I generally prefer drawing figures and props over background drawing, and I've really started to feel how much of a liability that is. Is there any way to make drawing backgrounds fun for me, or some method that can blend it into my workflow that makes it
Drawing can’t always be fun. Sometimes you gotta hunker down and draw like a crazy person all alone in solitary confinement. Turn on music, a documentary or something that won’t need much of your vision since you’ll be drawing. Or podcasts. Sometimes you got to mentally chain yourself to the table and do something you don’t want to do. And backgrounds are quite the chore, it’s gonna be hard work.
