Happy summer! A free short story

To celebrate summer reading, the ocean and cool things in general the fun book blog A Backwards Story is co-hosting Splash into Summer- a blog series about books involving mermaids and other denizens of the deep (there's even a featured book about a kraken! ). There are also fun giveaways for all the books, including a signed copy of REVEL for US and Canadian readers.

I've also contributed a short story there called The Lighthouse. It's set in the world of my book REVEL, but some years earlier, at the turn of the last century in fact. It's so much fun to imagine other characters and other mysteries in the cold waters off the coast of Maine.  Please stop by Bonnie's blog and read it:

Revel-ations and giveaways

I'm not blogging these days- dealing with a health issue unfortunately. But the good news is- REVEL is almost out! After so long my sea-monster fantasy is going to be here February 12th! I'm really happy that the first few people to read it seem to like it. Even Kirkus was rather kind. There are a couple of places to win a free one:

WARPED- RITA finalist

Just got an amazing call from Linda Jones from the Romance Writers of America. WARPED is a finalist in two categories for the RITA award, for Best Young Adult Romance and Best First Novel!!!

I knew the calls were going out today but I had just about steeled myself to leave the house and carry on as usual when the phone rang. Out went the sangfroid and in came the gaspy tears. Heck, I don't even know if I just spelled sangfroid right. I don't care.



This is such a thrilling surprise- I'm so honored for my book to be among the stars on those lists!!
