A Sexy Mind Blog Hop – Matty and Jay from Always MJ
It’s Day 2 of the A Sexy Mind Blog Hop and I’m thrilled to welcome SJD Peterson (Jo) to my blog. Actually Jo doesn’t really get any screen time today. Matty and Jay, the very intriguing heroes of Always MJ, have taken over and they’re answering some questions and heating things up. But first, here’s a little more about their story.
Always MJ by SJD Peterson
BLURB:
Matthew Jonathon Parker planned every aspect of his day. From the time he woke up until the exact minute he crawled back into bed, his day was set. He wasn’t the kind of man to seek out other men in chat rooms. He certainly wasn’t the type to fall in love with someone he only knew from typed words.
After a six-month online affair, Matty agrees to meet Jay in Florida for a weekend getaway. Only Jay isn’t what Matty expected; although, perhaps he should have known it was too good to be true.
After all, Jay’s screen name AlwaysMJ stands for ‘Always making jokes’–or does it?
And now on to the interview….
Do you have a nickname? What is it, and where did you get it?
MJ: Matty. I’ve always been called Matty, it’s just short for Matthew.
J: None I can say here. I promised Matty I’d behave.
What do you wear when you go to sleep?
J: Matty.
MJ: What the hell? You can’t wear me.
J: Sure I can. You drape yourself all over me like a blanket. Matty is a major cuddler. No clothes allowed in our bed. I love neekid cuddling.
MJ: ~blushes~
In your opinion, what is your best feature? What is your partner’s best feature?
MJ: My best feature is my brain for sure.
J: Pfft, his ass is by far his best feature.
MJ: You said you love my eyes.
J: Yeah I did, I said I love looking into your eyes when I’m pounding—
MJ: ~glares~ Shut it!!
J: So what’s my best feature?
MJ: I was going to say your mouth, but that will only get you talking all naughty again, so I’ll go with eyes.
Do you have a job? What is it? Do you like it? If no job, where does your money come from?
MJ: Director of Finance and yeah I like my job.
J: Kept man.
MJ: You are not. He’s a software consultant; he just wishes he were a kept man since he hates traveling.
J: No I don’t hate traveling, I hate leaving you.
MJ: Interview over? That needs a special kind of thank you.
J: Not yet, but hot damn I’m getting lucky after this!
What is your boss or employer like?
MJ: He can be a pain in the ass sometimes. Always wanting to know what I’m doing, where I’ve been, when I’m coming over for dinner.
J: Yeah your dad is worse than your mom is. Matty is a daddy’s boy! My boss on the other hand is super-hot, great in bed and a fricken genius.
M: Ego much?
J: You saying I’m not super-hot and great in bed?
Do you tend to save or spend your money? Why?
MJ: I’m a finance specialist, of course I save money. Not any easy thing to do with him around.
J: I like to keep up on the latest technologies.
MJ: No you have a freaky electronics fetish.
J: How else am I going to make, edit and share my homemade porn videos?
MJ: What!
J: Simmer down tiger, I’m only kidding. ~whispers~ about the sharing part.
What song is “your song?” Why?
MJ: Closer to the Edge by 30 seconds to Mars. Fricken love that song, no regrets and I’m living my life the way I want.
J: Oh good song choice, Matty.
MJ: Thanks and yours is?
J: Let’s get it on, by Marvin Gaye and duh! ~starts singing to Matty~ “Don’t you know how sweet and wonderful life can be? I’m asking you, baby, to get it on with me”
MJ: Hell yeah! Interview is over! Bye!
J: ~Races after Matty~
I can’t wait to learn more about these guys! I bet you can’t either. If you’d like to be entered to win a copy of the book, leave a comment with your email and the answer to this question: What is Matty (MJ)’s job?

Guest Blogger: Talia Carmichael
Today I'm welcoming author Talia Carmichael to my blog. She's agreed to answer some questions about herself and her writing.
Tell us about your latest release.
Talia: After the Fall (The Right Choice #1) is about meeting someone who unexpectedly becomes part of your life. They become important to you but you won't admit it. At least not until you realize that you have fell for them. Then you go forward After the Fall.
Leigh Masters is a bookstore owner who is having problems with the company he hired to renovate his store and apartment. Leigh doesn't do relationships and is very outspoken when it comes to what he wants.
Malcolm Snipes is one of the owners of the company who is working with Leigh. He is used to being professional and knows when he wants something he goes after it. He knows Leigh is stubborn but he's fine with getting around that attitude.
What is your favorite genre to write? What other genres do you enjoy?
Talia: All of them. So far the books I have contracted are in the contemporary genre however I do write in most other genres. I enjoy them all. Each brings something different. I write based on what characters move me to write. I enjoy a good story and don't really think about genre.
Do you have a favorite character from one of your books?
Talia: Uh huh not answering this. LOL. Answering this, is like trying to choose between who is your favorite child or niece/nephew, sibling, parent. Not a question I can answer in all honesty. I think it is best to leave it to the readers.
Is there a style or genre of writing that you haven't tired yet but you'd like to explore?
Talia: No there isn't any style or genre that I want to try that I haven't. If I come up with a story no matter up in a genre or style I try it. It might not ever see the light of day but I do try it. LOL.
How do you make time in your life for writing?
Talia: Writing is an integral part of my life. I have a schedule I work by. This is my lifeline so I can get my books written. The schedule has built in "me time" which is when I take a break from writing. It can range from a day or two to weeks. I do nothing that has to do with my writing or anything to do with it during that time. This helps me keep from burning out.
When I'm writing I write a certain word count a day and anything over that word count is a "whoo hooo I've done more day". I have an idea of how long it will take me to finish a book – not word count wise since each book word count goes based on story – and I set that time aside in my schedule. Even if I have a whoo hooo over word count day I still meet my word count the next day. Sometimes this means I finish a book earlier than planned. If I do complete the book earlier the days I have left in my schedule for the book becomes "take a break days". I love those unexpected days so I tend to push myself to work harder to get the book completed. Some days due to other things in my life I don't always get to make that word count but I don't stress about it. If I need to take what was a writing day and not get to write I just check my schedule and adjust it. I basically shift a break time day and make it a writing day. So having a schedule works to keep me going.
What do you like to read? Do you have some favorite authors?
Talia: I'm an avid reader and read in every genre. As long as the book captures my attention I'm reading it. It goes according to what mood I'm in. I could feel like reading historical romances, sci-fi, urban fantasy, thrillers, romantic suspense, romance (every kind of genre), true crime, mystery, mainstream, fiction or any other numbers of genre and sub genre out there.
Reading is fun and relaxes me. And there is no way I can list my favorite authors there is too many to list in all the genre of books I read.
If you decide to take a Saturday off, what are we likely to find you doing?
Talia: I curl up on my couch surrounded by movies and books. I'll rotate between reading and watching movies. I'd order in and just chill out as I enjoy some of my favorite pastimes. Reading and movies.
Choose six adjectives to describe yourself.
Talia: Okay hmm… Shy, geeky, caramel obsessed, family-oriented, genuine, weirdly wacky stranger person.
I think I went over and strung some words together. LOL.
Describe the perfect meal.
Talia: Cheesy mashed potato and pot roast with a veggie on the side. Root Beer Soda. For dessert: something that has caramel.
If you were a dessert what would you be and why?
Talia: Something caramel. I don't know if you realized it yet but I love caramel. LOL.
Where can we find you on the web?
Talia: Theses are places to find me.

And excerpt from After the Fall…
After the Fall by Talia Carmichael
Blurb:
A renovation brings two men together who will find that unexpected meetings can bring about the most tempting of encounters. As the contractor works on getting the project in on time he also has his sights set on building something with the owner.
Leigh Masters is concerned the renovation of Masters Pages – his bookstore – will not be completed in time. He's losing his cool. A call to find the contractor hired brings unexpected results. The man doing his project has run off. In his place Malcolm – his brother and the owner of the company – comes to see Leigh. The man makes Leigh feel off-kilter. He has his doubts about Malcolm's assurances that the job will be done on time. As the renovation progresses he finds it hard to resist temptation of the man who is now in charge of renovating his bookstore. Malcolm knows what he's doing but Leigh wants to shake up his quiet, calm persona to see what he has hidden underneath. Malcolm Snipes has worked alongside his brothers to build Snipes Construction, their family owned business. He strives to maintain their reputation of providing excellent work, on time projects and being a professional. He's tired of picking up the messes of one of his irresponsible brothers. Except this time the call he gets from an irate client brings him in the path of a man who is fascinating. This time Malcolm won't mind taking over the renovation since he can keep an eye on sharp-tongued and sexy Leigh Masters. This renovation is about to become very interesting as they each wonder what happens after the fall…
Excerpt:
Malcolm put his cell phone back in its case, eyes still on Leigh's back. Although Malcolm had no clue what it was about this man that drew him, he would pursue it. After they'd finished the job. That only gave him an added incentive to get things done on time. Not that he needed it—he didn't work any other way.
With that in mind, Malcolm finished moving the boxes. As he piled them in the dining area, he could feel Leigh watching him. A small grin curled his lips. Yep—he couldn't wait to get this job completed and get to know Mr Masters better. His shaft hardened, very much in agreement with the idea. Malcolm placed the last box on the pile and turned to Leigh…and caught him watching him.
"Ready to show me the rest?"
Leigh nodded and got off the stool. Malcolm walked behind him, appreciating the curve of his ass. The constriction in his jeans got tighter. Malcolm stifled a groan. Yep—this project would be a test of his professionalism and control.
* * * *
Four weeks later, Malcolm wiped off his forehead and sat back on his heels. He glanced at the crown moulding he was putting up. It gave the store a classy look. Malcolm rolled his shoulders. He'd let the guys go for the night. They had been working hard, pushing to get stuff done.
"I said, that is not acceptable." Leigh's voice sounded from the counter not far from where Malcolm was working.
Malcolm recognised the tone as the one Leigh had used on him that first time. He turned his head and watched Leigh who was sitting behind the counter, on the phone. He was in a button-down, short-sleeved shirt the colour of his eyes. Without seeing the bottom half of his body, Malcolm would bet he was in some kind of slacks and loafers. Since he'd meet Leigh, Malcolm couldn't remember ever seeing him in jeans, boots or sneakers. Leigh's pants even had a perfect crease down the front.
"I'm opening in four weeks and you will have the display set-ups I ordered here as you promised. By next week." Leigh hung up.
Malcolm strode over to him. Leigh glanced up. When he was in front of the counter, Malcolm leaned against it.
"At least you didn't threaten him with your lawyer."
"I reserve that for special occasions. Namely wayward contractors. And it worked. You've done a lot in the last few weeks. But I still I have my doubts you'll be finished on time. At least using the lawyer card worked to get the work moving forward. It whipped you into shape. " Leigh smirked.
"You've got a sharp tongue when you're angry."
"Then don't make me angry," Leigh retorted.
"I could think of a lot of things you could do with your tongue." Malcolm watched Leigh's lips as he said it.
They parted and his tongue swiped out, wetting them. Malcolm raised his gaze. Leigh's blue eyes were intent. Malcolm debated for a moment whether he should do the professional thing and walk away. It was only four more weeks until he could ask Leigh out.
Malcolm wasn't sure who moved first. He reached for Leigh, and Leigh seemed to launch himself out of his chair and onto his knees on the counter. Malcolm slid his hands over Leigh's waist and pulled him across the marble surface.

Awesome review for Abandoned!
Serena Yates at QMO Books has this to say about Abandoned:
"it starts on a high of tension and doesn't let up. Not for a single second. This is one of those books where I have to take a deep breath at the end because I feel as if I've forgotten to breathe as I was reading."
"Perfect cloak and dagger – involving me totally and making me feel as if I was right in the middle of the mess these two had maneuvered themselves into. "

Abandoned is Available Now!
Abandoned by Silvia Violet
Now available from Silver Publishing!
Lark Zaccaro and Derek Carlson were partners and friends. Lark wanted more. Then someone at the Intergalactic Investigations Bureau sold them out to enemy aliens. Lark was forced to abandon Derek to the enemy, and Derek bought the IIB's story that Lark betrayed them all.
When Lark's deep cover mission and Derek's new job in search-and-rescue collide, the desire simmering between them explodes. Lark needs Derek's help to escape a new enemy, and Derek needs to discover the truth about what really happened on that alien planet. Can they overcome lies and betrayal and find the love and comfort they seek, or will their past forever keep them apart?
Excerpt:
Lark Zaccaro smiled as he stepped out of the dripping jungle heat and into the prison building. Even inside, the stale air was so splyvin' hot it belonged in an oven. He didn't know how anyone could breathe. Not that he was supposed to give a fuck if his prisoners got air or not. He took as deep a breath as he could and headed straight for the interrogation room.
A few hours earlier, his guards had discovered a man crouched in the underbrush, spying on their enclave. Lark's morning had been hell so far, and a vicious interrogation suited his mood perfectly. The two guards flanking the door stepped aside, so he could enter what was truly more of a torture chamber than an interrogation room. At least that's what it had been for his predecessor, and the longer Lark lived on Lancarina, the more he found himself becoming like the man he'd assassinated and replaced. He pushed that disturbing thought away. He wouldn't dwell on how low he'd sunk since he'd left his partner to die in a Lithusian prison cell.
The captive hung from the ceiling, suspended by a heavy chain circling his bound wrists. His toes barely scraped the floor, forcing his arms to support the weight of his large body. The dirty chain bit into his wrists, and blood dripped down his arms. In this squalid jungle, he'd have a deadly infection in no time. Lark would have to do something about that. The man had a ship with advanced defenses. Thus, he was Lark's ticket off this cesspool of a planet.
The man's clothes hung in shreds, and Lark couldn't help but admire his muscular body. His gaze slid over the captive's hard thighs, the impressive bulge in his pants, and the well-defined and disturbingly familiar planes of his chest. When he saw the man's face, he froze. No. It couldn't be. His former partner would have no reason to be here. But Derek Carlson, the man who had haunted Lark's nightmares and his fantasies every day for the six Old Earth months he been in this hellhole, was right in front of him. Chained. Suspended. His to do with as he pleased.
Lark's cock hardened, pressing against the confines of his pants. His body knew what it wanted from Derek, but his mind was less sure. Retribution? Forgiveness? A hot fuck before he threw him in prison to rot? Salvation? His gut knotted at that thought, and he fought to keep his guards from noticing how off-kilter he was. He had to play his role, not rush this moment.
There would be time later, in his private quarters, to decide what he wanted to know and how he was going to get the information. If the vessel they had captured in the jungle was Derek's private-issue ship, then he'd finally forsaken the lying scum at the Intergalactic Investigation Bureau. They might say their mission is to protect everyone in the five galaxies, but they only care about protecting their own asses. Lark intended to find out why Derek had left, but his guards would play no part in that interrogation. Derek was his.
Lark took a few steps toward the prisoner and studied him. He'd wanted him for years, from the moment they were assigned to work with each other at the IIB. Derek had turned down all his advances, saying they should keep their relationship professional. But now Derek was his prisoner, not his partner. If he wanted to live, he'd do whatever Lark told him to.
From the way Derek hung limply in his bonds, he was either unconscious or doing an excellent job of faking it. His former partner had fought hard from the look of him. A livid bruise stood out on one cheek and purple splotches decorated his ribs. A deep gash on his arm had dripped blood trails that were now dry. He would have to tend to Derek's wounds.
Lark needed the man's piloting skills. If he were going to kill Derek for believing those liars from the IIB when they told him Lark had turned traitor, he intended to do so with his own hands–after they got off planet. Fortunately, he kept a fully stocked first aid cabinet in his quarters. He just needed to find a way to get Derek there without making his men suspicious.
Nothing but fear and the promise of a huge payoff on their next deal kept Lark's men from turning on him, in the same way he'd turned on the man he had been sent here to investigate. He pulled a long, thin blade from his boot and pretended to examine the sharp edge as he circled Derek. He had to suppress a gasp when he saw the maze of scars criss-crossing Derek's back. If he let himself think about how Derek got those, he might be sick right here.
"Leave us," he said to the guards who were eyeing the prisoner in obvious hope of getting some play time.
When they didn't move, Lark turned on them. "Is something wrong with your ears? I said eave."
The less hostile of the two started for the door, but Grant, the most likely candidate for leading a mutiny, stood his ground, clenching his fists. "The little shit bit me. I want a piece of him."
"As I understand, it took four of you sorry fuckers to bring him down. I'm hardly going to reward your incompetence with a chance to get your rocks off."

Inspired by Joe Blog Hop – Birthday Boy
This is one of my favorite pictures of Joe. Those arms! This shot inspired my character, Coleman Wilder. He stars in Finding Release which will be available this summer from Silver Publishing. For now, I'll whet your appetite with a flash fic that takes place after Finding Release.
Birthday Boy by Silvia Violet
Jonah stood in the doorway of the barn watching Cole slide a pitchfork into the straw then chuck it into the Snowdrop's stall. The sight of Cole's sculpted arms flexing as he worked had Jonah's cock starting to swell. The white tank he wore and the low light made Cole's skin look even more bronze than usual. His jeans hung low, nearly revealing the top of his firm ass.
Cole had been doing a lot more of the physical work on the farm during the summer. A few of the hands had moved on, and as desperate as many people were for work, a lot of them refused to work for a gay man especially one that was half werewolf. They'd been short-handed for months which meant Jonah hadn't gotten as much time with his man as he'd like, but the work sure looked good on Cole.
Jonah licked his lips, wishing he were really there to seduce Cole rather than distract him. He glanced over his shoulder. Billy, the farm foreman, motioned for him to go on. Most of the hands were gathered around the bunkhouse. The cake sat on one of the tables outside, and a few men and women were busy bringing out the feast Jonah had requested for his lover's birthday.
He breathed in the scent of the fresh straw Cole was spreading in the stalls. It reminded him of the first time he'd made love to Cole, right here, in this very barn. Between the sight of Cole all sweaty from hard work and the memory of what they'd done in one of the stalls, he had to reach down and readjust his now fully hard dick.
Cole leaned the pitch fork against the wall and stretched, reaching his arms above his head, flexing the muscles of his back. Jonah bit his lip to hold in a groan. Then Cole looked over his shoulder and grinned impishly. He'd known Jonah was there, probably smelled him as he walked toward the barn. Did he smell the cake too?
"Showing off for me?" Jonah asked.
Cole grinned. "Maybe. Will it get me what I want?"
"Hell, yeah."
Cole looked him up and down, staring pointedly at the bulge in his pants. "Come here." His low voice was full of command.
Jonah walked, keeping his pace slow.
Cole growled. He was in a fierce mood. And a rough go with him was exactly what Jonah wanted for lunch. Maybe he should just tell the men to eat the cake themselves.
As soon as Jonah was in arm's reach, Cole yanked him against his chest. His eyes were dark with lust. "You want me to fuck you right here on the straw, don't you?"
Jonah could hardly breathe. "Yes."
Cole slide his lips along Jonah's neck and nipped at the tender skin. "I love the way your dirty minds works."
Jonah nodded. "Mmmhmm."
Cole kissed him, and he forgot all about birthdays and cake and lunches. His tongue tangled with Cole's, and he pushed his hands under Cole's tank top, sliding them over the sweaty muscles of his back.
Cole pushed one of his hands between them and cupped Jonah's cock. Jonah arched into him. He didn't want to wait. He wanted to fuck right now.
"Cole, you in here?" Billy called from just outside the barn.
Cole pulled away from Jonah's lips long enough to yell. "No!"
"We need you out here."
"I'm busy!"
Jonah fought the lust clouding his brain. They had to stop. He pushed at Cole's chest, trying to break his hold. "You should see what he wants."
Cole shook his head. "Later."
"Cole, I need to talk to you now," Billy hollered.
Cole let Jonah go. He scowled toward the door. "This better be good."
Jonah grinned. "It is."
Cole narrowed his eyes. "You didn't?"
Jonah's cheeks heated. He looked down at the floor.
"I told you not to make a fuss."
"Just go out there."
Cole grabbed Jonah's hand and strode toward the door. Jonah had to jog to keep up. When the stepped outside, a shout of "Happy Birthday" went up from the gathered crowd.
Cole smiled graciously and color rose to his cheeks. Shep, one of hands Cole had known for years, carried the cake toward him. "Happy Birthday, Boss!"
"Thanks!"
Cole's appreciation shown on his face. Jonah had been right to ignore his request for a quiet birthday. Cole squeezed Jonah's hand as he blew the out the candles and everyone started to sing.
Later when most of the men and women were settled at the tables, tucking into a hearty lunch of barbeque and all the best fixin's, Jonah leaned against a tree and watched, glad his plans had gone over smoothly. Cole came up behind him and pulled Jonah into his arms. He nuzzled Jonah's neck. "You're gonna pay for tricking me."
Jonah laughed. "You love this."
"I enjoy being with people I care about and seeing all of them happy, but you disobeyed me."
Jonah shivered. "Then by all mean, you should punish me."
"When I get you alone. I'll make sure you won't be able to sit down for the rest of the week."
Jonah was in the mood to tease though he knew his ass would pay for it later. "I thought the birthday boy got the spanking."
Cole growled. Jonah could feel the vibration against his back. He sank into his lover's arms, warm and content. Even when Cole was grouchy, he was the sexiest man Jonah had ever met. "I've got another surprise that you'll like better."
"You, naked and obedient?"
Jonah laughed. "We've got the rest of the day off, and no one's allowed in the house unless there's an emergency."
Cole groaned and tightened his hold on Jonah. His hard cock pressed into Jonah's back. He traced the outer edge of Jonah's ear with his tongue. "It's going to be a long, rough afternoon."
Jonah sighed. "I'm counting on it."

Flash Fiction Friday Inspired by Joe Manganiello
This is Joe Manganiello. He plays Alcide on True Blood. Isn't he HOT? I think so. I also think he's inspiring. Oh the fantasies he stirs up…..mmmm…..oh where was I? Right. Inspiring. Along with inspiring naughty day dreams, he also inspires stories and characters including werewolf cowboy Coleman Wilder, one of the heroes of my upcoming book, Finding Release.
This Friday (March 16) Poppy Dennison and I are hosting a flash fiction blog hop inspired by Joe. If you'd like to join in, write a shot original (not fan fic) piece based on a picture of Joe and post it on your blog. All the rules and info you need as well as more pics can be found here on the Facebook Event page.
This is going to be so fun!
