Free Fiction Friday — Dragonology
Announcing the return of Free Fiction Fridays! I can’t promise that it’ll be every Friday, but I’ll try my best to share something. In case you’re wondering what brought this on, I’m feeling quite chipper due to the unexpected success of Broken Wings on Smashwords. If you haven’t gotten your copy yet, don’t forget, it comes with an all new, exclusive story, Birthday Surprise, featuring Jak, Maika, and Akitra exploring their new relationship.
Today’s short story is an experiment in writing PW...

Broken Wings, Publishing, Moonlight
Wow, another update from me. That’s what happens when I have good news to share. ^_^
First of all, Broken Wings is finally ready for self-publishing. It didn’t take as long as I thought it would. I was afraid it would need a lot more formatting work than it did. Of course, the formatting was screwed up in the first version that I uploaded. There was weird spacing problems and the first paragraph of each chapter was in a smaller font than the rest, and the short story Birthday Surprise was all...

Let’s Get Excited!
Okay, so I’m excited, so that means you should be excited, too. Or at least mildly interested. ^_^
I’m actually making progress on the Broken Wings project. I have one article left to finish and I decided to include just one new story with the BW extras, but it’s a long story. It might reach 10,000 words before I’m finished. I’m currently at 7,100, so I really am close to being finished. It’ll need a few editing passes, but if I’m careful, I can usually feel 98% confident that I caught all the...

End of Year Recap and Plans For 2013
Hello all! I hope your holiday season has been a happy one. I’ve been house-sitting, so lots of quiet writing time, just me and the cat.
This year has been filled with ups and downs and lots of waiting. For me, at least, much of the waiting is over. Spellwrought is not going to be published by PD Publishing. I don’t know if they have made any public announcements regarding the information they recently gave their authors, so I won’t go into detail, but suffice it to say that sometime next year...

November Update
Hello all! Sorry this update is a little late. I’ve been pretty busy this month, although I decided not to do NaNoWriMo. I just had too much on my plate. I did finally finish the epic Person of Interest fanfiction that I’ve been working on for most of the year. It ended up being 108,000 words and 40 chapters long, an emotional roller-coaster of kidnapping, angst, shoot-outs, angst, hurt/comfort, smut, and smutty angst. I had a blast writing it, but now I’m taking a step back from the fandom a...

October Update
I’m going to try to post an update every month (even if I have nothing worth saying, lol) so you don’t think I vanished again. ^_^ Still no word on Spellwrought, although I did get paid my quarterly royalties for Magebound. That’s one thing they have always been extremely good at — paying on time and in full.
I’m still working on my epic Person of Interest fanfic, but it’s almost finished. I have one more chapter of the ‘story’ and then a two chapter epilogue for the smexy finale. I have to wr...

My Deepest and Most Humble Apologies
*Slinks sheepishly into the room*
Yes, I’m still alive, and I’m back, finally. I would like to apologize, first and foremost, for disappearing for over a year. This is unprofessional and inexcusable. Next, I’m going to try to make excuses, of course, but we all know the truth.
The main reason why I haven’t posted is because I haven’t had anything worth posting. No news on Spellwrought, no announcements on upcoming books, no new stories at all, and I’ll admit, I’ve been frustrated by the lack of...

A Thirst For Blood — My Vampires
There are a lot of vampire myths out there and a lot of writers like to put their own spin on the traditional creatures of the night. Read about how I do it in my latest article: Vampires.
Only 10 more days until Breach is out!
