As many things in life, better out than in and you don't want to look back with regret of not having a go. Once you have something, test it again. Others' feedback is what will make your story better, so prepare to hear that feedback and don't take it personally. All products we buy go through multiple iterations, customer focus groups, you name it. Your writing journey will be no different. But your product will be better for it in the end.
