Wolf Kahn was a German-born American artist known for his colorful oil and pastel landscapes. He was evacuated from Nazi Germany as a child as part of the Kindertransport and was reunited with his family in the United States. He served in the Navy and earned a bachelor's degree in fine arts from the University of Chicago. He was awarded a Fulbright Scholarship in 1962. On January 12, 2017, he was awarded the State Department's International Medal of Arts.
