Part eight of the Series: Food for the Family
There are 20 foods that I will not buy for my family after careful research and experience in healthy eating for my family.
Continuing with Meats:
Pork packaged on the shelf.
Pork is a notoriously unclean meat. Studies have shown that pork meats like bacon and sausage are high in fat and bad for your cholesterol.
What do I mean when I speak of shelf stable packaged pork? This is pork that is usually salted and is non-refrigerated. It can be found on shelves near the meat isle.
While pork is one of the most widely eaten meats around the world, it is one of the worst for the health. Pigs are scavengers and along with their slop (feed) they will eat dead carcasses, worms and other insects and even their own feces. They also do not sweat to release their toxins. The toxins are therefore kept within the pig and we consume it when eating pork.
I confess, I still use bacon and occasionally sausage, but what I won't buy is the shelf stable pork. Pork is notorious for containing parasites. Trichinosis, also called trichinellosis, or trichiniasis, is a parasitic disease that you can get from eating pork no matter what part of the world you live in. It doesn't necessarily have to be raw or undercooked to get a parasite from the meat. This makes me even more leery about eating the pork that isn't refrigerated.

Speaking of parasites, when was the last time you did a colon cleanse? Did you know they should be done once or twice a year. I recommend Health Plus Inc's colon cleanse.

The Gypsies Move Again
Life in the West has been busy { as usual }. I am so excited. We manifested a beautiful, large home. What a joyful blessing!
For those who remember my last post about Feng Shui and the New Year, we rearranged the house keeping all large, heavy pieces of furniture off the south wall. Three months before that, I said a prayer asking for a large house that was in the same price range OFF post if at all possible. Then I wrote down all the details I wanted in that house and visualized us in it. Fast forward to the new year and one week after our rearranging the furniture my husband was out running in our neighborhood. He saw a for rent sign nine houses down from ours and called on it. It was the house for us. It has 800 more square feet (nearly 3,000 total), same price, an extra bathroom (4), and hard wood floors even! Everything has worked perfectly to move into it. We moved in the house one week later!
Here are some pictures of the new house.

I'm starting our series Food for the Family back up. For those who haven't read this series I'm sharing 20 foods that I will not buy for my family after careful research and experience in healthy eating for my family. I'm working on this post right this moment.
So….have we won the gypsies prize? { Not that I'm going for that award or anything…LOL }

Free Audio on Essential Oils (My Interview)

I invite you to listen to this free audio of my interview with Tahna Lee about how to be your own Family Physician with Essential Oils. It is about 1 hour 10 minutes long.
"My name is Tahna Lee and I use essential oils in my family for all of our health issues. I love to empower people with the understanding that essential oils are natural, potent, anti-bacterial compounds with anti-viral, anti-inflammatory, and even anti-tumoral properties. In the natural world, essential oils are the "power tools" that help relieve symptoms and disease with our "want relief now" speed and effectiveness.
I have 3 certificates in Aromatherapy and hundreds of classroom hours of learning and teaching all the various uses of essential oils. I am passionate about getting this information out so people know that there are choices when it comes to health care. Essential oils are the fastest growing segment of the health and wellness industry. Attend our class to learn why!"
The promotion we talk about at the end still is in effect, so email me below for more details.
