When You Think You Know…But You Have No Idea

You know how you think you know … you think you know where your life is headed?

You think you know how this or that relationship will turn out?

You think you know how your “career” or “business” will expand or contract?

You think you know where you’ll live and who you’ll love?

You think you know, because knowing makes you feel safe. Secure. Protected.

Only you don’t know.

In fact, you have no idea.

You have no idea how amazing, how magical, how off-the-charts-unbelievably good your life can be.

Why?

Because you’re trying to control.

You’re trying to make shit happen.

You’re trying to make people love you.

You’re trying to get your business to this or that level.

You’re trying to climb this or that ladder of achievement.

You’re trying to move here or there.

You’re trying to get this or that job.

And I’m here to tell you – from extensive personal experience both in my own life and in the lives of the near 1,000 individuals I’ve supported over the past 8 years – there is no possible way that you can live the glorious, fulfilling, joyous life that you’re here for when you’re trying to control any single thing.

This bomb was dropped on me as I lay in a hammock in Abadiania, Brazil in 2008. As I lay there, mostly catatonic, processing my first psychic surgery, through the soft breeze I heard, “You are not in control.”

I bolted upright.

No. I WAS in control. Wasn’t it me who just sat up in this very hammock (awkwardly so, it arching back and forth as I tried to catch my balance)?!

I WAS the one making the DECISIONS.

I was the one LIVING this life.

Wasn’t I? Wasn’t I?

I wasn’t so sure after a woman at the John of God casa “prayed” over me and I felt body sensations I had never before experienced and 2 weeks later I was “healed” of the reproductive health issues I had been having for over a year.

I went on to spend the 8 years following that psychic surgery filled with an immense passion and commitment to both understanding & living the Magic of this life – of Spirit, of our desires, of why and how life works the way it does.

And over time it became more and more clear to me that the whisper I heard in that hammock was the exact, most aligned, truest truth. You Are Not In Control.

The more I surrendered my will to Divine Will, the better my life got.

The richer – both financially and in experiences and emotions – my life got.

The more Love that I felt.

The more Joy that I felt.

As someone who had prided themselves on being a Type A, go-getter – I was set free.

I was finally able to breathe deep.

I was home. To the TRUE Me. The Me I couldn’t access in my control and fear and worry.

So listen closely … that voice that I heard, that voice that you are hearing now – it’s right, you are not in control.

You are not in control of ANY of the outcomes in your life. Say it with me, “I now surrender control to the outcomes in my life.”

You are not in control of the people that come into your life or the ones that leave.

You are not in control of Mother Earth’s movement or not-movement.

You are not in control of the car, the house, the job, the business.

But you ARE a valuable and important co-creator of your (& the collective!) life experience.

And as such you are in charge of the following:

**Your reactions to what is happening around you.

**What actions you take to support your Destiny (& thus the collectives) in unfolding with ease, grace and abundance.

**How you choose to “work” with the non-physical energy around you, including your Spirit Team and Source, as well as aspects such as time and the quantum field that we exist in.

And you can make your life even easier by boiling it down to this:

You are in charge of your relationship with your Higher Wisdom (Higher Self, Spirit Team and Source) and following all actions directed from It. Then, then you must surrender your hold on every single outcome from every single action that you take.

If you want to live in joy that is.

Oh, and bliss.

Oh, and wealth and abundance.

Oh, and Love.

Oh, and peace.

It’s taken me 38 years to get here. But I am telling you, it was worth every ounce of “work” I put into it AND there is still so much more to discover.

It’s time to say good-bye to your illusion of control.

I had to have it pried from my cold, sweaty, grasping hands (and that’s just not pretty).

Don’t do that to yourself.

Save yourself the suffering and the pain and just —– Surrender.

The end of August (Mastery completes synchronistically on 8/2) is when the next, big, new chapter of our life must begin IF we have done the Soul work necessary for this to happen. If we don’t, we’ll be mired in drama central (and no one wants to be part of that!).

You are being called to connect deeply with the core of who you really are in a way you have never done before. What is it that you HAVE to do that makes everything else fade away in non-importance? What is calling you from the depths of your being?

You must deep dive so that you can expand into the life that is waiting for your conscious, co-creation with it.

Why Meditating For 11 Minutes Can Make You Feel Better Now

I used to loathe meditation. Even the term made me uncomfortable.

Sitting, alone and quiet, just focusing on my breath for what seemed like hours on end was as close to torture as I could stand.

I would try it, halfheartedly anyway, and after a minute or so conclude that while other people may be able to do this mediation thing — I was not one of them.

But when health crisis after health crisis came knocking on my body’s door and everyone from my physical therapist to surgeon suggested I give it a shot, I knew I had to find a way to overcome my meditation avoidance once and for all.
