A New Interview (With Me)
A new, and quite extensive, interview with me, enlivened with many excellent photographs courtesy of Mr Shaun Pimlott, has now come online. It may be viewed, and read, here:

Please settle down with some spiced rum when you have a spare half hour and immerse yourself, if you would like to.

A GoFundMe appeal for writer Salvattore Beteta
I am pasting here a link to a GoFundMe campaign for Peruvian writer, Salvattore Beteta:
https://www.gofundme.com/f/gifted-per...
Here is the text from the fundraiser page:
Please consider contributing.
Thank you.
QSC.

Here is the text from the fundraiser page:
Today I want to talk to you about my dear friend, Salvattore Beteta. Sal has been like a son to me for nearly a decade, and he is in dire need of your help. He is a native of Lima, Peru, and at the time of this writing, he and his family are forced to live on the streets.
Sal is a gifted writer, a budding freelance journalist, and a Spanish/English translator. Unfortunately, he has been in a state of poverty for years, and due to recent events in his life, he has been deprived of his laptop, in addition to stable living conditions or food. Without a laptop, he cannot submit work, and therefore cannot afford to buy food, pay for housing, or do much of anything else.
Sal is also one of the best people I know. He is giving, loyal, and compassionate. He is stuck in a third world country in the midst of extreme civil unrest, and has no means of escape or elevating his station in life. With your help, he will be able to get his laptop back and start writing, pay his bills, and secure housing and food for himself, his mother, and her boyfriend.
I ask you, from the bottom of my heart, please consider contributing to this GoFundMe. Sal has so much to say, and in such an articulate way, and the world needs to hear his voice. He deserves so much more than what he has. Can you help?
Please consider contributing.
Thank you.
QSC.

Aesop and Kosmoss
Some more news.
The first issue of the Kosmoss magazine is available from the Kosmoss website, here.
It contains short written pieces by Dominika Kieruzel, Monika Kostera and myself. Here is a description of the contents:
There is also quite a long short story of mine currently available in the very handsomely produced Fabulous Aesop , from Zagava Books.
The story in question is called 'The Old Man and Death', taking its title and basic conception from the Aesop fable of that name (number 60 in the Perry Index). The story (my tale of that title in the anthology) is just over 30 pages long and is accompanied by an illustration from Natalie Kay-Thatcher.

Thinking about AI, art, technology, literature, empathy and the idea that we definitely can question what we see as our destiny.

New release - Ikaho

https://zagava.de/shop/ikaho?edition=8
Here is the blurb:
The book will feature artwork from Joseph Dawson.
https://zagava.de/shop/ikaho?edition=8
Here is the blurb:
If you could go now to any place in the world, where would it be? The author, Quentin S. Crisp, invites you to Ikaho, in the mountains of Japan. This is the backdrop for the tale of a strange, chance meeting between two wayfarers, a mendicant priest and a girl. What they learn from each other unfurls something of the very heart of timeless Ikaho.
A novella from Quentin S. Crisp set in the Edo period, Ikaho is in the tradition of the Japanese ninjōbon, or 'books of human feeling'. Warm as an old tale told over heated saké, Ikaho is also a meditation on place, time and eternity, a revolving door of open-ended narrative by which the reader might enter and visit the magical time-and-place known by that name.
The book will feature artwork from Joseph Dawson.

Nobody Knows You
The latest from Kodagain, with lyrics by me, at the following link:
https://soundcloud.com/kodagain/nobod...
Lyrics here:
Nobody Knows You
They can track and trace,
Recreate your face,
But nobody knows you.
They can check your stats,
Scan through Facebook chat,
But nobody knows you.
Nobody knows you
Nobody knows who you are.
They know everything,
Where you've been, and where you're going,
But they'll never go there with you,
Right to the end of the wharf
Where hearsay ends and living starts.
They can cancel you,
Deconstruct your views,
But nobody knows you.
Your friends take their lies
As friendly advice,
But nobody knows you.
Nobody knows you
Nobody knows who you are.
They know everything,
What you've bought and who you talk to,
But they'll never see what you do
From zero co-ordinates
As you turn to face your fate.

Autumn and Spring Annals
It looks as if my new book, a collection of verse with the title Autumn and Spring Annals, is impending from Snuggly Books:
https://twitter.com/SnugglyBooks/stat...
This is a collection of collections. It is in the same sequence as September and October and contains November, December, January, February, March and April, these corresponding to the years 2017, 2018, 2019, 2020, 2021 and 2022 respectively.
This is the blurb:
"Six years in six months, or six months in six years—Autumn and Spring Annals is a diary in verse, each day crystalized—in beauty, worry, dread and profundity. Quentin S. Crisp, a writer of timeless stature, lays his heart bare in a book that is at once haunting and enriching and which, while indicting the filth of the sublunary world, surges with unexpected happinesses and unmistakable life."
Please do also remember that I have a Patreon account, to which you may subscribe:

I hope and believe that it will not be too long before I have more news about this and other things.

Just some links to recent things.
Some designs, by Kulchur Kat, for my Patreon piece, The Old Doctor Who, if it were an actual book:

Also, I am now uploading a new Kodagain video, such as the following, to YouTube every Friday, and intend to do so for the next year or two:

And, finally, here's a new blog I've been toying with, under the title of Close Reading. (It's a blog about language.):
