's incredibly generous bid of $550 will go to Queensland Flood relief.

Now I have to decide who Kerry Boyle is going to be...

Arrived in Brisbane for Supanova...

Rented a car.
Got lost.
Oh, and Qantas lost Secondborn's luggage.
The Hilton, however, is lovely, as usual. Missed the preview night at Supanova, thanks to Qantas... still waiting to see what the auction for the next character went for.
