Bloody Fabulous? You've got that right…

I'm thrilled to announce, I'm in an anthology with Kelly LinkHolly BlackMaria V Snyder and several other amazing storytellers. It's called "Bloody Fabulous" and it's edited by Ekaterina Sedia, who is just as wonderful. Look out for the antho this fall from Prime Books.

The image above evokes the mood of my story, "The Truth or Something Beautiful?" I can't tell you much about it yet, but there will be blood on the catwalk…

If you'd like to hear the theme song behind the "The Truth…" you can listen to it on Spotify— it's a very cool tune, of near the same name, by Paloma Faith.

Now, you must excuse me while I pass out from giddiness! ^_^

Coupling, Duos, Twinning, Better Together and Funny Too

What is is about humor and paranormal that go so well together? I remember watching Buffy the Vampire Slayer and never knowing whether I'd be scared near to thumb sucking or get to giggle like a ninny. Patricia Briggs' Mercy Thompson series and Ilona Andrews' Kate Daniels series perpetually find ways to make me laugh, while going for a kitchen knife (as protection against the darkness...you know, just in case). Ooh, and the inate sense of humor in the Fever series by Karen Marie Moning gets me going with each read. The hero, Jericho Barrons, is dark, gorgeous, and occasionally hilarious. Pardon me while I "woo hoo!"

There are three things ever present in my writing: action, the supernatural, and humor. Without doubts these are my favorite story elements, yet there are two things always present, even in my more cerebral tales: humor and the paranormal. Oh, and a hot hero/antagonist or two (yep, you read that right).

My books Keeper of the Way and Chaos Tryst go well together in that sense. Keeper is both funny and dark, with a fabulous hero. While Chaos is pure humor and escapism, with an equally fabulous hero. If you're curious, you don't have to decide between the two. Keeper of the Way is FREE from Amazon for two more days and Chaos Tryst is only $3. It's kinda a twofer. Check them out. I'd luv to hear what you think.

And I have one more question.

How about you, which books, series, or TV shows do you think best combine humor and paranormal?

A Gift For You aka Keeper’s A Keeper

Keeper of the Way is now FREE for 5 days, Feb 28 – Mar 3, on Amazon!

Keeper is very special to me and this marks the third edition (my favorite version). Heck, even the shortened link for the free download says “woo!” Don’t believe me? Check it out http://amzn.to/wooOHY See? I’m not the only one who’s excited!

Ah, and don’t think they’re aren’t any perks to downloading Keeper. There’s the battle of Severin vs. Zan Wynn (aka actors Takeshi Kaneshiro and James Marsters). These gentlemen made the book so easy to write.

Need more incentive?

I’m nothing if not accommodating.

Um… how do you spell *schwing*?

Round of Applause, Curtain Call

A man who loves for show can't outshine the man who loves in truth. The first leaves you with an empty stage when the curtain falls, the second couldn't care less whether or not there's an audience—so the curtain never falls and lights stay on.
